FörÀldrautbildning för adoptivförÀldrar: För adoptivbarnets bÀsta?

AbstractThe purpose of this essay was to study the parental education for adoptive parents. ItÂŽs provided by law since 1/1-2005 that parents have to participate in this education-program before they adopt. We wanted to look at what caused the change and made the education compulsory and to find out where the initiative came from, what purpose the education is supposed to fulfil, if it can facilitate for adopted children during their growth and whether the parental education can support the idea of what is best for a certain child always has to come first, according to the UN convention on the Rights of the child and the Haag-convention.The study was based on eight qualitative interviews, four with social workers, three with representatives of adoption-organisations and one with a representative of the public authority of international adoption (MIA). The conclusions of our study are that there is a risk that the education can not fulfil its purpose to prepare parents for their task, that it looses the idea of whatÂŽs best for the child and focuses on the parent instead. It seems to be more of a try out to not violate conventions signed and thereby fulfil a symbolic purpose..

Stroke is one of the most common diseases in Sweden and the third most common cause of death (National guidelines concerning stroke, 2000). Dysphagia is a common problem for stroke patients with almost 50 percent of patients suffering from severe swallowing dysfunction (Axelsson, Asplund, Norberg & Eriksson, 1989). The purpose of this study was to investigate how stroke patients with dysphagia experience their swallowing disorders. The method used was a qualitative literature study. An analysis of content was carried out using ideas and inspiration from Graneheim and Lundman (2003).

School can be an effective environment for achieving a more equal health among children and adolescents, since many individuals can be reached by the health promoting work in the school. In the year of 2000 a project in SkÄne was started for the development of health promoting schools. The health promoting projects however, have shown to be of short duration. So, as an alternative, the integration of the health in school ought to be tried. The aim of this study is to give examples how health promoting schools can strengthen their profile.

This Master thesis is about how to involve young people in a creative process. The aim is to see what methods can be applied to make them reach the kind of knowledge they need to be able to contribute to the creation of a memorial place. Issues such as if a place that displays death has a right to exist in an urban environment or why young people should be involved in the creative process are brought up and discussed in this thesis.The memorial place that the young people contribute to is unique, in some sense, due to it not commemorating any special event or person. The purpose of the memorial is rather to serve the public when larger catastrophes occur or to serve individuals who do not have a grave they can visit to commemorate their loved ones. The idea is to place the memorial in an urban setting in the city of BorÄs.In this thesis the process that the young people participate in is reported in a form similar to a diary where the reader can follow the developments of the young participants, from how they gain knowledge to how they develop their ideas.

"Man Kan Inte Klappa Med En Hand" : En intervjustudie om pedagogers uppfattningar av invandrarförÀldrars delaktighet i förskola

The purpose of the study is to explore preschool teachers experiences of how immigrant parents become involved in the preschool activities and how their linguistic and cultural background appears in relation to participation.The survey was conducted through individual interviews with eight preschool teachers working in various multicultural preeschools.The results of this survey shows that the preschool teachers perceive that parents with different cultural and linguistic backgrounds are reluctant to participate in various forms of cooperation, such as parent meetings. Preschool teachers believe that the lack of parental participation depends on the parents linguistic and cultural backgrounds, such as different approaches to understand the pre-school educational activity or the view of parenting, and other things such as language difficulties.Another result reveals also a great lack of written methods, because teachers sometimes face difficult dilemmas. To seek itself the right approach in a current situation can be both difficult and time consuming, therefore, the preschool teachers wish that there were already complete methods for use..

Hur ser förÀldrakontakten ut pÄ en invandrartÀt skola/ School/parent contact at a school with a high density of immigrants

VÄrt syfte med detta examensarbete Àr att undersöka hur förÀldrakontakten ser ut pÄ en invandrartÀt skola i Malmö, med sÀrskilt fokus pÄ utvecklingssamtalet. Vi har gjort fem semi-strukturerade intervjuer med fyra olika lÀrare samt bitrÀdande rektorn pÄ skolan. VÄra slutsatser Àr att de flesta av förÀldrarna i grundskolans senare Är, oavsett kunskaper i svenska sprÄket, kommer till utvecklingssamtalet. DÀremot uteblir majoriteten vid förÀldramöten. VÄrt resultat indikerar att detta inte bara beror pÄ om man förstÄr svenska eller inte, utan ocksÄ exempelvis pÄ vad man som förÀlder prioriterar eller kÀnner sig delaktig i.

Undervisningsbehov vid ischemisk hjÀrtsjukdom - en litteraturstudie om patientens uppfattning

The aim of this study was to determine the self-perceived learning needs in patients with Coronary Heart Disease (CHD). CHD is the leading cause of death worldwide. Poor compliance is one of the causes of rehospitalisation. Patients suffering from CHD need education in order to manage their disease and prevent readmission to hospital. As hospital stays diminish the time available for patient education is limited.

Bakgrund: Att vara med om en ovÀntad död kan för nÀrstÄende innebÀra en livskris och för en sjuksköterska kan mötet som uppstÄr i samband med detta vara svÄrt att hantera. Syfte: Syftet var att belysa upplevelser i mötet mellan nÀrstÄende och sjuksköterska i samband med att en person ovÀntat har avlidit. Metod: En litteraturstudie baserad pÄ kvalitativa artiklar har genomförts. Resultat: Resultatet innefattar nÀrstÄendes upplevelser och under den kategorin ingÄr subkategorierna lÄng vÀntan och önskan om information samt vÀnlighet och trygghet och under kategorin sjuksköterskans upplevelser ingÄr följande subkategorier osÀkerhet, rÀdsla och oro; behov av att fÄ vara hos de nÀrstÄende; otillrÀcklighet och ovisshet samt tidsbrist. Diskussion: Utebliven information skapar oro och osÀkerhet hos nÀrstÄende, brist pÄ tid ökar kÀnsla av stress hos sjuksköterskor och osÀkerhet hos sjuksköterskor i mötet pÄverkar nÀrstÄendes trygghet och tillit..

Preschool is a place where children, parents and teachers meet. Preschool is for children but also for the parents, they should feel confident about the place where they leave their children. We who made this study have a common interest to examine how teachersÂŽ attitudes to parental contact in preschool works. The purpose of this study is to examine how teachers relate to parental contact.What do the educators think of their professionalism in the profession? Do educators believe that parental contact is important? And how do they work to obtain a good parent contact?The study has three questioners holder: How does teachers relate to parental contact in preschool?What do the educators think of their professionalism in the profession? And how visible educators child development and learning in daily contact with parents?We chose to do qualitative interviews with four preschool teachers at two different preschools in Sweden, to seek answers to our questions.

This essay attempts to examine whether it is possible to find a mutual understanding of the concept of drive between Spinoza?s philosophy and Freud?s psychoanalytical theory. Former texts on this subject have given a variety of conclusions: from a radical separation between the two authors to a complete identification between the two. The drive, or the desire which is the term Spinoza uses, has in Spinoza?s philosophy its foundation in the concept of conatus.

Postnatal depression (PND) is a condition which affects about 8-15% of recent parents. The cause of PND is unknown but several underlying factors have been purposed through different studies. This descriptive literature review aims to illuminate the parent?s situation when the mother is affected with PND. In search of literature, the databases Medline (via PubMed), Academic Search Elite, Cinahl, PsycINFO, PsycARTICLES and SweMed+ were used.
