Syftet med studien var att granska hur smärta och smärtbehandling hos barn under 12 år med lårbensbrott dokumenterades enligt Socialstyrelsens föreskrifter i omvårdnadsjournalen på akutmottagningen på Mora lasarett. En retrospektiv journalstudie genomfördes på journaler tillhörande de barn med lårbensbrott som vårdats på akutmottagningen under en femårsperiod. Studien omfattade totalt 38 journaler. För att granska dokumentationens kvantitet och kvalitet användes en modifierad granskningsmall och granskningsnyckel CAT-CH-ING. Utifrån dessa kunde dokumentationen poängsättas och frekvensen av dokumentationen rörande smärta och smärtbehandling beräknas.

In the post Cold-War era, world politics was transforming itself through its emerging complex issues such as terrorism and influential and interdependent actors such as the European Union. In this new era, the European Union was developing its Common Foreign and Security Policy pillar both to present a coherent and unified EU policy and to prove its political potent in order to become an influential actor on world politics. On the other side, security environment was also transforming its content through emerging actors and issues. As one of the most prominent actors of the world politics, the EU was influenced by the transformation of security environment, whose economic ?soft power? proved necessary but insufficient for being a global power in this emerging security environment.

Bakgrund:Cirka 80 procent av Sveriges befolkning kommer någon gång i livet att drabbas av ryggsmärta. Ryggsmärta är en av de största anledningarna till att patienterna söker vård vilket ställer stora krav på sjukvårdspersonalen. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att beskriva hur patienter med långvarig ryggsmärta upplever möten med vårdpersonal. Metod: Under litteraturstudiens gång har elva vetenskapliga artiklar analyserats och sammanställts. Detta resulterade i två presenterade kategorier.

In studies of serum, in the early 1930s, from patients with pneumonia, a factor was found. It could agglutinate certain pneumococcal species. This factor, which later became known as C-reactive protein (CRP), increased sharply during the early and middle stages of the disease. CRP was identified as an acute phase protein and found especially in bacterial infections. CRP is synthesized in the liver by stimulation of interleukin 6 (IL-6), which is produced by the monocytes, and consists of five non-covalently bound subunits.The aim of this study was to compare two different analytical instruments (Vitros 5.1 FS Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics and QuikRead CRP Orion Diagnostica) for CRP analysis.

Towards the end of the 1960s, the credit financed purchase was well established in Sweden. The Swedish households were able to purchase goods, which had been considered unnecessary, or even luxurious, in the past. On the other hand, effective means to handle the increasing amount of debt and potential debtors were introduced; credit rating was registered, trade with insecure claims increased and if debtors could not fulfil their obligations, the creditors often used harsh or undue methods. By introducing Inkassolagen (1974:182), the legislator hoped to regulate the debt recovery process and ensure the fair treatment of debtors. The legislator also introduced liability for damages caused by a creditor in the collection process.

A possible treatment for patients with lymphoma and myeloma is stem cell transplantation (SCT). SCT is preceded with cytostatic treatment. There are several side effects related to this treatment, for example fatigue, nausea, constipation/diarrhoea, pain, mucositis and loss of appetite. Aim: Investigate which side effects related to the treatment where most troubling after SCT and if nurse assessment and patient assessment differ. Methods: A quantitative empirical study with repeated measuring.

Försvarsmakten har sedan länge haft uppgiften att delta i internationella insatser, och som på senare år intensifierats. I början på 2000-talet startade en transformation mot en ny försvarsmakt med ökat internationellt fokus. I denna förändring har arbete skett i olika steg för att förändra myndighetens organisationskultur. Ett av syftena med denna kulturförändring var att öka officerares benägenhet att söka sig till befattningar i utlandsstyrkan. När ett sådant förändringsarbete sker kan diskurser uppstå kring vissa frågor, inom en given kontext med ett specifikt syfte, och ett givet språkbruk.

Bakgrund: Långvarig smärta i nacke, skuldra eller ländrygg är komplexa tillstånd som kan leda till fysiska och psykiska påfrestningar samt försvåra det dagliga livet för drabbade individer. Den vanligaste metoden för att minska smärta är att använda farmakologiska preparat men det finns en risk att dessa kan ha negativa biverkningar. Akupunktur är en komplementär behandlingsmetod med ursprung från kinesisk medicin som även blivit godkänd inom svensk sjukvård och kan användas som komplement till farmakologiska medel. Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva effekten av akupunktur hos individer med långvarig smärta i nacke, skuldra eller ländrygg. Metod: En litteraturöversikt med kvantitativ ansats har använts som metod för att besvara syftet.

Mankind faces a serious threat. Its activities, for example the burning of fossil fuels, have led to an enhancement of the greenhouse effect - something that has given rise to a global warming. The climate is becoming warmer, a change that has important effects on the nature as well as for humans and their society. Sea level rising, extreme temperatures are becoming more common, glaciers and other ice caps melt and storms becomes more intense when they appear. The main cause is the emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere - carbon dioxide in particular.

BAKGRUND: Varje dag möter sjuksköterskor vuxna patienter med stickrädsla eller nålfobi. Detta är ett problem som behöver belysas mer. Rädslan för nålar kan medföra ett flertal konsekvenser för individen. Bland annat kan personen komma att undvika sjukvården vilket kan innebära hälsorisker. SYFTE: Syftet är att belysa upplevelsen hos vuxna patienter med stickrädsla eller nålfobi samt hur sjuksköterskan kan bemöta och stödja dessa patienter.

This form of credit is formally independent from other obligations with a very short credit period and the amount of the loan is low. This form of credits is applied by mobile phones and on the internet by several companies, some of them are presented in this essay. These type of creditors do not come under any sanctions from the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority as is customary for other creditors, they only need to register.

ABSTRACTBackground: Endometriosis is a chronic disease where the tissue, that the uterus contains,also can be found outside the uterus.The objective of the study was to investigate young women?s experience of endometriosisand how they experience the care.Method: Fourteen young adults were asked to participate and eight of them did participate.They were all in the range of age 14-20 and they all had had contact with a unit forendometriosis in Sweden. Semai-structured interview was chosen as the data collectionmethod. An interview guide was used during the interviews. For the analysis aphenomenological method with focus upon experiences was used.Results: The result showed that the young adults? experiences in the daily living containedpain, alienation, tiredness and side effects.

SAMMANFATTNINGBuksmärtor är en av de vanligaste orsakerna till att människor söker sjukvård. Historiskt sett har smärtlindring till patienter med buksmärta varit restriktiv. Otillräcklig smärtlindring kan bero på rädsla för att smärtlindrande läkemedel ska dölja viktiga kliniska tecken som kan leda till diagnostiska svårigheter.Syfte: Att undersöka i vilken omfattning ambulanssjuksköterskan smärtlindrar patienter med buksmärta, i vilken utsträckning patienter smärtskattas samt om det föreligger någon skillnad mellan män och kvinnor när det gäller administrering av smärtlindrande läkemedel och omfattning av smärtskattning prehospitalt.Metod: En retrospektiv jämförande deskriptiv journalgranskning med kvantitativ ansats. Ett konsekutivt urval gjordes och sammanlagt granskades 200 journaler, varav 100 omfattade kvinnor och 100 omfattade män.Resultat: 21 % (n=42) av patienterna smärtlindrades. Det fanns ingen statistisk signifikans som visade att kvinnor och män smärtlindrades i olika omfattning.

The aim of the present literature study was to describe the significant factors contributing to the development of moral distress and the consequences of moral distress can lead to in the nurse profession. A literature search was performed in the databases Medline through PubMed and Academic Search Elite on the basis of in advanced defined criterions. A total of 19 articles was reviewed and included in the study. The main result revealed that nurses experience moral distress and that it is frequent within the nurse profession. The findings revealed that there seem to be several significant factors in the development of moral distress, such as providing life-sustaining care, competing loyalties, conflicts with the physician, communication barriers, emotional barriers, cultural barriers, regulation and rules and working environment that gives the nurse difficult or unsolved ethical dilemmas.

Considering the result regarding regional identities, this thesis will continue on to clarify if these identities are to be seemed as a threat or resource during fusions, and if so, how can one best manage these different identities.Method: Only secondary data has been used in this study. I've botanized amongst the literature that processes fusions, impact of culture, identities, regions, territory. Continuing on, the collected empirical resources have been compared to my theory, from which an analysis was able to be spawned and conclusions were drawn.Result & Conclusions: The thesis confirms different regional identities, although it does not treat the subject regarding the inner strength of regions comparing to one another.
