For an Outdoor environment to function optimally as a playarea requires that it is flexible, that is, contains places and elements that give room for the imagination and for own interpetretations, and also that the children in some way can influence and change their surroundings. It is also important to have variety, both in the sense that the playground has a unique character that distinguishes it from other places, and that it allows many different games and activities. There should for example be room for both wild games of running and moving around where many children can participate, and calm corners to withdraw to for rest or quiet play. A good playground should surprise, challenge and encourage children to discover their surroundings. One way to achive this is to use plants and materials from nature, whose irregular forms and structures can become interesting elements to explore. Vegetation also gives sence-experiences of various kinds, materials like twigs and leafs to play with and a place to play house.

A problem in the field of district heating is the oil burners needed to provide power when a peak load occurs. One possible way of reducing the needed amount of oil is to reduce the power demand for space heating in the district-heating substations when the need for district heating water exceeds a certain limit. This can be done by use of a locally working controller function.In this Thesis the options concerning load priority are evaluated. To evaluate the potential for using controller functions concerning peak load priority an experiment was brought out in a chosen district-heating substation. The impact on the indoor thermal comfort during a heat reduction was also taken into account.

Jag har i detta examensarbete fördjupat mig i hur slöjdundervisning kan ske utomhus. Vilka fördelar och nackdelar som finns med att bedriva undervisningen utomhus och i vilka former det kan ske. Jag har själv ett stort intresse av att vistas utomhus i naturen och att använda mig av naturens former i mitt slöjdande. Detta intresse har gjort att jag velat undersöka huruvida det är möjligt att utveckla skolslöjden genom att förlägga delar av undervisningen utomhus. För att ta reda på detta har jag genomfört fyra lektioner utomhus på den skola där jag arbetar som slöjdlärare.

BAKGRUND:Utomhuspedagogik är ett mycket viktigt komplement till barn/elevers lärande i både förskola och skola. Envariationsrik naturmiljö erbjuder barn en miljö som främjar barns hela utveckling och hälsa på ett sätt som ingenannan miljö förmår. Vi tar upp aktuell forskning kring utomhuspedagogik. Vår studie grundar sig påuppfattningar om hur människan förstår sin omvärld. Därför har vi inspirerats av fenomenografin som teoretiskutgångspunkt och ett utvecklingspedagogiskt perspektiv när det gäller barn och elevers lärande.SYFTE:Syftet med vårt examensarbete är att undersöka hur lärare uppfattar utomhuspedagogik inom förskola ochskolans tidigare år (förskola ? årskurs 6).METOD:Undersökningen har utförts med kvalitativ forskningsmetod.

This study includes several purposes which are to describe the concept of working environment, explain who is responsible for its functioning and how the working environment should look like. Other purposes the study have is to investigate how the working environment is in both Swedish and the two investigated companies construction sites and to share some operators proposing measures for the shortcomings and problems that exist in the construction sector working environment. To achieve these purposes was a qualitative study made with unstructured observations, interviews and survey where three construction sites were observed. The result shows that the concept of the working environment cover many aspects and is essentially about the environment we live in and experience in our work and this environment can be both an indoor as an Outdoor environment. In this work, the concept is divided into four areas; it is the physical, the ergonomic, the psychosocial and the chemical.

More and more companies open up facilities and stores in countries all around the world. Entering a new country means a new culture, a new language, different norms and values and new people with a different way of thinking unlike what you are used to. In order to survive and be successful in this new country means that you have to adapt to the new culture and its components you encounter.The purpose of this thesis has been to identify possibilities and barriers in the Middle Eastern culture affecting international clothing companies. Furthermore it has been investigated how these companies must adapt their products and promotion to this culture.In order to obtain relevant data for achieving the purpose of the study interviews and observations was made at three international clothing companies in Tehran, Iran. These were Mango, United Colors of Benetton and adidas.

This master thesis covers the design of a special garden room, The Hardscape Room, in The Rehabilitation Gardens at Alnarp, in southern Sweden, as well as describes the design process. The Rehabilitation Gardens are intended to serve several purposes. It will offer horticultural therapeutic treatment programs for people diagnosed as having had burnout disease for an extended period. Research is also aimed at studying the possible impact of different garden design hypotheses as well as different forms of horticultural therapy. In The Rehabilitation Gardens at Alnarp the most extreme and demanding garden room focused on cultivation and horticultural therapy is The Hardscape Room.

Strömstad is a small city located on the Swedish west coast. Urbanization and development is acurrent issue for the municipally, as for many other in the current situation. The municipal housingcompany Strömstadsbyggen is one of the parties involved in the extensive development that mustbe implemented to meet the changes and developments which the issue holds.One area that is of interest in the discussion is Rådhusberget - this due to the existing infrastructureand unique qualities that the area holds. In order to achieve the best solutions possible for the area,Strömstadsbyggen wishes to listen to what the existing tenants at Rådhusberget thinks and feelsregarding the area and its future potential.This thesis has therefore been carried out in collaboration with Strömstadsbyggen and has beenaimed at identifying the current tenants' thoughts and opinions in the existing area of developmentand infill potential. The aim of this work was also to investigate how the tenants value their homeand local environment in its current state, and what their wishes are for the possible futuredevelopment of Rådhusberget.To achieve analyzable results concerning how the tenants perceive these aspects, an extensivesurvey have been carried out which were sent out to all tenants in the area.

De finmotoriska förmågorna är oerhört viktiga vad det gäller den mänskliga läs- och skrivförmågan, då handen behöver vara tränad för att göra små rörelser och ögonen ska kunna följa dessa rörelser. Barn som har svårigheter med de finmotoriska förmågorna blir beroende av andra, då de kan få svårt att klara av vardagliga bestyr så som att klä på sig själva och använda bestick. Något som försvårar arbetet med de finmotoriska förmågorna utomhus är att barn använder vantar stora delar av året och att tillgång till materiel som utmanar handrörelser plockas fram mer sällan under vinterhalvåret på grund av kylan. Detta gör att barn inom I ur och skur-förskolor som oftast är ute får mindre träning av de finmotoriska förmågorna under kalla årstider. Vi har jämfört I ur och skur-förskolor med förskolor utan den inriktningen, vad det gäller arbetet med de finmotoriska förmågorna.

AimThe aim of this study has been survey the possibilities for short-term stays in the Stockholm Archipelago for people without their own means of transport, own equipment and/or experience of Outdoor life.To fulfil this aim, the following questions were formulated:? What communications are available to chalet parks in the Stockholm Archipelago?? What overnight accommodation is available in the chalet parks in the Stockholm Archipelago?? What activities can be pursued in the Stockholm Archipelago?? What is the financial cost of travelling to and staying in the Stockholm Archipelago for a week?MethodWe chose to use six interviews and three observations in order to gain as much insight as possible. Interviews were conducted with Claes Petterson at Waxholmsbolaget, a company that provides transport services in the Archipelago, and with managers for five chalet parks: Rolf Andersson for Finnhamn, Per Englund for Grinda, Arne Johansson for Rånö, Pär Hjärtström and Peter Hösöyen for Gålö and Anders Bedinger for Gålö and Nåttarö. The interviews were recorded in writing and on tape. Observations were carried out at three chalet parks, i.e.

Den senaste kursplanen i idrott och hälsa betonar att friluftsliv ska vara en del av undervisningen. I samband med en flygande inspektion av skolinspektionen 2010 uppdagades det att olika bollsporter var det som förekom mest i idrottsundervisningen. Med detta i åtanke var undersökningens syfte att beskriva innehåll och omfattning i friluftsundervisningen i skolan, och om det fanns några skillnader beroende på om skolan ligger i en stats- eller naturmiljö. Undersökningens syfte var också att ta reda på elevernas uppfattning om vad friluftsliv är och deras inställning till friluftsliv. Undersökningen har en kvantitativ komparativ ansats och resultatet baseras på 76 enkäter.

Today there are over 100 000 stray cats in Sweden and of these 10 000 are found in Gothenburg. There are several instances that try to reduce the number of stray cats. The problem for stray cats is primarily the suffering they may face in hunger, cold, predators, diseases, parasites, accidents, etc. The cats receive no veterinary care and may die from a simple infection that easily can be cured with antibiotics. Stray cats also can spread diseases to domestic cats, be a sanitary problem and compete with other small predators on prey. Authorities working with stray cats are the Country Administrative Board and the police authority.

Denna rapport omfattar skapandet av en träningsmiljö tänkt att placeras utomhus i Karlstad och är anpassad för rullstolsburna individer. Arbetet har utförts på uppdrag av Karlstad kommun och motsvarar som ett examensarbete för högskoleingenjörsexamen inom Innovationsteknik och Design, vid fakulteten för Hälsa, Natur och Teknikvetenskap. Arbetet har utförts vid Karlstad Universitet under våren 2014.Karlstad kommun har sett ett behov av träningsutrustning i utomhusmiljö tillgängligt för rullstolsburna. På många träningsplatser i dagsläget stängs rullstolsburna ute från träning då det finns få möjligheter att justera den utrustning som erbjuds. Ur ett användarperspektiv anses träningsmöjligheterna vara otillräckliga vilket har legat till grund för detta arbete.Utfrån uppdragsgivarens synpunkt och krav samt genom informationsinsamling, intervjuer och obervationer formulerades en produktspecifikation.

Älvkarleby, landscape character and design proposal is a Graduated Thesis (30 ECCcredtis), in the subject of landscape planning at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, the Department of Rural and Urban Development. This thesis is a study and implement of the method "Landscape Character Assessment" (LCA), developed in England and Scotland as tool to analyse and highlight the landscape in different planning processes. The purpose of LCA is to increase the understanding and strengthen the role of the landscape. The thesis consists of three main parts: landscape characterization, guidelines and a design proposal. The landscape characterization emphasizes the values of the landscape in different types of planning processes, a documentation to base estimations on in any kind of change in the area. Theese estimations have resulted in guidelines that give proposals to the development of the landcape, focusing at the desingproposal.
