Förmågan att leda en klass - något som kommer med tiden
During my practical training I have seen what after-school offers children. Large groups of children and little staff, often results in that the children had to play freely until they go home. Few activities are offered to the children and the staff is busy looking after the children and ensures that they are not fighting.The purpose of this study is to find out how children feel about their leisure activities and if they think they are being offered a meaningful leisure. The main research questions were:How do children experience their leisure-time?Do after-school offers children a meaningful leisure and is it the children's interests and needs that govern the activities and the environment?How do the number of children in the leisure group affect the leisure time?The methods to collect data in the study are observations and interviews.
Utomhusmatematik: Lärares, blivande lärares och elevers attityder till att lära in matematik ute : Finns vetenskapligt stöd för att utöva utomhusmatematik?
Mot bakgrunden att matematikresultaten sjunker i svensk skola är det viktigt att lärare använder metoder som bygger på evidensbaserad forskning. Denna systematiska litteraturstudie syftar till att bilda en djupare förståelse för utomhusmatematik genom att undersöka lärares och elevers attityder till metoden, samt om utomhusmatematik finner vetenskapligt stöd och kan rekommenderas som undervisningsmetod.Studiens resultat visar att både elever och lärare överlag ser positivt på utomhusmatematik då metoden bidrar till ett autentiskt lärande. Många lärares uppfattningar är att utomhusmatematik gynnar de yngre eleverna och att geometri och statistik är de delar av matematiken som är lämpligast att ta med utomhus. Utomhusmatematik motsäger kursmålen i alla länder där forskning på temat genomförts och metoden har svagt vetenskapligt stöd, då för få evidensbaserade studier på området utförts..

The essay is written at the request of Nyköping municipality park management by PatRadestedt who wanted a design proposal for one of the five courtyards at the Tessin Schoolin Nyköping. The Tessin School is located 2 miles from the center of Nyköping and the schoolhouses approximately 900 students. To make a design proposal for the courtyard that lies atthe canteen I decided from the outset that I wanted to take some of the Tessin SchoolStudents' opinions and wishes regarding their own outdoor spaces. I had a workshop witheight students from the arts program with the image orientation in which they had to drawand tell them what they wanted to do in the courtyard. The outcome of the workshop, Iused to move forward in my future work with a concept that fit into the environment, wethen apply it in my final design proposal.
Shelter use of horses during Swedish summer in relation to weather conditions and insect abundance
Outdoor housing of horses? best fulfils the horses? need for physical activity and it is an alternative to the more cost and energy demanding indoor housing in stables. Furthermore, if outdoor housed horses have access to shelter they can generally cope well with adverse
weather conditions such as high or low ambient temperature, heavy rain or strong winds.
In this study, the daytime shelter-seeking behaviour of three groups of horses housed outdoors was studied during the summer. The aim was to evaluate whether shelter use is related to weather variables (e.g., ambient temperature and wind speed) and insect harassment.
The shelter-seeking behaviour was studied for three different groups of horses: Group 1) eight individually housed horses in paddocks that had access to three different shelter types (C: closed on three sides with roof, R: open on three sides with roof, W: closed on three sides without roof), Group 2) 25 group housed mares with foals on pasture with access to shelters
C, and Group 3) ten mares without foals on pasture without access to shelter. Each group was studied for eight days.
Ska vi leka med musik? : Om förutsättningar för barns eget kreativa musikutforskande inom ramen för förskolans verksamhet och tillsammans med vuxna
Uppsatsen strävar efter att utveckla kunskap om sambandet mellan förskollärares didaktiska ingripanden och förskolebarns möjligheter till att kreativt utforska och uttrycka musik. Undersökningen utgår från ett kulturpsykologiskt perspektiv som betonar interaktionen och det individuella kreativa prövandets betydelse för det musikaliska lärandet. Förskolebarns musikaliska utveckling påverkas av förskollärares musikaliska kompetens och didaktiska förmåga att uppfatta och stödja barns egna musikaliska uttryck. För att kunna observera barn och pedagogers förhållningssätt till spontant kreativt musikskapande, erbjöd jag tre pedagoger och deras barngrupper en överraskning, en resväska fylld med ordinära och hemgjorda rytminstrument som jag kallat den hemliga lådan. Metoden gav mig också möjligheter att utforska musikdidaktiska alternativ till förskolans traditionella musikverksamhet, de gemensamma och vuxenstyrda sångsamlingarna.
Beräkning av energianvändning i svenska småhus
An energy calculation model for Swedish houses that is fast, flexible and user-friendly has been developed within the framework of this thesis. The model also provides a set of actions which may be investigated in the model based on savings and payback period. Energy use in a house depends on the technical conditions, such as building envelope and heating systems, which outdoor climate the house is exposed to and who lives in the house. Energy use for a house can be divided into heating, hot water and household electricity. There are several methods to calculate the energy use of a house. This report summarizes the methods that may be suitable for a fast and user-friendly calculation model.

2. SUMMARY
A small garden exposed to a harsh coastal climate can be difficult to design. Limitations in space and in plant varieties increase the needs of an in-depth knowledge to achieve wanted goals.
In this degree project the challenge has been to create a functional and position adapted garden for a very small beach house lot in Mölle, a little harbour village at the south coast of Kullaberg. ?Villa Malm?, is situated directly on the bedrock in a close settlement where the gardens, in most cases are very small and exposed to strong salty winds.

Young children get affected and influenced by people?s thoughts and preconceived ideas about the difference between boys and girls. How they should behave and how they are supposed to play and interact with different toys.In the goals for what the school and teachers will achieve it says in the curriculum for preschool that teachers are supposed to counteract the traditional gender roles.To get answers to the question at issue, I collected 48 individual plans of development and I have performed four observations. I put all facts together and compared the results.The main result in this study shows that the traditional gender roles are being reflected in the children?s plans of development.
Ett objekt : om arkitekturen i ett föremål för handling
This thesis is covering my design of an architectural object for the use in a pedagogical setting. The purpose is to create contextual premises for students, making possible the testing of designs, involving plants suitable for the urban environment. Hence, the main features in the object design is suggestive to the urban outdoor rooms - rooms that are formed amongst the city facades.
The thesis is also about the design process set out from a technical reality, based on camera imagery. To a large extent, the thesis consists of reflections concerning the object's function towards pedagogy, perception and materials. Furthermore, the object claims to be a hybrid between architecture and landscape architecture.
Matematiska arbetsmetoder : En kvalitativ undersökning om undervisningsmetoder i förhållande till nationella matematikprov
The purpose of this study is to provide a description of how mathematics teachers in grades 3 choose to work with mathematics and how it affects of student performance in national tests. The categories I will use are outdoor education, textbooks, learning materials and problem solving. Laboratory materials can be everyday materials and educational materials in which pupils have an abstract understanding of the subject. This survey was conducted through interviews and observations. The survey was also conducted in relation to student performance in national math tests.

Barn och ungdomar kan lära sig matematik på många olika sätt. Att lära in matematik utomhus är för många främmande, men kan fungera utmärkt som ett komplement till den traditionella klassrumsundervisningen i grundskolans tidigare år. Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka utomhusmatematikens för- och nackdelar. Mina slutsatser i detta arbete är i huvudsak byggda på resultat från sex strukturerade intervjuer med pedagoger vid en skola i västra Sverige, samt forskningslitteratur. Samtliga intervjuade pedagoger har erfarenhet av att arbeta utomhus med matematik.

This essay, with the title: Among children, laser swords and lions. ? How do we approach and utilize the cultural experiences of children? is an approach to participate in a scientific discussion in the field of cultural experiences. This text is an attempt to show the importance of paying attention to, how children express themselves, and place their activities in social and cultural contexts. By doing so and approaching children and their activities with an intercultural point of view, I can use my new found knowledge and use it to stimulate their future learning progresses in different fields.

Shopping is one of the most important social activities today and the majority of all shopping takes place in Shopping Centres. The number of Shopping Centres has increased and it is important to attract visitors by using the right marketing strategy. Christmas is an extra important period because the turnover normally increases three times in December compared to a ?normal? month. The purpose of this study is to analyze the marketing of Shopping Centres during the Christmas period, and analyze how this marketing contributes to the visitors? choice of Shopping Centre. This is a positivistic study that combines a quantitative and a qualitative method.This study concludes that range of stores and distance are the most important factors when a visitor decides which Shopping Centre to visit. During Christmas it is important to create a Christmas feeling, preferably made by offering decorations and music.
Ekologiskt uppfödda kycklingar : en jämförelse mellan två olika foder
Organic rearing of broilers is not a large production in Sweden. In order to create a sustainable yet efficient production of organically produced poultry meat, at a price that the consumers are willing to pay, much more knowledge is needed. It is therefore important to do more research on organic broilers under Swedish conditions. This report is aimed to be a base for further studies.
In the study 2000 broilers of the hybrid Ross 308 divided in to two equal groups. The broiler hybrids that are used in Sweden are selected for a high growth rate and are normally slaughtered at the age of 5 to 6 weeks, with a slaughter weight of 1.7-2 kg.
