Stage Design is design for action and contains décor, side-scenes and properties, as well as costume and grease-paint. I have chosen to write this essay on language development in a preparatory class due to the fact that I live in a city where diversity is big and newly arrived students from different countries are constantly increasing in schools. My study has been made in a preparatory class in Södertälje. The National Agency for Education highlights the deficiencies in preparatory classes and believes that education is not adapted to each student's knowledge and maturity and it is therefore difficult for students to reach the goals in school. According to studies by the National Agency for Education, it appears that many newly arrived students do not recieve study guide in their native language, a resource that they are entitled to. Teachers and principals do not take charge of  students knowledge from previous school attendance in their home countries such as mathematics, history and other subjects.

Barnen är den grupp i samhället som använder datorer allt mer och mer. Idag finns det pedagogiska lärospel som ska hjälpa barnen med att lära sig skriva, läsa och räkna i skolan. Vi har intresserat oss för dessa typer av spel och vi har i denna uppsats undersökt hur ett sådant spel kan hjälpa barn och vad det är i spelet som representerar ett lärande. Vi har använt oss utav ett spel vid namn Läslandet från Läramera AB och gjort observationer med hjälp av en metod som varit av både kvantitativt och kvalitativt slag. Den kvantitativa ansatsen bestod i att vi använde oss av strukturerade observationer och det kvalitativa låg i att vi använde oss utav Think Aloud protocol.

Syftet med detta arbete var att undersöka hur olika pedagoger uppfattar och beskriver möjligheter i sitt arbete med att underlätta och hjälpa elever i deras matematiska utveckling. Mitt underlag baseras på åtta kvalitativa forskningsintervjuer med utvalda pedagoger från förskoleklass till och med skolår 9. I litteraturdelen belyses kommunikationens betydelse för den tidiga matematikundervisningen och tidigare forskning och undersökningar kring mate matiksvårigheter presenteras. Betydelsefulla aspekter i det pedagogiska arbetet med att möta alla elevers olika behov samt exempel på utformningen av det specialpedagogiska arbetet och stödet utifrån olika perspektiv exemplifieras också. Samtliga pedagogerna i denna studie framhåller elevernas språkliga kompetens som betydelsefull.

I have taught pupils in several schools in eighth and ninth grade in ?weak? groups in mathematics. Most of them seemed to possess potential, but lacked motivation. Even though I tried several pedagogical methods, these approaches failed to engage the students. This prompted thoughts that this may reflect a broader structural problem about the organisation of education in Sweden.

AbstractThis bachelor thesis has been assigned by the company ACG Nyström, Borås. ACG Nyström is working in cooperation with a Swiss company named Jentschmann AG. Jentschmann is a manufacturer of ultra sonic welding machines which ACG Nyström is marketing in Scandinavia and the Baltic States. On behalf of Jentschmann AG the company has the aim to introduce the ultra sonic welding technique to new companies.The aim of this thesis is to compare traditional sewing machines with ultra sonic welding machines within two textile areas, protective clothing and outdoor living.Two investigative questions have been formulated for this purpose: what are the differences between a sewing machine and an ultra sonic welding machine? Is it possible to replace the sewing technology with ultra sonic welding? These stand as guidance for this paper.To gather knowledge interviews, literature studies, and tests on two different ultra sonic welding machines were performed.

The review of Integrated green spaces in urban areas ? Open space strategies, collaboration between stakeholders, public participation, learn from earlier failings and a ?value-led? approach facilitate the managing of open space. Brisbane is located in the fastest growing metropolitan region in Australia. The city´s open space landscapes offer cultural, geographical, recreational, social and scenic amenity assets, which make a major contribution to the regions identity they a wide world known for.

The concept of function represents a major part of mathematics and becomes more significant in school during high school. Throughout history, it has been a difficult concept to define and may create challenges for contemporary students. This literature study aims to identify students' difficulties with the concept of function, as well as to account for how the definition of a function has evolved historically. The literature study has been conducted through database searches in ERIC, Education Research Complete and MathSciNet via EBSCOhost, as well as through chain searching. The study results in identifying that students' difficulties with the concept of function primarily include the graphical and algebraic forms of representation.

Användbarhet är ett viktigt verktyg i arbetet med att förbättra interaktionen mellan användare och datorprogram. Ett led i användbarhetsarbetet är att utvärdera prototyper eller färdiga program för att hitta problem i denna interaktion. Det finns en mängd metoder för att göra sådana utvärderingar, varav vi genom användning har granskat ?expertutvärdering med tumregler?. Denna form av utvärdering har vi kompletterat med en användarundersökning, för att få ett bredare resultat i form av förändringsförslag.

The purpose of this study is to illustrate how some teachers in multicultural school environments reflecton and experience the educational work with national tests in the third grade for students who do not have Swedish as their native language. The research questions I have chosen to work with are:How do teachers experience working with national tests in groups of students where there are children with Swedish as a second language?How do the teachers reflect on the students linguistic preconditions relating to the national tests in these groups of students?What strategies in their teaching on national tests do the teachers use when it comes to students with Swedish as a second language?In this study I have chosen to use a qualitative interview method. Since the purpose of the study is to understand how teachers reflect on students with Swedish as a second language the obvious choice was to interview teachers who work in a multicultural school. In my thesis I have chosen to use sociocultural theory, Cummins four quadrant model and context for theoretical approach.

Vid arbete med systemutveckling är det vanligt att arbeta efter en metod. Det som styr valet av metod kan vara erfarenhet, krav som finns från organisationsledningen eller politiska krav för att följa en given standard. Det är inte alltid lätt att välja en metod som är lämplig och som uppfyller de krav och behov som finns inom organisationen. För att välja en lämplig metod är användning av ett ramverk ett bra hjälpmedel. Ramverket används bland annat för att försäkra och kontrollera att den metod som utvärderas uppfyller de krav som ställs på systemet och att de olika komponenter som ingår i systemet behandlas med hjälp av metoden.

The objective of this essay is, from the golf perspective including the golf courses' physical attributes, golf club management, members of the golf club and golf course designers, to explore possibilities for making existing golf courses more multifunctional. The purpose of this is to increase the understanding for golf courses' role as part of the landscape and comprehension regarding possible opportunities around them to exploit and develop.The increased pressure of population in peri-urban areas has resulted in a greater need for accessible recreation, particularly in the isolated farmland. As a result, land is sometimes used against landowners' will, which is a deficiency that is the basis for many conflicts between farmers and landowners.In the current situation, there is a negative trend in golf with reduced interest and fewer golfers than in the past. As a result, many of Sweden's golf courses have financial problems and are therefore trying to find new ways to avoid bankruptcy. Sweden's existing golf courses occupy about 30 000 hectares of land, of which a very large percentage are located in peri-urban areas.

Historically Sweden had a confessional teaching of religion in school, that is the starting point ofthis essay. In the Swedish school system the students have the right to believe whatever they wantbut they will be introduced to different beliefs in the subject religion. Even the church focuses onthe individuals own beliefs during confirmation. This essay explores if there is something in aconfessional teaching that contributes to the students' knowledge in religion as a school subject.Therefore a quantitative study have been performed. The study aimed to investigate the grades ofthe students that participated in confirmation and how the grades changed after the confirmation.
