Thesis Purpose: The purpose of our thesis is to explore different plausible scenarios concerning the future of the Swedish produce industry with regards to branding. Methodology: In order for us to answer the research question and fulfill its purpose, we have utilized a qualitative approach combined with of both an inductive and deductive theoretical approach. Our study is both explorative and speculative. Theoretical Perspective: The theoretical framework of our research is based upon Porters Five Forces and Competitive Advantage combined with Kapferers Brand Identity Prism and his ideas on Brand Innovation. Additionally, we have utilized the Game Theory.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur den rumsliga utformningen av utomhusmiljön i förskolan främjar inkludering av barn i åldrarna ett till sex år där möjlighet till olika typer av lek och pedagogisk verksamhet understöds. Studien är förlagd till Mullvadens förskolegård på Södermalm i Stockholm. Det är en kvalitativ studie där observations-, intervju-, enkät- och litteraturstudier har genomförts. I resultatdelen har tre tematiska områden lyfts fram; åldersanpassning, rumslighet och pedagogisk verksamhet. Genom designprocessen har sedan dessa tematiska områden brutits ner till temat för gestaltningsförslaget; variation och kontrast.

This degree project has been performed along with Classic Garden in Gothenburg andBallongfirman Far & Flyg in Stockholm. Together we have developed a sun- wind- andrain protection. The protection is permanently assembled and mainly intended for publicenvironments as restaurants and outdoor cafés.The design on the sun protection was already done so our task has been to develop theconstruction and to build a prototype in scale 1:4 and one in scale 1:1. The look of thesun protection is approximately as the name implies, equal an igloo. The lamellae aregoing to fold out in different steps all the way down to the ground and the both sides willbe independently of each other.The first stage in the project was to develop differently principle proposal on how thefunction will work when folding in and out the protection.

The main purpose of this study was to determine the impact of bedding material on the faecal microflora of horses. Another objective was to investigate the hygienic and physical qualities of the bedding materials used and how these may change in the course of the trial period. The bedding materials used were sphagnum peat and wood shavings. Six horses had each material as bedding for a three week period in a change?over experiment.

Den här uppsatsen har utforskat och skapat ett visuellt designspråk för datorförstärkta landskap i Astrid Lindgrens bygd. Uppsatsen ingår i ett pågående forskningsprojekt som heter Datorförstärkta landskap i Astrid Lindgrens bygd, som pågått sedan år 2010. Det är ett forskningsprojekt som National Center for Outdoor Education (NCU) i Vimmerby har tillsammans med Linköpings universitet. Den här uppsatsens roll i forskningsprojekt är att ta fram ett visuellt designspråk för datorförstärkta landskap i Astrid Lindgrens bygd. För att kunna göra detta behövde designern i den här uppsatsen ta reda på vilka kriterier denna applikation ska ha, vilken som är den tänkta målgrupp och slutligen även möta uppdragsgivarens krav.

Purpose of this thesis is to study the impact of wind turbines on their surroundings. It also aims to analyze how the communication looks between the authorities, the planner and local residents prior to the establishment of wind turbines in Lännäs/Odensbacken in Örebro, where three wind turbines set up in a group.The results of this survey show that the participants experience themselves not as especially disturbed of the turbines in the form of large noise, shadows, and sleep disturbance indoors and outdoors. Participants felt that no change had taken place on the natural environment (52%) since the turbines became operational. It was 49% of participants had got no information about the establishment of Örebro Municipality, Örebro County Administrative Board or Wind Power Company. Scientists/­experts had the highest confidence of 86%, politicians and the media/journalists had least confidence.

In the western world, strokes are the third most common cause of death, hitting mainly the elderly population. Smoking, high blood pressure, diabetes and overweight are known risk factors for causing strokes. Previous studies show that an increased level of particulate matter, PM, is also related to an increased number of strokes. The population in this study consists of patients over 65 years old who live in Malmö. Levels of particulate matter were measured from October 2004 to April 2005 at a central outdoor monitoring site in Malmö.

Detta examensarbete, som skrivits inom området media vid Konstfack ägnas åt tonårskillars sociala lärande i strategispelet League of Legends. Jag har undersökt hur ungdomarna kommunicerar med varandra och vilka olika metoder de använder för att inskaffa kunskap som är nödvändigt för att utvecklas som League of Legendsspelare. Jag har utgått från kvalitativa intervjuer med tre femtonåriga killar och etnografiskt orienterade videodokumentationer som bas för min undersökning. Socialsemiotisk teori med ett multimodalt perspektiv används. Begrepp som jag använder mig av för att förstå och analysera min empiri är lärande och design.Analysen av intervjuer och videodokumentationerna vägleds av mina frågor kring hur ungdomarna lär sig av varandra och vilka resurser de skapar tillsammans.

Syftet med studien var att belysa hur några förskollärare ser på och förhåller sig till begreppet utomhuspedagogik och hur dessa tankar tar sig uttryck i samband med barns lärande i förskolan. En fenomenografisk forskningsansats låg till grund för studien och med hjälp av kvalitativa intervjuer har empirin samlats in. Sammanlagt har åtta förskollärare intervjuats på olika förskolor. I bakgrunden tas olika definitioner av begreppet utomhuspedagogik upp och det redogörs för olika tvärvetenskapliga perspektiv på utomhuspedagogik. I resultatet framkommer förskollärarnas uppfattning om utomhuspedagogik där platsen för lärandet framhålls - lärande utomhus var utomhuspedagogik. Resultatet visade att förskollärarna ser främst till var lärandet sker och inte till hur, när och varför lärande sker utomhus i deras syn på begreppet.

This report is written on commission by WSP Acoustics. The report studies the outdoor sound levels on school yards in Stockholm. The questions given by the company to be answered was what are the actual sound levels at diffrent school yards with low traffic noise and how can you construct a facade element that reduces the sound level from the outside and meet the indoor requirements. Mesurements for four hours was done at eight schools set north and south of the city centre. The measurement period included one school break and one lunch break.

Bakgrund: Utomhuspedagogik syftar till lärande i samverkan mellan upplevelse ochreflektion utifrån konkreta erfarenheter i verkliga situationer. Det är ett handlingsriktatlärande utomhus där teori och praktik kopplas samman i ett erfarenhetsbaserat lärande,vilket leder till djupare kunskaper. Utomhuspedagogik är ett komplement till traditionellundervisning där eleverna lär med hela kroppen och fler sinnen. Pedagoger medutbildning i utomhuspedagogik ser skillnader mellan traditionellt lärande ochutomhuspedagogik. Ämnen som oftast undervisas utomhus är språk och matematik.Närheten till bra utemiljö är nödvändig för att lämna skolgården.

Geography, derived from the Greek meaning "the study of the Earth," is a discipline with strong traditions and a rich history. Throughout different historical periods and intellectual movements, however, the focus of the subject has shifted between physical geography and human geography, influenced by scientists, philosophers, and various thinkers who have proposed differing perspectives on what the subject should represent (Couper, 2015). Due to the impact of these actors, geography education in today's Swedish school system is of an interdisciplinary nature, blending elements of both physical and human geography, with components such as environmental issues, sustainable development, digital learning, and fieldwork. However, this task is more complex than it may initially appear. The subject is shaped by various traditions, including national curricula, institutional customs, and the geographical perspectives held by individual teachers.

This study was performed to examine whether horses that are kept alone in smallpaddocks are less likely to suffer injuries, compared to horses kept in biggerenclosures with the company of other horses, or not. In not yet published researchmaterial from 2005, risk factors associated with ?accidental injuries? versus ?wearand tear injuries? (represented by trauma injury and fetlock inflammationrespectively), were compared. That material, based on the results of 507 returnedquestionnaires from owners of horses in a Swedish insurance company, includedquestions about paddock/pasture confinement. The results from those questionswere then analyzed in this study in a so called case-control study, in which thegroups with trauma and fetlock inflammation were compared to a healthy controlgroup.The results show that the risk of fetlock inflammation is greater in a smallconfinement, OR for inflammation in a small paddock is 2,2 (95% KI 1,2-3,9)compared to a bigger paddock.

Today´s debate in farming is being focused on tourism, outdoor life and hobbies in the rural areas. This is of interest also for the general public as a way of counteracting the depopulation of the rural areas. Within the last years, the farming has become more technically advanced and hence efficient. This has led to increased production volumes and wider selection of products with lower margins for the farmer as a consequence. When the profitability is reduced, the farmer is faced with the choice of either increasing efficiency or diversification of the business.

The purpose of this thesis has been to signify what creates quality for the dwellers. Bycreating a definition of the term we have showed how well the qualitycriteria?s has been fulfilled in the newly built one family house area Pumpkällehagen in Viskafors.The questions the thesis gives answers to is: What is quality for the dwellers inhousebuilding of today? and How well have these quality aspects been carried out in tracthousing areas? These questions have taken us to our main goal: To describe what qualityfor the dwellers is and how well it has been carried out in a certain area.The literature review is describing what was published before the making of this thesis.From four different publications within the concept of quality an analysis template hasbeen enacted. This template has been used for our case study, but is also supposed towork in future analysis of tract housing areas.Interviews was carried out with the areas architects; Ola Nylander and Mattias Karlsson,as well as the client; Mikael Bengtsson. From these we have gathered their point of viewon the background of the area, as well as their view on the term quality for the dwellers.Our work has brought us to enact nine different quality aspects, which we considercreates quality for the dwellers:? The Non-measurable properties? The rooms relative connections? Sufficient and user-friendly property complements? The property complements connection to the apartment? Location of the apartment and connections to the environment? Opportunities of outdoor activities? Orientation and transportation within the area? The social unity? The cost of the apartment and its form of tenureFrom the case study, using the analysis template, we can state that Pumpkällehagen is avery successfully built area where most of our assessment criteria?s and quality aspectshave been fulfilled.
