Organisatorisk kunskapshantering : En fallstudie hos Polisens verksamhetsstöd

This report deals with the theory and empirical evidence of how knowledge generated within a project is to be captured and shared with other projects and the surrounding organization, after the end of a project. A number of authors have highlighted knowledge management within a company as a key component in building a unique competitive advantage and knowledge should therefore be considered a very important resource within companies. The difficulties of ensuring that knowledge generated within a project can benefit other projects are many. The nature of the project form has been highlighted as one of the biggest problems, due to the fact that budget and time requirements often restrict the propensity to work with knowledge transfer. Other difficulties that this report highlights are in particular the lack of a knowledge sharing culture within the organizations, as well as human cognitive and psychological limitations and lack of tools design for knowledge transfer.

Employer Branding och Generation Y. Vilken betydelse har generationstillhörigheten för organisationers Employer Branding?

Bakgrund/Problem: I samband med generationsskiftet på arbetsmarknaden uppstår frågan hur arbetsgivarna ur ett rent strategiskt perspektiv kan ta ställning till Generation Y (födda under andra halvan av sjuttiotalet fram till ca år 2000) i arbetslivet. Generation Y verkar nämligen ha en förändrad syn jämfört med äldre generationer när det gäller hur man ser på arbetets roll i livet. Företagen måste börja uppmärksamma dessa förändrade värderingar för att genom sitt Employer Brand kunna locka till sig den yngre generationen på bästa sätt.Syfte: I denna uppsats presenterar jag sociologiska teorier och empiriska fakta om generationer, för att försöka se vilken betydelse generationstillhörigheten kan ha för organisationers Employer Branding. På detta sätt vill jag utveckla och föra fram ett tankesätt som grundar sig i en genera-tionssociologisk analys av fenomenet.Material: Mitt material kommer huvudsakligen från forskningsstudier, forskningsartiklar, littera-tur, medier och från teorier av sociologerna Hans Zetterberg, Ronald Inglehart och Karl Mann-heim.Slutsats: Generationstillhörigheten verkar ha en stor betydelse för företagens Employer Branding. Det finns idag en större fokus på fritid och person framför arbete.

Centrum för lättläst : Ur ett domänanalytiskt perspektiv

The aim of this two years master thesis in Library and information science is to study the foundation Centrum för lättläst and its work regarding information use with focus on information structures and information needs. The aim is also to examine how Centrum för lättläst cooperate with Swedish libraries to promote the work concerning people with reading disabilities. This master thesis applies a domain analytic theory and method inspired by Birger Hjørland. The domain analysis is confined to examine ontology, epistemology, sociology, empirical user studies, document and genre studies and studies of structures and institutions in scientific communication. The main source material consists of information from the homepage of Centrum för lättläst.

Identitet, image och profil. En diskursiv studie av Malmö stadsbibliotek

The aim of this master?s thesis is to examine the discourses about Malmö public library that can be identified in several documents published by the library, articles, and various WebPages. Furthermore, our intention is to study the relation between the library?s identity, image and profile. The questions posed in the study are: Which identity discourses are Malmö public library giving expression for? What kind of conflicts between these discourses can we find? How is the identity, image and profile of the library in relation to one another? How does Malmö public library profile and market itself as a non-profit organization? Our theoretical and methodological building ground is in the discourse analytical field, with Enesto Laclau?s and Chantal Mouffe?s theories about discourse and society, as a starting-point.

The aim of this thesis is to better understand branding work in government agencies. What can systematic branding work result in, in a government agency, besides a strong brand in itself? Can it contribute to the democratic mission that government agencies have?Based on background information on government agencies, their mission in terms of communication, their particular characteristics in relation to the private sector; brands and how they are developed; as well as theories in organizational communication, and research on the possibilities and risks of branding work in the public sector, a qualitative case study on the Swedish Patent and Registration Office (PRV) was carried out.The case study consists of a study of PRV?s brand platform, their website as well as an interview with the person responsible for developing the platform. The information gathered during the case study indicates that PRV?s brand work seems to have resulted in a number of positive outcomes.

Chefskap och styrning: en studie om ledarskap på en socialförvaltning

The purpose of this essay was to analyze the management and steering of the social welfare service. The objective was specifically to examine how the leaders approach their position as managers of the social welfare service, and also how they approach their way of steering. The social welfare service acts under political decisions, but the management interpret and transform these decisions into actions. The managers of the social welfare service are therefore important from a democratic perspective. The study was based on five qualitative interviews with two managers of the unity, two departmental managers and the head manager of the social welfare service.

Att agera "spjutspets" : - en analys av en funktion knuten till en kompetensutveckling inom äldreomsorgen

The purpose of my study was to examine a competence-development in care of older people in which some of the personnel have been ?spjutspetsar?. More specifically my aim was to investigate how the personnel managed to supervise others in the organization. My main research questions were: How do the care-managers and the care-workers persecute their functions as ?spjutspetsar?? What form has the internal meeting between the competence-development and the organization ideology taken? What possibilities and obstacles have the care-managers and care-workers been confronted? In my study my research method is based on eight qualitative interviews.

Sveriges Florida : Borgholms kommuns interna varumärkesarbete

In the field of municipal services there are a wide range of aspects a small community must consider, especially considering that the circumstances in which a municipality operate continuously are changing. The changes include, for example, migration, individual lifestyles, the political governance and environment. Especially the latter might have a big impact on a town based on tourism such as Borgholm. We particularly have taken an interest for how this might affect the internal branding and internal brand communication of Borgholm municipality.Through our research we have found that Borgholm municipality in no particular extent is working with living the brand or any similar concepts. Also, we have found that the success of the internal branding of the organization in a great extent depend on the individuals of the different branches of the municipality?s work rather than on a coherent communication structure which reaches the whole organization..

Psykosociala faktorer i arbetet : En kvalitativ studie om hur ledarskapet påverkar medarbetares psykosociala arbetsmiljö

Mot bakgrund av att det finns forskning som visar på samband mellan arbetstillfredsställelse, hälsa och effektivitet, blir det angeläget för organisationer att beakta hur chefer arbetar kring psykosociala faktorer i medarbetares arbetsmiljö, samt vilka konsekvenser olika typer av ledarskap får för medarbetares psykosociala arbetsmiljö. Min avsikt är därför att undersöka hur medarbetare upplever sin psykosociala arbetsmiljö samt hur de uppfattar att deras närmaste chef agerar för att den psykosociala arbetsmiljön ska bli tillfredsställande. För att få en större förståelse betraktas problemet även ur chefernas perspektiv, d.v.s. hur de verkar för att få till stånd en god psykosocial arbetsmiljö för sin personal. Syftet med studien är således att undersöka vilken påverkan ledarskapet har för medarbetares psykosociala arbetsmiljö.Den empiriska undersökningen bygger på kvalitativa halvstrukturerade intervjuer, som genomfördes på ett stort tillverkande skånskt företag, med sju medarbetare samt tre av deras chefer från tre olika avdelningar.I analysen framkom det att medarbetarnas upplevelser av sin psykosociala arbetsmiljö varierade på de tre avdelningarna, bl.a.

Tolfternas samkväm : folkbildning och bibliotek för arbetarkvinnor 1902-1907

Tolfterna was a popular education organization that existed between 1896 and1964 and that arranged social evenings and set up a library for working women. This thesis purpose is to investigate Tolfternas's activities in 1902-1907 and hereby place Tolfterna in the education- and library history. The thesis examines the library catalog and the protocols from the social evenings and analyses them by means of the popular education ideologies of the early 1900's: Patriarchal education, civic education, self-education and the domestic/housewife ideal.The analysis shows that the organizers of Tolfterna as well as the working women who visited the social evenings had political and social interests. This places Tolfterna in a civic education context.The social evenings contained a mix of politically orientated discussions, traditional lectures and entertainment as music and reading. The library had self-education orientation, it contained mostly fiction and was run by the working women.

Storytelling i Umeå : En studie av storytelling hos två turismrelaterade företag

The purpose of this study was to analyze two local tourism related organizations in Umeå and how they used the marketing method Storytelling. The aim of this study was to examine what kind of stories the tourism related organizations were using, what these stories said in a direct, or in-direct way and how the reception was of the stories and the destinations. A qualitative study in the form of a discourse analysis based on Laclau and Mouffe's view on discourse analysis was conducted. The results of this study shows that storytelling is more effective when it is incorporated in the whole destination/organization when it comes to tourism related organizations and destinations. It also shows that storytelling in itself isn't only an innocent and positive tool and can cause negative feelings if used wrongly for an organization/destination.

The purpose of the essay is to describe the necessity of internal communication within the organization and to identify its strengths and weaknesses.It?s of the utmost importance that the internal communication is under constant care. Purpose:The purpose of this paper is to investigate and clarify some of the factors that influence organizations to adopt or reject the social media, and if the emergence of social media influenced the organization's communication.Metohodology:A qualitative methodology has been used to execute the study. The source has been semi structured interviews with chosen representatives from several organizations.Theoretical perspective:The theoretical basis for the execution of the methodology is based on the provisional theoretical demarcation uses and gratifications theory. For analysis diffusion of innovations theory is applied.Emperical findings:The empirical material includes interviews with representatives from twelve selected organizations, defined as companies in the industry and authorities, in seven different industries.Conclusion: The main factors affecting an adoption of social media is the organization?s open structure, the ability to see opportunities with social media and that they are seen as a natural part of development in the communications field. The main factors affecting a rejection of social media is ignorance, the organization's governance and that there must be a need that social media can fill.

Ledarskapets inverkan på elevernas användning av IKT-verktyg på fritidsverksamhet

This essay deals with the influence of leadership on student use of Smart phones as an ICT tool at after school care. I use a qualitative, hermeneutical method that departs from two stories. I also use qualitative interviews with both structured and unstructured questions. My reflections and interpretations are, through the interviews, complemented by my colleagues? views of the use of Smart phones and how that is affected by how the activities are managed.
