This study attempts to examine the existence and development of price differences in the car sector in Europe. The time period is between 1995, the year of the Swedish entrance in the European Union, and 2003. The study is based on data supplied by the European commission, on a bi-annual basis. Both price differences in general in the EU, and price differences between Sweden and other countries in the EU are examined. The theoretical law of one price is related to the economic integration of the EU and the car sector.

Title: The role and status of music theory ? an inquiry into the Arts Programme of the Swedish upper secondary school. The purpose of this inquiry is to find out what teachers of the Arts Programme say about the role and status of music theory within the different music subjects. This study is a qualitative study of two primary schoolteachers and two special teachers approach to children with special needs, and which procedures according to these teachers can be applied to support these children in their progress at school. Building on key concepts such as segregated integration, including integration, diagnostic and children with special needs. This was then analyzed with information collected from the four formal interviews.The study also sheds light on key concepts such as special support, diagnosis, segregated integration and including integration. The conclusion explains the concept of including integration as an approach that works well for both students with special needs in a short period of time yet also students with diagnoses. Uppsatsen syftar till att på ett kvalitativt sätt undersöka hur kommun, skola och fritidsgård arbetar och samarbetar för att öka känslan av gemenskap och integration mellan högstadieungdomar med svensk respektive invandrarbakgrund, främst från forna Jugoslavien. I uppsatsen får lärare, elever, fritidsledare, ungdomssamordnare samt verksamhetsansvariga ge sin bild av hur de upplever att arbetet för integration fortlöper inom det område de är verksamma. För att få kunskap kring ämnet, väljer man att arbeta utifrån en kvalitativ metod som bygger på intervjuer, observation och textanalys. Uppsatsen avhandlar begreppet integration utifrån flyktingars uppfattning, samtidigt lyfter jag fram deras upplevelse av integration i Sverige. Forskningen visar att utlänningar i Sverige har sämre levnadsvillkor jämfört med svenskar, blir diskriminerade och utsorterade på arbetsmarknaden på grund av sin etniska bakgrund. Jag har intervjuat fem flyktingar från två olika länder i Mellanöstern i mellersta Sverige för att skapa förståelse för problemområdet.  Jag har valt att använda olika vetenskapliga synpunkter kring begreppen integration, segregation och diskriminering som utgångspunkt för nämnda problemområde. Eftersom Syftet med min forskning är att få en djupare förståelse av respondenternas förståelse och upplevelse av integration i det svenska samhället, har jag använt mig av en kvalitativ metod med ett hermeneutiskt angreppssätt.

Today, there are no standardized ways to characterize SOA, many are talking about SOA and many say they are using SOA. One way that we have chosen to characterize this phenomenon is through an evaluation that will indicate whether SOA have been used in the development. Basedon a Service Oriented Architecture literature study, we have created an evaluation pattern resulting SOA principles of integration, architecture and services. This evaluation was applied to Logica's own integration system AgrCom through an empirical study to result in a response indicating whether AgrCom is SOA based. The results of the evaluation show that AgrCom is part of an SOA solution but not an SOA as a whole concept.

Denna uppsats handlar om integration och de olika uppfattningarna om vad integration är. Syfte med studien är att dels ta reda på hur man arbetar med integration i en glesbygdskommun. Att försöka förstå vad olika aktörer i integrationsprocessen har för perspektiv och syn på integration. Att sedan jämföra dessa med varandra. Studien utfördes i Ljusdals kommun där Kvalitativa intervjuer utfördes med aktörer inom integrationsarbetet. Dessa aktörer är Arbetsförmedlingen, Vänskap- och integrationsföreningen samt invandrare i kommunen. Att enbart konstatera att det finns olika perspektiv på integration skulle i min mening inte leda till någon vidare intressant diskussion. Med hjälp av Graebers teori kring asymmetrisk perspektivförståelse kunde man finna svar till varför perspektiven på integration skiljer sig och vad det har för konsekvenser på integrationsarbetet. I min studie kunde man se att det inom arbetsförmedlingen fanns byråkratiska strukturer som begränsade integrationsarbetet.

Genom en kvantiativ studie av PPP, IFE och RIP, samt Aktiemarknadskorrelation och Feldstein-Horioka modellen som indikatorer för finansiell integration är det möjligt att studera den finansiella integrationen mellan Polen och EU under tids perioden 1993 - 2003. Utifrån våra indikatorer, aktiemarknadskorrelation och Feldstein -Horioka modellen, kan vi utläsa en integrationsprocess mellan marknaderna över tiden. Vi har funnit klara rön att Polen har blivit mer finansiellt integrerat över tiden sett ur ett direkt och totalt finansiellt perspektiv. Vi finner däremot inga klara tecken på ökad indirekt finansiell integration mellan Polen och EU under den undersökta perioden..

The purpose of my essay is to see how teachers are working to integrate the two subjects Art and Swedish in their teaching, and to see how this integration is made. What do teachers think about subject-integration? What are the positive effects of it? Are there any difficulties involved? Do the teachers prioritize cooperation with other subjects?To answer my questions I have interviewed eight teachers, four of them in upper secondary school and four in lower secondary school. I have also studied literature about subject-integration and children?s learning, curriculum?s and syllabi in the subjects of Art and Swedish.The results of my study show that the interviewed teachers are positive when it comes to integrating Art and Swedish and other subjects.

The title of this essay is Project: The Veil ? an investigation of the trends in the Swedish veil debate compared with the veil debate in France and Great Britain written by Cecilia Lindvall. The purpose of the paper is to analyze how the argument has been conducted by the Swedish politicians from the time when the veil was first recognized in Swedish media up until today. The questions I wanted to answer was each countries definition of the three concepts secularization, freedom of religion and multiculturalism, how Islam as a faith with Muslims has developed in Sweden, France and Great Britain and each countries integration politics with the politicians attitude towards the veil. The method being used is a qualitative study with three kind of theories for analysis; two who derives from a feminist point of view where the first one advocates for the rights of each women, the second for the rights of religious groups and a third theory which discusses different models of integration logics.

The aim of this essay is to examine how two different schools in Södertälje municipality are working to include and integrate newly arrived high school students in the subject Swedish as a second language. I will do a comparative study in which I study the teachers? completely opposite way of working to integrate newly arrived school students in the subject Swedish as a second language. I have used a qualitative method where I have conducted interviews. My main theory is Peder Haug's (1998) theory.

The purpose of this study is to investigate teachers? efforts to teach students with dyslexia in Swedish. The intention with this study is to get the right tools to work with these kinds of students in a more improved and giving way in the future. My questions of issue are:- How can teachers facilitate the learning process for students with dyslexia?- Are pupils with dyslexia included in the teachers? education in the classroom?- How do the other pupils integrate with the dyslexia pupils in the classroom?- How does the teacher manage the situation to teach the whole class at the same time as he/she helps the pupils with dyslexia?- How do you practice when to assess and rate the students with dyslexia?The method used in this paper is a combination of participant observation and interviews with two teachers and their classes.

The integration policy in Sweden has received criticism for being disintegrating due to the structure of division between those that integrate and those who are to be integrated, a division between ?us? and ?them?. In 2010 the reform Act on introduction activities for certain newly arrived immigrants (2010:197), was carried out to facilitate the integration of newly arrived immigrants on the labor market. The purpose of this thesis is to study power and discrimination structures within the reform by applying an intersectional theoretical framework. Intersectionality is based on the notion that different forms of discrimination such as gender, ethnicity, class, sexual orientation etc.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur ett HVB-hem för ensamkommande flyktingbarn i Gävleborgs län arbetar för att främja ensamkommande flyktingbarns integration. Fokus i studien låg på metoder och strategier samt svårigheter som verksamhetens företrädare upplever i sitt arbete. Metoden som användes var kvalitativ intervju och under arbetet hade författarna en hermeneutisk infallsvinkel och materialet analyserades utifrån systemteori. Resultatet visar metoder och strategier som berör trygghetsskapande, samhällsorientering och nätverksskapande. Svårigheterna berör till stor del balansen som de ensamkommande flyktingbarnen måste hitta mellan de erfarenheter de bär med sig och den situation de befinner sig i idag.

The aim of this M.A.-thesis in social work is to problematize the assimilatoric concept of integration and its discourses in a postcolonial perspective in relation to social work in Denmark.As a support theory I use symbolic interactionism. By using these theories I show how the concept of integration and its discourses, when its aim is assimilatoric, can be understood and problematized with concepts as binary oppositions and hegemony.It is shown that the construction of the discoursive other is a useful term as an instrument of interpretation of power in general. The relevance to social work in relation to the social workers double powered positions, professional and cultural power to define 'the other', in social work with ethnic minorities is shown in relation to the post colonial perspective with support of symbolic interactionism. The white western world hegemony and the social workers power positions in relation to the clients fits to the theoretic frame chosen in the thesis.A second aim in this thesis is to point to new ways for social work and to the necessity to reflect over a globalized world characterized by international migration, ethnic relations and diversity..
