The purpose of this study is to investigate how public libraries in Norrbotten provide multilingual media and how the commitment is legitimized. In January 2014 there was a change to the guidelines for the International Library?s service for providing multilingual media. The responsibility for the provision of this service was also changed. The result shows there has been different ways of implementing the guidelines in practice; this has led to inequalities in the local library service.We have assembled data through qualitative interviews with five different public libraries in the north of Sweden.

The aim of present study is to evaluate the work of the employees within the Addict Care field, how they experience their struggle as well as the significance of the interaction between the client and the employees. It takes a great deal of effort when facing individuals with alcohol ?and drug related problems. The focus should be on the occupational and individual qualifications, while there is legislation, regulations and ethical guidelines to be followed. Intending to comprehend these issues better several interviews were made with six employees within The Administration for the Social Services and The Addict Unit in Växjö area.

Problem The culture sector is characterized by qualitative goals which raise questions such as how do you measure culture and what is ?good? culture? Both the goals and the measurements tend to result in subjective judgments, which according to the theory make result control inefficient. Yet, result control is frequently used in the culture sector; which leads up to our research question: What characterizes the problems of result control in the culture sector?Purpose The aim of this study is to make a survey of how the Gothenburg Opera works with result control and follow-up. By defining how it tackles the different problems, which could arise with result control in a non-profit organisation, we aim to map how the problems regarding result control are characterized in the Gothenburg Opera.

This thesis examines the ideological implications of an emerging shift in human rights-issues regarding information. As Intellectual Property becomes increasingly important to the economy of developed nations previously commonly owned or unprotected information runs a real risk of becoming privatized. The World Trade Organization and its binding agreements GATS and TRIPS are subjected to a critical ideology-analysis, with special efforts to elucidate possible effects on the public service realm and its commitment as provider of free information as a human right. The result suggests that not only does a threat to information as such a right exist, but that its ideological basis however seemingly rooted in a liberal/neoliberal context actually in its express views on information deviates from liberal/neoliberal theory in many ways, and that there are theoretical inconsistencies in that same ideology..

This report documents the development of a software system for automaticscheduling called Hazel. This system is comprised of a server where an automaticscheduler has been implemented, as well as a web and mobile applicationthat allows users to interact with the system. The scheduler hasbeen developed with the functional programming language Haskell and usesa SAT-solver.Manual scheduling has long been the bane of managers everywhere, asmatching the needs of the employer with those of the employee is often adifficult and time-consuming task. There already exists several automaticschedulers that attempt to solve this problem. The issue with said schedulersis that thay tend to be expensive, or developed to only fulfill the needsof a particular organisation.

A degree thesis about quality control and assurance in construction. Made in cooperation with Wästbygg. An analysis was made of the self-monitoring control that is conducted during the construction. The data was collected from interviews from personnel employed by Wäsbygg as either work-leader, project-manager or quality- and environmental-coordinator. Many participants in the Swedish timber market procure raw material from private forest owners. They often also offer forest services to ensure reforestation after final felling. Selling silviculture services can be a part of creating a long term relationship with the landowner for future timber purchases. The Swedish Forest Agency monitors forest rejuvenation results in the entire country. In the latest survey (2006 - 2008) the proportion of approved regeneration area was 78%.

This study is an investigation of a sub community within the community of Hovsjö. The local government has financed a project in Hovsjö which is intended to bring about positive development. Resultatet visar att stora organisationer i Sverige är väl medvetna om vikten av goda medierelationer och hur de byggs och förvaltas. De använder dessutom tillgängliga verktyg vid mediekontakter på rätt sätt vilket ökar chanserna till en rättvis eller till och med fördelaktig spegling av organisationen i media. Studien visar att direktkontakt med journalister och att informationsfunktionen har en central roll i organisationens mediearbete är av högsta betydelse för att lyckas med medierelationer. Undersökningen bevisar dessutom att ett aktivt och strategiskt mediearbete kan påverka en organisations mediebild..

I denna uppsats undersöks samspelet mellan ersättningsnivå i arbetslöshetsförsäkringen och investeringar i aktiv arbetsmarknadspolitik och hur detta är kopplat till arbetsvilja i ett urval om 21 länder. Metoden som används är en beskrivning av arbetsmarknadspolitik i olika länder samt analys baserad på flernivåregression. Data är hämtad från ISSP och OECD. Uppsatsens slutsats är att en hög arbetsvilja har en tydlig koppling till ett lands kombination av arbetsmarknadspolitik och att denna koppling antar olika former med samspelet mellan ersättningsnivå i arbetslöshetsförsäkringen och ett lands investeringar i aktiv arbetsmarknadspolitik. Detta är relevant för diskussionen om hur välfärdsstaten kan överleva på längre sikt genom motverkande av de negativa incitament som skapas av vissa av dess beståndsdelar..

När CD & E lanseras som det nya sättet att bedriva utvecklingsarbete infinner sig frågan: - Hur har vi historiskt utvecklat förmågor och i vilken mån tar CD & E hand om tidigare erfarenheter från genomförda organisations- och metodförsök (OMF)? Finns det en spänning mellan CD & E och tidigare arbeten med OMF, eller stödjer de olika delar av utvecklingen? Elevdokumentationen i skolan är omfattande, bland annat genom att individuella utvecklingsplaner för skolans samtliga elever skrivs och för elever i behov av särskilt stöd ska ett åtgärdsprogram upprättas. I denna studie problematiseras texter i åtgärdsprogram.Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka och få en fördjupad förståelse av hur beteenderelaterade problem beskrivs i form av texter i åtgärdsprogram för flickor respektive pojkar och vilka pedagogiska åtgärder som föreslås på de olika nivåerna organisations-, grupp- och individnivå.För att undersöka fältet används den kvalitativa metoden och textanalys som metodansats. I studien ingår 18 åtgärdsprogram för årskurs 6-9 i tre olika kommuner vid tre kommunala skolor.Studiens resultat visar att det teoretiska perspektiv som dominerar inom problembeskrivningarna är det kategoriska, där individen ses som bärare av problemen. Något som även tidigare forskning har visat. De pedagogiska åtgärder som föreslås i åtgärdsprogrammen beskrivs i huvudsak på individnivå, även detta ligger i linje med andra studiers resultat.
