Namibia, southern Africa, suffers from an energy shortage and is therefore facing severalchallenging problems. The use of firewood as fuel for cooking is common in the whole countryand has negative consequences for health and the environment. This work have focused ondeveloping a solar baking oven, calledSunbaker, adapted for Namibian families needs forbaking. The development was based on classic solar cooking limitations, specific needs forNamibia and to have a feasible manufacturability.The project started with a theoretical study in Sweden where different solar cookers, informationregarding Namibia, technical aspects and end user aspects were studied. The globalization that has occurred during the last few years has made it more important for companies to have a well-functioning logistics system. Customers demand more options, which lead to an increased flow that creates greater demand regarding packaging and transports. Diverse logistics costs are nowadays a substantial cost for many companies. Therefore, more effort is aimed at Optimizing transportation to lower these costs.The purpose of this project is to create a user-friendly calculation of logistics costs that illustrates how the costs vary, depending on how the flow is structured. Umeå University 17/6 ? 2014 Pages: 21A thesis was made on Billerudkorsnäs production unit in Karlsborg where lime kiln in the causticising department of chemical recovery plant does not meet the required production. Causticising department is the final step in the chemical recycling unit. There, the filtered green liquor is mixed with lime to recover the cooking chemicals used in the pulp factory. The cooking liquid is called white liquor.

The sludgebark and to a certain extent the bark were until a decade ago waste products without any economic value that were thrown away. A number of environmental laws and increcing energy prices have improved the prerequisites for increasing the use of these materials. At Seskarö sawmill they burn the sludgebark and a great deal of the bark in the sawmill furnace. The sludgebark has a number of disadvantages compared to bark during burning. The sludgebark is often wet which means the energy net from burning often gets low.

Syftet med denna studie har varit att, med utgångspunkt från marinens haveristatistik för grundstötningar, söka dominerande riskfaktorer för fartygens framförande, se i vilken omfattning uppföljning genomförs och hur dragna erfarenheten används och kan utvecklas inom militär sjöfart. Vi har även undersökt om det går att finna några gemensamma orsakssamband mellan olika attribut för fartyg som grundstöter. De viktigaste iakttagelserna i studierna är att: ?    risker i samband med praktisk navigationsutbildning i skärgård bör analyseras vidare, varvid kommunicerade färdighetsnivåer, dess bibehållande och examination utgör centrala delar?    risker i samband med omorganiseringar och nya organisationer bör klarläggas?    risker vid nya fartygssystem eller metoder bör analyseras?    avvikelsesystemet i Försvarsmaktens sjösäkerhetssystem kan i sig angränsa till större avvikelse?    systemet fungerar inte fullt ut, då förmågan brister i att långsiktigt och systematiskt identifiera, analysera och förankra betydelsefull kunskap?    avvikelserapporteringssystemet, DIUS-M, har stora brister. Increased demand for fresh round timber and the need to decrease the amount of tied-up capital has made the forest industry reduce its inventory levels. This has brought on a higher demand on the timber supply from the forest management districts concerning both delivery in time and assortment output. As a result, the flow of timber has fluctuated a lot with serious consequence for the timber supply during 1994.
