The aim of this Master?s thesis is to examine the function of the budget as a means of control within an organisation in the public sector. To accomplish this, a case study has been conducted on a certain business unit within Luftfartsverket responsible for providing Air Traffic Control services. The thesis is built on a framework of contemporary theories of budgeting and includes a brief discussion of the weaknesses usually associated with the traditional budget. The conclusion of the study is that the use of budget as a means of financial control within Luftfartsverket is not efficient enough at the moment.

This dissertation was made since we wanted to investigate the conception called quality within the school sector. What it means and if there is something that can give an explanation of how they  at look at the conception within the school sector. This will be the benchmark through the dissertation, trying to find out the most important things which might be equal to quality within the school.To find the answers of our questions we will read literature according to the subject. To get an increased understanding we will interview some people within the school efficacy, and give students a survey to fill in.The most important results from our investigation is to look at everything in its entirety, not only look at what grades students get. Even though this the most narrated sign of quality.

This report is a thesis work for a B.Sc. in Forestry at the School for Forest Engineers, SLU. The work was an assignment from Jarlträ AB which is a privately owned sawmill located in southern Småland. The aim of the work was to investigate the economical result of different pricelists and how to adjust different parameters such as length correction to give an optimal result. The pricelists was examined through a computer program (SilviA). The pricelists was made in the program and after that a simulation was preformed with a selection of random sampled trees gathered from the area nearby the sawmill.

At the farm Fride, in Lojsta at the Southern part of Gotland, my family runs a pig production with 80 part-integrated sows in a ?Familybox-system?. The main parts of the facilities are from the early 90´s and have done their job. The production results have the last years decreased because of new infections so we have to do something before shifting ownership! This degree thesis is meant to answer the question about which the optimal extension would be today. By studying literature, use my own experience and make lots of calculations, I try to find out different opportunities.

In this project forging of aluminum alloy Al 6026 T9 has been performed in the temperature range of 400 °C ? 470 °C. The alloy which was in the shape of a cylindrical billet was formed in a press with the aim of analyzing the effect of different forging temperatures and required press load for optimal die filling. The component?s dimensions were later measured and compared to a reference piece.

As reptiles are becoming more common as patients in veterinary clinics, there is a need for creating new procedures regarding the care of exotic pets. The aim of this study was to develop a wound care routine adapted to reptiles, which can be used independently by a veterinary nurse due to the absence of prescription drugs or surgical techniques. The study was conducted by compiling the available research regarding wound care in reptiles, as well as research from related fields. The result indicates that polyurethane films and chlorhexidine-alcohol may advantageously be used on these patients. Hydrocolloid dressings and silver sulfadiazine dressings have adverse effects on wound healing and should not be used routinely in reptiles.

The current situation for Swedish grain farmers facing a situation with decreasing profitability makes it necessary for the farmers to find ways of increasing the margins in their grain growing. Decreasing profitabilities along with Lantmännens closing of grain elevators contribute to the necessity for farmers to invest in grain storing and drying at the farm. By investing in capacity for drying and storage of grain on the farm it is possible to recieve a higher price on the grain sold due to the possibility to sell when the price is higher compared to the harvesting season. An investment in grain drying and storage with a relatively low investment cost that recently has appeared on the Swedish market is the grain stir drying system. This study contains a comparison of an investment in a grain stir drying system where the grain is dried and stored in the same silo and a conventional drying and storage system.

Invandringen sker i Sverige i allt större utsträckning, och till följd av det ställs högre krav på den transkulturella omvårdnaden. Nya krav ställs på vårdpersonalen i deras arbete. Med detta som grund utformades studiens syfte, som var att genom en litteraturstudie belysa patienters upplevelser och uppfattning av sjukdom och hälsa relaterad till deras kultur, samt vad som kan göras för att förbättra vården utifrån deras kulturella bakgrund. I resultatet visas att kulturella värderingar är de mest framträdande faktorerna som påverkar patientens uppfattning om sin hälsa och sjukdom. Syftet med denna rapport är att undersöka om det går att integrera en inomhusantenn i ett textilt material. Rapporten utgår från en design breif från företaget Teracom Group som är en del av kampanjen ?The Optimal Indoor Antenna?. Problemet som uppstått är att Boxer Danmark anser att den danska populationen inte tycker att de befintliga inomhusantennerna är tillräckligt estetiskt tilltalande. Detta problem har det forskats kring genom litteraturstudier, empiriska studier, material- och designstudier samt produktutveckling.

Examensarbetet har gått ut på att uppgradera ett styrsystem och en operatörspanel för en centrifug i en kemisk industri. Projektets syfte är att centrifugen ska köras på ett mer automatiskt sätt med ett nyare system som har större tillgång till reservdelar.          Centrifugens äldre styrsystem från Siemens har bytts ut mot ett nytt Siemenssystem och den tidigare operatörspanelen från Siemens har bytts ut mot Beijer Electronic E1070 operatörspanel. Styrsystemet programmerades sedan i Siemens Simatic Step7 och operatörspanelen programmerades i Beijer Electronics E-designer.                Efter att programmeringen var klar testades kommunikationen mellan styrsystemet och operatörspanelen innan inkopplingen av det övriga systemet skedde.

Utvecklingen av delade mobilitetstj?nster, s?som bildelning, cykeldelning och mikromobilitet, har framh?llits som lovande l?sningar f?r att adressera de utmaningar som pr?glar urbana transportsystem. Dock visar tidigare forskning att dessa tj?nster huvudsakligen anv?nds av m?n. Det finns ocks? en brist p? kunskap om varf?r kvinnor ?r underrepresenterade i anv?ndningen av delade mobilitetstj?nster och hur dessa tj?nster kan anpassas f?r att gynna kvinnors r?rlighet. Denna uppsats bidrar till att ?ka f?rst?else f?r de hinder som begr?nsar kvinnors j?mst?llda anv?ndning av delade mobilitetstj?nster samt vilka anpassningar som kan g?ras f?r att b?ttre tillgodose kvinnors r?rlighet.

Andas är det första vi gör omedvetet, därför behöver vi inte lära oss andas. Från det första andetaget andas vi helt rätt. Senare i livet kan det gå snett i tekniken och då kan vi behöva medvetandegöra vår andning. I FMT-metoden (Funktionsinriktad musikterapi) finns redskap för att bearbeta andningen på ett effektivt och lustfyllt sätt.Lasse Hjelm (FMT-metodens grundare) betonar vikten av att andningen är inordnad i helhetsutvecklingen. För att nå optimal prestationsförmåga måste varje rörelse koordineras med andningen i en rytm.Syftet med detta examensarbete var att beskriva FMT-metoden samt göra en fördjupning i ämnet andning.

To solve this a human-centered design (HCD) approach is taken to implement a system that is truly useful for the users, meaning that they will use it more and hence deliver better sound for the audience.
