Background: Sporting events conveyed by the TV medium affect people and can give many unforgettable experiences. Sport may be synonymous with excitement and drama or just serve as entertainment. Through TV broadcasts from different sporting events, millions of televiewers all over the world have enjoyed athletic feats of extreme top class. TV broadcast sport always attracts a great number of viewers, also in Sweden. The prices of broadcasting rights to sporting events have risen strongly during the last decade, much as a consequence of the increasing competition between different TV companies both internationally and in Sweden.

 Syftet med studien var att beskriva anestesisjuksköterskors kunskaper och rutiner för positionering och mobilisering under operationer med en anestesitid över 3 timmar. Studien genomfördes som en kvantitativ enkätundersökning, med en kvalitativ aspekt. Data insamlades genom en enkät som lämnades ut till samtliga anestesisjuksköterskor på ett länssjukhus och ett länsdelssjukhus i Mellansverige. Resultatet visade att ca hälften av respondenterna önskar sig mer kunskap om vikten av positionering för att kunna förebygga skador. Anestesisjuksköterskor som ansåg sig ha tillräckliga kunskaper om positionering undersöker oftare patientens hudstatus inför en längre operation.

Denna uppsats syftar till att undersöka behovet av indirekt eld och Close Air Support i militäraoperationer i bergsterräng och belysa vilka aspekter som påverkar nyttjandet av försvarsmaktensenheter och verkanssystem vid insatser i bergsmiljö. För att svara på syftet med uppsatsen har följande studiefråga ställts: Hur använde USA den grundläggande förmågan verkan för att påverka motståndaren under Operation Anaconda? Fallstudie och textanalys har använts som vetenskaplig metod och teknik för denna uppsats. Inledningsvis studerades texter om operation Anaconda och hur operationen genomfördes. Därefter studerades svenska doktriner och reglementen avseende teorier om grundläggande förmågor och hur verkan uppnås i striden.

In this thesis the aim is to explore the connection between International presence and Reconstruction of Postconflict states. The focus in this Analyse is the concept of CIMIC which is the institutional concept of Civil-Military Co-operation in International relations and a concept in Peacebuilding Theory. The cases, which are the empirical Material, is Afghanistan and Kosovo, two most-different cases.The theoretical framework is primarily consider the mechanisms successful for the Reconstruction process in general and within CIMIC in particular. This framework including both theories of State failure and International administered Territories as well as Models for Civil- Military Co-operation.The International presence in Postconflict Societies plays a big role, even thou it is very important that initiatives for rebuilding comes from the state within. The essence of CIMIC is the civil component and the military, operating in Peacebuilding and Reconstruction missions.

There are several competing views on how to best utilize air power. Following his quantitative study of air power, Robert Pape developed a theory which focuses on undermining the target state's military strategy. According to Pape it is possible to explain the outcome as a result of military vulnerability. This essay seeks to determine if Pape's theory can predict the outcome of Operation Unified Protector. By using a mixed methods approach on four hypotheses, it will be determined if the operation was a successful case of coercion, if NATO acted according to Pape's model and whether this achieved the desired effects or not. The results reveal that the theory could not successfully predict the outcome of the conflict.

Then the language learning process and the approach in a preparatory class differs itself from a general class. The methods conducted in a preparatory class are not just focused on teaching as in a more traditional method. Achieving the objectives in a preparatory class depends on the individual student and the cohesion in the group. Students have different backgrounds and knowledge level, therefore it is extremely important that the teachers use different work methods in order to achieve and to promote the students' language development. The aim with this survey is to get the knowledge about what education methods is being used by teachers in a preparatory class.

Kroniska sjukdomar orsakar sex av tio dödsfall världen över. Många av riskfaktorerna för flera kroniska sjukdomar - såsom rökning, övervikt och fetma, dålig kosthållning och fysisk inaktivitet - är livsstilsrelaterade och påverkbara. Flera av riskfaktorerna kan förebyggas eller förhindras med en positiv hälsobeteendeförändring, men det traditionella sättet att inom sjukvården ge råd till patienterna är ofta ineffektivt och resulterar sällan i någon bestående beteendeförändring. Syftet med denna litteraturbaserade översikt var att beskriva sjuksköterskors upplevelse av att stödja patienter med kronisk sjukdom till en positiv hälsobeteendeförändring, samt att beskriva vilka hälsoeffekter sjuksköterskans stöd kan få för patienten. Resultatet visade att arbetet med hälsopromotion upplevdes som berikande och utvecklande, när tid och resurser fanns avsatta, samt att brist på tid och sviktande stöd från ledningen var de största hindren mot ett hälsofrämjande arbetssätt.

ABSTRACTGustafsson, J. & Söderqvist, N., ??The Island of Peace in the Sea of War? A newspaper study of Växjö city?s newspaper editorials regarding the conflicts of the Second World War in the Nordic countries?, Linnaeus University. A qualitative textual analysis delving into three local newspapers from Växjö city is in many ways the essence of this study. The main purpose of this study is to examine three key conflicts, the Winter War, Operation Weserübung and the Continuation War. Each conflict has been assessed in relation to the opinions advocated in the editorials of the three politically diverse newspapers.The theoretical basis for this study is founded on similar analysis made by Nybom, Johansson and Åmark who all have contributed to the content of this particular essay.

Mitt arbete handlar om känslor samt psykiska och fysiska aspekter under prestationsmoment: stress, rampfeber och prestationsångest. Jag skriver om kroppsmedvetenhet samt olika typer av förberedelser till prestation på scen.Temat på mitt arbete är ett resultat av min vilja att prestera friare och få bort de destruktiva tankar som har följt mig från början av min musikaliska resa. Genom att experimentera med olika tekniker vill jag bli bättre mentalt förberedd till att bli bra musiker på scen och inte bara i ett övningsrum. Mitt mål med detta arbete är att kunna prestera mer avslappnat i kroppen och samtidigt ta bort stress och panik i så stor utsträckning som möjligt. Jag uppfattar min examenskonsert som ett resultat av mental förberedelse baserad på alla reflektioner som jag beskriver i uppsatsen.

Dagligen kommer barn till sjukhus inför en planerad operation. De flesta barn är mer eller mindre ängsliga. De kommer till en okänd miljö och vet inte vad som ska hända. Att inte veta vad som ska hända skapar oro och rädsla. Barns oro och rädsla inför planerad operation kan även påverka barnets beteende negativt efter operationen med bland annat separationsångest och sömnsvårigheter.

This bachelor thesis, written as a part of the European Studies at Gothenburg University, is concerned with the European Unions? (EU) climate political governance in their both climate- and agricultural policy, and in particularly the question whether it is sustainable. This thesis intends to problematize if it is possible for the EU to continue to pursue its current agricultural policies, while at the sametime maintain its role as a sustainable actor on the global arena. The framework of theEUs? climate policy governance disciplines this analysis.

This essay aims to investigate how students in upper secondary school perceive the subject religion A. The study is both qualitative and quantitative and I will use a survey to investigate the perception of religion among students both vocationally oriented and theory oriented. I will use questions concerning religious background and perception on the subject in relation to the curriculum but also try to investigate whether there are differences on perception between the vocational and theory orientation. The theoretical approach is mainly based on the curriculum concerning religion A but former research is also used such as books written by Sven G Hartman (2000), Ulf Sjödin (1995), Ove Larsson (1991), Elsie Davidsson (1989) and Anders Törnwall (1988). The result in the study is that students for the most part perceive the subject religion A as something positive and the background has a connection to their present perception.

Cellulose nanocrystals (CNC) are great candidates for composite materials. The reasons why CNCs are such attractive materials for them are due to their great mechanical properties, high aspect ratio and low density. On the other hand, hydroxyapatite (HAp) is a kind of calcium phosphate and a main component of bones and teeth. The purpose of the present study is to make oriented nano-sized composites with CNC and HAp. Although some researchers carried out to make CNC composites with HAp for biomedical materials, nano-sized and oriented ones haven?t been achieved yet.

Några av de stora sjöteoretiker som vi utbildas på idag var verksamma i en tid innan insatsförsvaret, men deras teorier anses fortfarande vara användbara idag. Idag genomför svenska flottan andra typer av insatser än på slutet av 1800-talet, då teoretikerna Mahan och Corbett var verksamma. Kriget ser inte likadant ut idag och både tekniken och taktiken har utvecklats. Är de teorier vi utbildas på, tillämpbara idag? Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka teorier om skydd av handelsfartyg och jämföra hur detta skydd genomförs i nutid med fokus på insatsen i Adenviken.

The purpose of this Master thesis is to illustrate the public librarian. People in general, including library users and leading personalities in the field of culture in the communities do not know the tasks of the public librarian. We presume that the vague picture of duties of the public librarian might cause problems. In this dissertation we mean to examine only public librarians, hereby we exclude for example, university- and company librarians. The sentences of this thesis are: How are the public librarians viewed, in meaning of, tasks, role/-s, comptetence/-s, status and image? And can we call it a "profession" in the classical sense? We answer these questions by using relevant literature, interviews and conference paper.
