En hög levnadsstandard och materiell välfärd är ingen garanti för att människor är lyckliga och tillfredsställda med sina liv. Förmågan att ta hjälp av våra känslor kan också påverka vår syn på livet. Emotionell intelligens (EI) - förmågan att identifiera och hantera emotioner - har visat sig ha en positiv inverkan på livstillfredsställelse. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka detta samband utifrån fyra EI-förmågor: uppfatta och använda emotioner samt hantera egna och andras emotioner. Vidare syftade studien till att undersöka om kön, ålder och utbildning har betydelse för EI.

The aim of this study is to examine how work at music departments in public libraries has changed with time. To analyze this, the role of music libraries as well as music library users, selection, holdings, acquisition and technological development have been examined. The examined data consists of qualitative interviews with music librarians and library assistants at public libraries in Sweden. To get a time perspective, handbooks and articles about music departments in libraries have also been analyzed.This study emanates from Sanna Talja?s discourse analysis of music libraries in Finland.

Undantaget som gäller eget ägande samt anförvanters ägande i verksamheten som befinner sig i ekonomisk kris har visat sig icke tillämpligt enligt EG-domstolen varför man då kan fråga sig syftet med att ha det kvar. Då det gäller utvidgandet av begreppet lönegaranti till att ingå i företagsrekonstruktion kan det visa sig vara svårare att hålla sig i linje med EG:s lönegarantidirektiv. Regeringen menar att de genom att utforma lagen som ett socialt skydd precis som vid konkurs, samt att det direkt efter en rekonstruktion uppstår ett krav på företaget från statens sida, kringgår det enligt EU förbjudna statsstödet.

Abstract Cucumber is the second most frequently consumed vegetable after tomatoes, 33 % are eating cucumber every day. The purpose of this work is to examine if there is any product development of cucumber in Sweden, and if so in what way. A questionnaire was used with a number of questions regarding quality, origin, supply and the way cucumbers were used, and the person was also asked to choose between the normal large cucumber and the minicucumbers. This was answered by totally 100 persons in two different stores, ICA Maxi in Löddeköpinge and a discount store with a large supply of fruit and vegetables and where a large share of customers are immigrants, Özen All Frukt in Malmö. The results from questionnaire show that in some of the issues the results vary a lot between the two stores.

Membrane bioreactors (MBR) combined with biological phosphorous treatment (Bio-P) has been investigated if that could be an alternative to the future expansion with conventional active sludge treatment at Lundåkra wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in the proximity of Landskrona, Sweden.The results showed that the surface demand in the biological treatment will be reduced with 67% with the MBR-alternative compared to a conventional activated sludge process. The nutrient removal in the MBR-solution was decreased or unchanged for nitrogen-, phosphorous- and organic parameters. However, the energy demand will increase with an estimated cost of approximately 1 million SEK annually. Moreover, the extra chemical consumption is estimated to cost 370 000 SEK annually.The disturbances caused by filamentous bacteria such as sludge dispersal could be resolved with MBR-technology because the membranes are not affected by these organisms. The Bio-P process combined with MBR-technology works if the wastewater recirculates from the membranes to an aerobic zone.In the proposal, there will be a new pre-treatment step, for instance hole screens.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka åtta pedagogersuppfattningar om åtgärdsprogram som ett pedagogiskt verktyg och hur de arbetarmed åtgärdsprogram för elever i behov av särskilt stöd, hur pedagoger upprättardokumentet, hur pedagoger uppfattar arbetet med åtgärdsprogram och omåtgärdsprogram förändrar pedagogens arbetssätt samt vilka möjligheter/hinderpedagogerna ser med åtgärdsprogram. Undersökningen bygger på kvalitativasamtalsintervjuer utifrån ett relationellt, hermeneutiskt synsätt med åttapedagoger. Resultatet visade att pedagogerna uppfattade arbetet medåtgärdsprogram som något positivt. Arbetet med dokumentet gav pedagogernastruktur i arbetet och de flesta av de intervjuade pedagogerna ansåg attdokumentet påverkade både deras och elevernas arbetssätt. Undersökningen visaratt åtgärdsprogram hjälper eleven att nå målen i undervisningen men att ettåtgärdsprogram inte innebär någon garanti för måluppfyllelse.

The goal of this paper is to find out how solar cells can improve energy efficiency on-board M/S Sydfart. The paper is based on a number of energy measurements on board the M/S Sydfart. The solar surface is calculated by measuring the available space for installing solar panels. Global radiation data is taken from STRÅNG's database, the data is then used to calculate the theoretical power produced by the solar cells. Energy efficiency is analysed in two ways.

The aim of this thesis is to develop two idealtypes of politics to help serve as instruments in understanding and analysing the view on politics held by top civil servants in the municipality of Lund Sweden. The two ideal types developed here are symbolic sense making politics and rational instrumental politics. These two ideal types were applied to material from a qualitative survey to help bring out clear results and to help with the interpretation of the material The results of the study showed that the two idealtypes could not help to clearly categorize the civil servants views on management by objectives. But while categorizing the top civil servants views the important features of policy documents the ideal types were helpful. By using the ideal types I came to the conclusion that the view on policy documents was mainly characterized by sense making politics.

Despite the fact that women become more and more present in the private sector they still are heavily underrepresented in top positions. The cause has been debated and several explanations have been discussed. Although, many women have succeeded to reach top positions by making some more or less deliberate decisions that might have been decisive for their careers.The main purpose of this study is to analyse what women who aim for a successful career should be aware of regarding their choices of education and profession. Moreover, the importance of different circumstances for the development of women?s career opportunities has been inquired into.

A favourable economic situation in Sweden has lead to a very good market for agricultural real estates. The estate agents? ads in the daily newspapers, where they actively are seeking assignments, give a hint that the supply is smaller than the demand for agricultural real estates. This situation ends up in a competition between real estate agents to get as many assignments as possible to meet the demand from the market. Describing and explaining the sellers? decision process may give a specific agent an advantage towards other agents.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka faktorer som påverkar kommunikation i beslutsfattande processer. Frågeställningar som besvarades handlade om medarbetarnas upplevelse av meningsfullhet och delaktighet samt ledarens kommunikativa roll i beslutsfattandeprocesser. Studien har haft ett hermeneutiskt angreppssätt och inspirerats av det kritiska perspektivet i tolkning av data. Datainsamling har skett med sex halvstrukturerade intervjuer i två offentliga företag. Det har framkommit i vår studie att det finns ett behov av tydlighet och ansvar i kommunikationen från både chefens och medarbetarnas perspektiv.

Energy efficiency has become a very topical issue that has been discussed throughout the European Union for preventing negative environmental impacts that have been associated with the consumption of energy. In the residential sector have mainly municipalities set strict requirements for the reduction of energy consumption while the renewable energy has been asked. Different concepts of low-energy buildings have been developed to reduce the cost of operation and maintenance in existing buildings such as in new ones.This thesis has aimed to minimize the energy cost of a large building which has had low energy consumption features originally. Energy reviews has been initiated in order to be able for showing how the house electricity could be carried out even more efficiently.The work was initiated through a literature study to clearly increase the reliability on the energy subject. Different concepts of low-energy buildings have been treated in connection with its specifications, afterward those have been compared with the obtained results.
