This thesis is about covers of books and DVD movies. I have tried to find out if the visual communication of the covers differs between the book and movie with the same story. Do they appeal to different target groups? I have also been trying to find out what designers can do to increase the visibility of covers among others. Are there certain rules to follow for making a cover visible?To reach a conclusion I have been studying components in advertising pictures, since covers work as a kind of advertiser for the product.

AbstractThe purpose and vision for the municipality of Torsby are to connect with a younger population in the municipality by the year of 2012.This study is a qualitative survey of the target group ?the young ones? within the municipality of Torsby, which is the population between 17?35 years old.Because of the size and the different intrests between the individuals in this group it has been divided into three smaller groups.? High school students, 17-19 years old.? Returning seasonal workers, 20-26 years old.? People who has moved to Torsby and are now living in the municipality, 27-35 years old.The results of the study show that all the respondents believes that with the right communication channels a positive and strong communication between the municipality and the target groups can be reached. The message and the significance of the message are as important as the communication channels and all the target groups together would like to see a wider range of leisure pursuits that will suit the respective target group.The analysis and the results also show that the communication with the target groups should come about in different ways to be successful, both when it comes to fundemental reasons and choices of communication channels.The two youngest target groups has an adjacent and a similar need of well-founded and entertaining communication and information to rach a long-term result.The Older group needs communication that will give them opportunity to reflect and concider the message, which means that the municipality of Torsby needs to adjust both the message and the communication channel for a quicker respons. This target group is also in need of further studies so the municipality of Torsby succesfully can plan a more detailed communication, this because the target group is a less homogeneous group than the two other target groups..

The aim in this essay is to investigate students? attitudes to homework in grade six, and closerstudy the attitudes of the students who think homework is difficult and boring. I have chosento investigate and find out why homework is perceived as boring and cumbersome for somestudents in sixth grade. I hope to identify the aspects that contribute to the negativeconsequences that arise in connection with the homework. The following questions are usedto make the study: Do some students experience homework as boring and difficult? Do somestudents get any form of support at home, if so, how do students perceive the support fromhome? How do students feel that homework affects their leisure?What is the reason that the homework is perceived as difficult and boring according to thestudents? How should the shape of homework change according to the students who believethat homework is difficult and boring?I have chosen to do the study with Older students who have more experience with homework.I used both qualitative and quantitative methods, those are interviews and questionnaires.

Background: Pain can be a constant problem in many Older people's daily life, associated with particular physical and social disability, depression and poor quality of life. Dementia diseases are often associated with old age. Communication difficulties are one of the consequences of the disease, which clarifies the role of nursing staff in detecting and assessing pain. Objective: The aim was to compile knowledge about how nursing staff can identify pain in people with dementia. Method: A systematic literature review, where data were collected through manual and database searches.

Bakgrund: En god munhälsa spelar en viktig roll för de äldres livskvalitet ochvälbefinnande. Munhälsan påverkar hur individen talar och äter, men den är även viktig förindividens självkänsla. Det är därför viktigt att vårdpersonalen i det dagliga arbetetintegrerar munvård i omvårdnadsrutiner för de äldre. Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var attbeskriva konsekvenser av en dålig munhälsa hos äldre personer för att öka kunskapen hossjuksköterskor och övrig vårdpersonal. Metod: Studien består av en litteraturöversikt, därnio vetenskapliga artiklar med kvantitativ ansats har analyserats.

The ?good girl? is today an accepted and widespread notion. It is delimited to young girls and women who are characterised to be, for example, ambitious, high performing, working too much and risks developing mental illnesses. In today?s society women are assumed to pursue their career alongside maintaining the main responsibility for the household and family.

This study, entitled A constant balance ? Gender equality work in an organisation dominated by women and an organisation dominated by men focuses on attitudes towards gender equality issues in two organisations ? one that is dominated by women and one that is dominated by men. The study is based on the Doing gender theory, which primarily means that gender is something people do, it is constantly changing and it depends on the surrounding context.The organisations in the study are both working with gender equality issues, but the attitudes towards gender equality work are ambiguous. The primary gender equality issue in both organisations is to increase the number of employees of the non-dominant gender. The gender equality work in both organisations is formally supported but it is also being met with informal resistance.

Title: Nätdejting för olika åldrar (Netdating for different ages)Author: Henri NekmouchePurpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate what influence the medium Internethas had on building up relationships between people who have dated online, and tocompare two different age groups.Method/Material: In this study the author has conducted personal interviews with sixpeople who all have experienced Internet dating, and had their first contact with agirlfriend/boyfriend online. The questions asked were designed to help answering thepurpose of the study.Main results: This study shows that in general there is a positive view of Internet datingamong both groups. They appreciate the opportunities it provides, as they get to knowthe other persons personality first. Even so, it should be noted that they still tend to be abit ashamed to talk about Internet dating, and some don?t want to be associated with it.The communication pattern tend to be pretty much the same among both groups.

Depression hos äldre har blivit ett stort hälsoproblem. Idag är depression den vanligaste psykiatriska sjukdomen bland äldre. Om en depression inte identifieras kan den leda till allvarliga konsekvenser. En av sjuksköterskans uppgifter kan vara att identifiera depression hos äldre personer. Syftet med denna litteratur studien var att ta reda på sjuksköterskans svårigheter och möjligheter i att identifiera depression hos äldre.

Syfte med litteraturstudien var att beskriva bemötande av äldre människor inom vården utifrån de äldre vårdtagarnas, vårdgivarnas, observatörernas/anhörigas perspektiv. I en av dessa tre perspektiv representerade anhöriga tillsammans med observatörerna ett gemensamt perspektiv. En litteraturstudie gjordes och sexton vetenskapliga artiklar granskades och analyserades. Joyce Travelbee?s omsorgsteori (Interaktionsteori) var den teoretiska referensramen för studien.

Falls and fallinjuries are very common in peoples own homes in various institutions. Hospital inpatients often fall during daytime in connection with their visit to the toilet. Visual impairment such as cataract, glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy can cause falls. The purpose of this study was to examine patient´s records where falls and fallinjuries were documented at an emergency clinic and to examine if they were registered to visual impairment. The records from 68 hospital inpatients from the age of 65 years and Older who did fall during the year of 2004, were examined.

This report is the outcome of an exam work made in interaction design, bachelor degree, at the School of Arts and Communication, Malmö University. Working in collaboration with the childhood obesity unit, Region Skåne, our aim was to fulfill their request of a web based application preparing the children for treatment at their facility. Furthermore the application intends to give the children knowledge concerning obesity as well as teaching them how to obtain a healthier lifestyle in terms of provision and activities. The application concerns children in different ages and therefore different stages of their learning abilities. Our conclusions are that they need to be challenged and obtain feedback in different ways to get motivated.

Inom akutsjukvården är en stor del patienterna 65 år och äldre, vilket innebär att en stor del av vården vid en akutmottagning omfattas av bemötande och omhändertagande av äldre patienter. Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att belysa hur äldre personer beskriver att deras behov av omvårdnad blir tillgodosett av omvårdnadspersonal vid akutmottagning. Metod: Studien genomfördes som en litteraturstudie där 13 artiklar granskades. Resultat: Resultatet visade att många äldre hade en negativ upplevelse av sin vistelse på akutmottagningen. Många fick vänta länge och fick inte sina basala behov tillgodosedda såsom t.ex.

Kvinnor som utsätts för våld i nära relationer är ett globalt folkhälsoproblem, då våldets konsekvenser innebär ett liv av skuld, skam och lidande hos kvinnorna. Hälso- och sjukvårdspersonalen har en unik och viktig roll i att hitta och identifiera kvinnorna. Syftet med studien var att beskriva hur kvinnor som utsätts för våld i nära relationer upplever mötet med hälso- och sjukvården. En litteraturstudie där tolv vetenskapliga artiklar har granskats och analyserats och som ligger till grund för resultatet. Resultatet bygger på tre kategorier: Att inte bli sedd och hörd, Att känna rädsla, skam och skuld samt Att inte känna stöd.

Wind power is expanding rapidly in Sweden. Increasing amounts of wind power sets higher requirements on balancing power and grid expansions and would affect the whole Swedish electricity system. The aim of this report is to examine the factors affecting the wind power expansion in Sweden. How many wind power plants projects will obtain building permissions and what costs and revenues can be expected? How much balancing power will be required and does a changing geographical distribution of the wind power plants reduce the need of balancing power?A survey of the county board?s official applications has been made and out of all the applications, corresponding to 80 TWh produced per year, about half of the applications are expected to obtain a permit with a major portion of them located in the north of Sweden.Especially Older wind power plants, deriving revenue from Nord pool, find themselves today in a complicated financial situation.
