För barnets bästa? : En kvalitativ undersökning om förskollärare och rektorers tankar kring sin anmälningsskyldighet

We came across the discussion about the so-called duty to report (14 kap 1 § SoL) and we found some previous research, showing that preschool teachers are hesitant to report, and that they want real evidence that children are being mistreated, even though the duty to report clearly states that they have to report as soon as they suspect that a child is being mistreated. Our purpose became to study what tendencies and conditions preschool teachers and principals, placed in the municipalities of Hässleholm and Kristianstad, have to fulfil their duty to report according to the social services act, when there is a well founded suspicion that a child is being mistreated.  We split the purpose into the following research questions:   Do local guidelines about how preschool teachers should act when suspecting that a child is being mistreated exist, and are they being followed? To what degree does the staff has knowledge about these guidelines? How do preschool teachers experience the treatment from colleagues, principals and social welfare officers when they´ve done or wanted to do a report? How do preschool teachers experience the reactions of a report from custodians? We did conversational interviews with two principals, one from the municipality of Hässleholm, and one from the municipality of Kristianstad. We also made focusgroup interviews with the staff, three persons each from one of their respective preschools. Our conclusion is that preschool teachers are unwilling to report mistreatment.

Officersprofessionen och den Nya Befälsordningen : argumenten kring ett befälssystem under ett kvarts sekel

Syftet m denna uppsats är att kategorisera argumenten för och emot enbefälssystemet och diskuteraargumentens relevans utifrån en tids- och professionsaspekt. 1983 infördes det Nya Befälssystemet(NBO) vilket innebar att Sverige övergav den sorts flerbefälssystem som i princip ärallenarådande i resten av världen. Detta befälssystem har i allt större omfattning kommit att diskuteras.Detta arbete vill visa på den bredd av argument som förekommer (både för och emot),kategorisera argumenten utifrån en professionsteoretisk utgångspunkt samt visa om det finns enskillnad i argumenten beroende på om de är från tiden för NBO införande eller från nutid. Dennadel har genomförts som en kvalitativ textanalys av främst officiella dokument och vetenskapligaarbeten från Försvarshögskolan. För att tillföra ytterligare en dimension på argumentenprövas ett mindre urval emot uppfattningen ur ett Flygvapenperspektiv.

I wanted to explore how these policies relate to the older people's autonomy and their implications for officer assistance in their daily work. As a theoretical starting point I have used out of a närbyråkratiskt perspective, and a negotiation perspective.

Question to be answered about what methods and approaches used by social workers to include the child´s perspective in the process of social assistance. Another question to be answered about what the manner in which social workers took into account the child´s perspective when the families apply for social assistance in relation to the operations and requirement. To fulfill the purpose, qualitative methods were used.

Västra Götalands kommunala kriskommunikation. Ett intersektionellt perspektiv på krisberedskap

This thesis examines the municipalities of Västra Götaland and the way they are prepared for crisis communication towards people with a foreign background. Over the past years there have been several studies that have examined the issue of crisis communications towards minorities but these are often focused on the target group. In this study, I focus on the authorities' actions. The theoretical approach is primarily an intersectional one and in this way the thesis is centred on the creation of different categories, the relationship between these categories and the possibilities working with these at the municipalities.On behalf of Region Västra Götaland, this investigation began with a survey that went out to the communications officers in charge of the crisis communication in each municipality. The ambition was to clarify the preparedness of each one and show how they relate to one another.

Omkonstruktion av armled tillhörande Bracke Forest högläggare

One of the main tasks of the Swedish Armed Forces over the past few years has been International assignments, which increased the importance of the Lessons Learned process. Methods of simulator training with computers have become more frequent and the technical ability to collect digital data from sensors has been developed as well. This work demonstrates how the experience of Lessons Learned can be communicated with the computer simulator StriSimPC and how modern technology in future support experiences from the Lessons Learned process at the tactical level in the Army.Currently knowledge sharing consists of several processes and strategies in the Swedish Armed Forces. This is done by written reports, oral presentations and different practical exercises.This case study shows the functions of the simulator StriSimPC, methods of training and how it is used today. The study also describes the future opportunities, where digital metadata acquired from the modern combat vehicles could contribute sharing of experience in the Lessons Learned process.The summarized conclusions indicate that StriSimPC can combine the two strategies for personalization and codification of knowledge transfer to reach a higher level of learning.

Samband och könsskillnader mellan kriminalvårdares personlighetsdrag och upplevelse av säkerhetsklimat

Anstalten Hall utanför Södertälje tillhör säkerhetsklass A, vilket innebär att de intagna utgör en hög risk för allmänheten. De anställda har därmed ett stort ansvar i att upprätthålla säkerheten på anstalten. Syftet med föreliggande studie var att undersöka möjliga samband mellan kriminalvårdarnas personlighet, deras upplevelse av säkerhetsklimatet och upplevda incidenter. Vidare studerades könsskillnader avseende personlighetsdrag och upplevelse av säkerhetsklimat. För att undersöka detta användes säkerhetsformuläret NOSACQ-50 och personlighetsskalan Swedish universities Scales of Personality (SSP).

Usefulness of financial reports ?A study of the information need in banks? credit assessment

Background and problem: Financial reports are created for the users as decision support. Stakeholders are often subjects to information asymmetry. Banks represent one of the primary stakeholders and financiers of a company, and place great emphasis on financial reports in their credit assessment process. The question is, however, how useful the financial information actually is. According to previous research, banks consider accounting information as troublesome in some respects, mostly due to accounting choices and judgments.

Trust within small-scale forest management - a local case study in Southern Sweden

In the forest sector, non-industrial private forest (NIPF) owners commonly interact with numerous stakeholders (e.g. forest managers, timber buyers, harvesting contractors and advisors) for counseling, planning, selling and hiring. Forest management is therefore built and influenced by the relationships between NIPF owners and other stakeholders. In the local context of a Southern Sweden, the Swedish Forest Agency (SFA) and the Southern Forest Owners Association (SÖDRA) are very influential stakeholders in small-scale forest management. Based on qualitative interviews and by means of grounded theory, an analysis of the relationships between NIPF owners and the mentioned organizations was carried out in order to understand the social context at the genesis of forest management decisions.

Known to be one of the most important resources, but also one of the most difficult ones to obtain, the workforce constitutes (consistence) the core of any organization. To find the right person for a particular position is not a trivial task. The recruitment of new staff members is important for any organization in general, but for treating organizations in particular. In order to provide the best service for its clients, it is, for a treating organization, vital to recruit nothing but highly qualified personnel. A well educated workforce can more easily stick to the treatment program and thus maintain treatment integrity.
