The Swedish building stock accounts for nearly 40 percent of the total energyconsumption in the country. Properties built today are likely to last for 100 years orlonger. This places high demands on long-term and smart energy solutions that willkeep the future Swedish building stock energy consumption at low levels. This thesishas focused on examining how the energy performance of buildings is affected bydifferent choices of window types in different cardinal directions. The objective wasto obtain a basis for recommendations on how window properties can be optimizedfor different types of buildings and orientations.

Corporate Social Responsibility (?CSR?), även på svenska kallad företagens samhällsansvar, har under de senaste åren fått en allt mer betydelsefull roll i företag. Det är av intresse att studera hur olika företag ser på och använder sig av CSR, då CSR står för hur ett företag tar sitt ansvar jämtemot sina intressenter. Detta ansvar kan vara socialt lika väl som miljömässigt. Syftet med denna rapport var att analysera och undersöka vilken påverkan Sony Mobile Communications CSR initiativ GreenHeartTM hade på koldioxidutsläppen i en livscykel av deras produkter.

In light of the recent scandals in Europe involving food labelling, this study will be focusing on food labelling. This study?s purpose is to investigate the extent of knowledge concerning labeling and presentation of food in the different food stores in Halmstad.The study was conducted out of our own interests with the guidance from the environmental health Office. The study included nine different food stores of different size. The focus in this study was to verify how well five selected products follow the labeling rules.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka sexuella relationer och mötet mellan man och kvinna i Charles Bukowskis författarskap med fokus på den självbiografiske protagonisten Henry Chinaski i romanerna Postverket och Kvinnor. I analysen undersöker uppsatsen tre aspekter av mötet mellan man och kvinna: Det initierande mötet, det fysiska mötet och vad vi kallar kärlek. Uppsatsen utgår främst från Yvonne Hirdmans genusteorier och diskuterar tabun om särhållandet mellan manligt och kvinnligt. Genom att undersöka den manliga normen samt manlig och kvinnlig sexualitet appliceras dessa sedan genom närläsning av de bägge verken.Trots att protagonisten ständigt bekräftar den manliga normen dras slutsatsen att Bukowski i sitt författarskap utmanar det sexuella maktsystemet. Han visar på kvinnliga karaktärer som tar för sig och initierar till sexuella relationer i en tid där deras sexualitet fortfarande var tabubelagd..

This report describes what wireless local area networks are and the use and configuration of them. These WLAN as they also are called can be used both in new installations and expansion of existing networks. Further on this report reveals security in this area. Security is incredible important in all networks not at least wireless because you don?t have to be in the environment physically to get the information, you only have to be in the coverage area that can be several hundred meters.

During the study's first stage we noticed that the Swedish term ? utanförskap? was constructed for political purposes, the term?s ambiguity what was first raised our interest. Therefore the aims of this study was to examine how social workers at the social welfare Office and the labor market related project Framtid Kronoberg  as well as politicians within the administration of Arbete & Välfärd (Work & Welfare) relates to utanförskap as a social phenomenon. The study?s second aim was to examine how the aforementioned persons consider utanförskap to be counteracted among young adults.

The unemployment rate in Sweden is increasing even though there are more and more municipal activation policies established. The activation policies aim is to decrease the unemployment but that is not yet happening. This problem has led us to go through with this study.The aim of this study was, from an organizational perspective, to examine and describe how the interaction works between the Municipal Employment Services, Employment Office and Social Services in a Swedish medium sized municipality. Special focus was upon the legitimacy of the Municipal Employment Services.  This study was based on nine semi-structured interviews with managers and employers within the organizations in this study.

This paper addresses how political parties make decisions. Parties often have to choose between conflicting objectives such as influence on policy, control of the government, and support among the voters. This paper examines the behavior of the two Swedish parties on one of their particular policy positions: Swedish withdrawal from the EU. The aim is to describe why the Left Party (Vänsterpartiet) and the Green Party (Miljöpartiet) retain thisspecific policy position when it on one hand seems damaging to their chances of getting into government, and on the other seems to be an unrealistic policy to realize. I undertake a twocase study of the two Swedish parties, which I assume to represent a population of Nordic parties critical to the EU.

Vi har i detta examensarbete extraherat delarna av SharePoint teknologin. Vi fann, att paketet innefattar två huvudsakliga mjukvaruapplikationer som namnges SharePoint Services och SharePoint Portal Server 2003; vidare fann vi att SharePoint Service kan användas på egen hand, och att SharePoint Portal Server 2003 bara är en extension. I vår uppsats undersökte vi miljön som krävs för att åstadkomma en framgångsrik installation. Vi beskriver de olika systemarkitekturerna som paketet kan arbeta på och vilka andra mjukvaror som är nödvändiga för att använda SharePoint teknologin fullt ut.

In today's changing environment, an increasing number of companies are realizing thebenefits of analyzing business information and thereby stay competitive. By making use ofdecision support systems, known as Business Intelligence (BI), organizations are expected tocollect and process business data and thus get more out of their business.Nowadays it is not enough for organizations to have access to corporate data inside Officewalls, they must also be able to bring the information "on the go", which has been thefoundation for the progress of mobile BI solutions. As the mobility increases and thecorporate data leaves the Office, new risks arise, which is one reason as to why manycompanies hesitate at the idea of introducing mobile BI solutions.In this paper we explore two security aspects in the area of mobile BI solutions. Our researchquestion is as follows: How does security aspects affect a company's decision to acquiremobile BI solutions? The survey was conducted through interviews in cooperation with thefirm Optivasys, exclusively dedicated to the BI solution QlikView.A significant part of the theory we studied describes security as critical; however, ourresearch suggests a solution on how companies can manage the security aspects.

IKEA HaparandaTornio employ some two-hundred people in its furniture retail store.Keeping track of staff statistics and employee information has previously been achievedthrough the use of a basic Microsoft Office Excel spreadsheet. The store?s human resourcesdepartment requested an upgrade to this system with the hope of speeding up andsimplifying the administrative process, as well as to make it easier to monitor HR-relatedtarget statistics. The following report documents the development process of that upgrade ascarried out by the author. The project draws on research in usability design and cognitivepsychology to develop a user-friendly interface.

The present state of politics in contemporary Venezuela portrays a country of polarization, a chase for power and accusations of authoritarian and even undemocratic rule. The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to examine the democracy in Venezuela, in order to clarify the sometimes vauge perception of the political situation. By applying the theories of polyarchical democracy put forth by Robert Dahl, one of the most highly regarded theorists on the subject, accordingly the discussion will therefore follow a theoretical framework. Dahl requires seven nstitutions to be guaranteed in a democracy, amongst them the possibility to vote, run for public Office and the practise of freedom of speech. Measuring Dahl's levels of institutions in Venezuela, it is made clear that the level of democracy vary in different areas.

In time with HolmenSkog district Egenskog Norrköping´s decreasing mountain of cleaning, the Office started to look around for new alternative cleaning strategies to lower the costs connected with cleaning. One option was to make the inventory strategy more effective and after a phonecall with the head of the district, Jonnie Friberg, the planning started to try inventory in pictures taken from a helicopter. The pictures was at last taken from a digtal camera and the vegetationheight was mesured with a laser. The gear was supplied from Kallax Flyg AB, Luleå. In the trial 15 stands was selected depended on age and different mixtures between pine (Pinus sylvestris), spruce (Picea abies) and birch (Betula pubescense and Betula pendula).
