This work examines how the aesthetics of Japanese actor and playwright Zeami Motokiyo (1346-1443) Offers insight into the value of the unseen elements in art, specifically in the art of acting. What acting makes appear is likened to a vessel, which creates an empty space of what doesn?t appear. This non-appearing element is at the same time what gives the vessel its function. N? theater is described as an art of suggesting, giving a background to Zeami?s theories.

America finds itself divided in the midst of strict abortion laws and a contentious presidential election. This era of polarization, raises the question of whether such a great division has permeated through to the U.S Supreme Court. This paper uses two dominant theories of legitimacy; traditional and ideological, respectively, to analyze and compare this issue. The theories are compared empirically by investigating the level of public trust across opposing political affiliations. Unlike most previous research, the results suggest that variation in trust aligns with the ideological distance to the Court between democratic and republican voters. Trust is also found to be dependent on whether the electorate agrees with the decisions of the court or not.

Växjö is a medium-sized town situated in the centre of the county Småland in Sweden with a good infrastructure and logistics and with a university that encourages cooperation with private and public companies. It is in this town that our case study of Småland Airport will take place. The aim of this study is to examine in which way the program of Library and Information Science at the Linnaeus University in Växjö Offers knowledge that can be relevant for the staff at the airport in Växjö - Småland Airport. Using Wilsons model as our theoretical framework we examine how these two align with each other and by using a matrix that we ourselves elaborated in our analysis, we provide a clear picture of how the comparability two places comparability is represented. The result shows that there are compatible aspects to the Småland Aiports needs and what the program of Library and Information Science has to offer.

Humor is as interesting as it is hard to define. It has travelled a long way since Hippokratestheory about body fluids and how someone, if lacking one of these, were called a humorist andwere laughed at.In this thesis we developed a new method for categorizing types of humor in Swedish comedyseries on TV. We chose six different shows (Grotesco, KvarteretSkatan, Morgonsoffan, Fredaghelaveckan, Parlamentet and Hjälp!) from the two most popular TV-channels in Sweden(SVT1 & TV4).We based or method on previous researchers? work and came to find some categories that wererepresented in most of the previous work. Our own method came to contain seven categorieswhich we believe is enough to obtain all kinds of humor in Swedish comedy series on TV.In our study we saw that most of the humor fell under the category that we called unnormalityhumor,a category which contained incongruity which many researchers believe is afundamental part of humor.Our opinion is that the unnormality-category became too wide in our study and that we perhapsshould have divided it into two or possibly three categories to see a more distinctive result.Nonetheless, our result Offers an interesting starting point for future comparative studiesfocusing on similar subjects..

The purpose of this Bachelor thesis is to investigate which rolesthe mobile library has to its users in a small community in Sweden.To reach this purpose I have focused on the following two researchquestions:? Which are the different functions, social, cultural, educational orinformation-based, that the mobile library Offers its users andwhich of these are used in reality?? What purposes are there for the mobile library and how it is usedby it?s visitors?To answer these questions I have interviewed four users of amobile library and I have held e-mail interviews with librarians incharge of a mobile library as well as the head of the department ofculture and peoples health in the community. As a base for myanalyse I have also used a pilot study which I performed earlier inthe spring of 2011.My theoretical framework is based on the model of the publiclibrary?s different roles made by Marianne Andersson and DorteSkot-Hansen.The result of this study show?s that a mobile library isn?t verydifferent from a permanently located public library. The study focuses on whether there is a difference between study concentrate programmes and profession concentrate programmes. The study also includes differences among exercising and non-exercising students. Earlier research shows that many youths don?t have an exercise form that they spend their spare time in.

The aim of this essay is to study five teachers' perceptions and experiences of a multicultural class. I want to find out how they relate to intercultural education and how they experience that they may apply it.Sweden is a multicultural society. This fact is even reflected in the school and this imposes on teachers finding new ways to educate and prepare their students for the multicultural society.I chose to carry out a qualitative survey and interviewed five teachers having contact with a multicultural class. The study also Offers suggestions to future teachers who can benefit from it in terms of adopting convenient attitudes in multicultural classes with better understanding.The outcome reached shows that the interviewed teachers try to make use of intercultural pedagogy by addressing differences between students, adapting teaching to supply for the needs of students, and also by having good contact with parents. But teachers also experience difficulties.

The purpose of this Master?s thesis is to investigate the female reader of science fiction literature, a genre by tradition dominated by men. Through qualitative interviews with seven female science fiction readers, the relation between the reading and the readers? lives, as well as their concepts of the science fiction genre and the community of science fiction readers, was examined. The main theoretical framework used for the analysis was Yvonne Hirdman?s gender theory, Judith Butler?s concept of identity and Louise M.

The increased specialisation and complexity in products and services has created the need for Swedish companies to focus more on their core businesses. This study is focused on some individuals' experience of the concept of culture in their everyday life. Some questions about culture were asked to some persons living in a small village in the isle of Gotland and some persons in the capital of Sweden, Stockholm, in the autumn in 2007 in a field study.The study showed that peopele tend to shape their own life world in the continuous activity in their near surroundings, in the garden and in reading literature and listening to music. There were some differences in the life world depending on where they lived,  in the country side or in town. The middle manager has a central position in the organization and is expected to take on different roles. This probably puts a lot of demands on the middle managers and their competence. We want to contribute with a comprehension of how learning, competence and needs for competence can look at a middle management level. Furthermore we also want to find out what kind of strategy for competence development the middle managers want the company to use so their competence development can be facilitated.
