Marknadsundersökning för högvärdiga produkter ur klenkubb

Detta examensarbete har gjorts i samarbete med AB Karl Hedins sågverk i Krylbo i form av en marknadsundersökning. Syftet med marknadsundersökningen är att identifiera intressanta kundsegment för högvärdiga varor sågade ur timmer med en diameter mellan 9-13 cm och att utröna vilka egenskaper hos erbjudandet från leverantören som är viktigt inom dessa segment. Syftet är också att samla in data för att göra lönsamhetsberäkningar på de sågade varor som kunderna kan vara intresserade av. Marknadsundersökningen samlar således in data för att avgöra om det kan vara aktuellt att satsa på nya kundsegment och vad som bör has i åtanke för att göra detta på bästa sätt. Anledningen till att Krylbo Såg är intresserade av att hitta kunder i detta segment är att de vill effektivisera sin försörjningskedja genom att ta klenare timmer från närområdet.För att reda ut vilka kundsegment som kan vara intresserade av produkter från den klena timmerklassen och vad som värderas och efterfrågas av en leverantör har teorier om erbjudandet och värde använts.

China is a unique market that differs from the Western market in many ways. Companies are not required to publicize financial reports, and furthermore a heavy focus on business relationship building can make it hard for companies to have high quality streams of data to get insights about their markets. For a consultant company to successfully enter the Chinese market and helping producing and technological global firms improving their insights on the Chinese market, the consultant company needs to understand which the important factors are and how those factors can help in creating value for their potential customers. To help the analyzing and consultant firm called Kairos Future, a qualitative case study was conducted on 16 different global companies with focus on industrial production. The case study was mainly conducted through face to face interviews with decision makers who had a broad understanding of their respective companies.

Skogsindustrierna är en branschorganisation för massa, papper och den trämekaniska industrin och deras uppgift är att stärka medlemmarnas konkurrenskraft och arbeta för en ökad användning av skogens produkter. Skogsindustrin har varit en mycket konservativ bransch som är produktionsorienterad. Marknaden har dock utvecklats de senaste åren och kunderna kräver allt mer från sågverksföretagen. Hoten från konkurrerande material kommer allt närmare och sågverksföretagen måste i framtiden anpassa sig till marknaden för att inte tappa marknadsandelar. Vikten av att känna till efterfrågan på marknaden blir således allt viktigare. Bygghandlarna och dess kunder blir allt mer beroende av att leverantörerna kan garantera bra kvalitet och säkra leveranser för att höja effektiviteten i försörjningskedjan.

The open air museum of Disagården is situated in the Old Uppsala parish, Uppsala municipality, are projected to portray a double row village, before the land enclosure, on the Uppsala plain during the 1860s and 1870s. Disagården operates under the County Museum of Uppland and serves as an exhibit of Uppland's farming culture during the late 19th century. However, an open-air museum is a complex institution where many interests are linked together. Disagården aims to simultaneously portray an historical environment while Offering broad public appeal. The Disagården open air museum was inaugurated in 1931 and consists of relocated buildings that together form three farm complexes "Gränbygården", "Skuttungegården" and "Bärbygården". The thesis explores how the close surroundings of a typical farm in Uppland looked during the 1860s and 1870s. This historical depiction has then been applied to Disagården in a development suggestion creating a foundation from which Disagården can structure the close cultivation of the different farms. The basis of the development program has primarily been compiled through archival and literary studies but also through on-site visits and interviews. How did the concept of open air museums start and what were the ideas behind the concept? Which external influences affected the situating of cultivations and buildings? Which crops and species were present on the farms in Uppland during the specified time period? What was the relation of the different structures to each other? Which organizations had influences on the farmer's household of the Uppland plain? The thesis attempts to clarify the answers to these questions. The influences affecting on the farmer's household in Uppland were probably numerous.
