Designing temporary cities is a study of the design and physical planning of five temporary cities. The purpose was to discuss and note the important questions to be considered, when designing the outdoor environment in temporary cities to create as good an environment for the visitor as possible. The five cities I have chosen are among the most famous ones in Scandinavia, and they represent different kinds of temporary cities. This was a deliberate choice to achieve diverse research material, and with that a broad view of what the planning stage generally looks like. Study of the cities has been done through interviews with the people responsible for the design and/or physical planning of each city.

Abstract The internationalisation of a company is enabled by integration of markets. New markets mean new revenues, but also demand capital to finance the expansion. To bring in new capital may Offer new possibilities but also higher debt-equity ratios, which affect how external interested parties value the company. This thesis, inspired by previous and mainly US based research, researches the debt-equity ratio of Swedish multinational and domestic companies, sampled from the Stockholm Stock Exchange. The research questions have focused on the impact of certain internationalisation variables on the debt-equity ratio; how does the debt-equity ratio differ between international and domestic companies? Can a difference be explained by the degree of internationalisation? Can a difference be better explained by the presence of international ownership? By measuring the concept internationalisation as both trade and presence, the questions were operationalised into four hypotheses.

Genom åren har forskningen konstaterat att brott är en produkt av gärningsman, Offer och miljön i vilken de vistas. Kunskapen om att vissa platser mer än andra attraherar och koncentrerar brott har bidragit till att sambandet mellan brott och plats har blivit allt mer utforskat. Malmö Områdesundersökning 2012 konstaterade i en av sina slutsatser att brottspreventiva insatser bör anpassas efter den platsen där de sätts in. Utifrån detta och med kameraövervakningen på Stortorget i Malmö som fallstudie, försöker denna uppsats undersöka under vilka omständigheter (baserat på struktur, brottslighet och upplevd nivå av ordningsstörningar) som kameraövervakning är effektivt och hur denna kunskap kan användas i framtida brottsförebyggande arbete. Materialet består av anmälningsstatistik från polisen samt data från Malmö Områdesundersökning 2012.

The aim of this study has been to examine what students within the sport of skydiving think about their education and the social spirit of the community. The purpose of the study is thereby to answer the study's aim through the following questions; how does group dynamics and social solidarity work within the skydiving community, how do the students feel about group dynamics and social solidarity within the skydiving community, and what factors makes the students feel included or respectively excluded from the spirit of the togetherness?The theoretical part of the study focuses on group dynamics and groups overall. Further on earlier research within adventure sports and skydiving regarding group dynamics and community spirit is presented. My survey is based on 35 interviews with skydiving students.The result shows that the community spirit within skydiving sports is described by the students as very special, unique, and strong among the members.

Today, the tourism sector is the fastest growing industry in the world and also includes one of the foremost for instance in the number of work and added tax. The sector entails a lot of positive factors but also negative consequences, such as overexploitation and wear on natural areas. However, even the visitor industry contributes to smaller localities boost by creating new jobs where depopulation occurs. This study focuses on the town Kisa in Kinda Municipality. The purpose of the study is to highlight the importance of tourism for migration to a town and to show the importance of developing sustainable destinations.In the results of this study it emerges that more job opportunities are requested by respondents for increasing Kisas attractiveness.

Att som organisation använda den högeffektiva spridningen av information som sociala medier kanbidra med vid krissituationer har sina fördelar och nackdelar. Hur organisationer ska hanterapublicering av krisinformation är en avvägning mellan att hjälpa drabbade intressenter eller attskydda organisationens anseende hos intressenter. Kommunikationsverktyg som sociala medier ärinte en envägskommunikation vilket gör det möjligt för intressenter att fritt uttrycka sitt missnöjeöver situationer.Syftet med denna fallstudie är att utifrån en organisatoriskt perspektiv beskriva den avvägningmellan fördelar och nackdelar kriskommunikation på sociala medier innebär samt om det finnsspecifika framgångsfaktorer för att lyckas kriskommunicera med drabbade och intressenter under enpågående kris. Detta besvaras med hjälp av intervjuer, dokumentstudier och litteraturstudier.Studiens resulterade i redovisning av fördelar, nackdelar och framgångsfaktorer för en lyckadanvändning av sociala medier vid kriskommunikation. Slutsatsen framtogs med hjälp av resultatetsom stärkte insamlad innehåll i litteraturgenomgången.

Handel med kvinnor är idag ett globalt problem och svenska Rikskriminalpolisen uppskattar att 400 ? 600 kvinnor faller Offer för människohandel i Sverige varje år. Newspapers have undergone big changes with the progress of Internet and the newspapers establishment on the Internet. This adjustment to the Internet has resulted in differences between the content in newspapers and Web news sites. A quantitative content analysis and questions to Web authorities have been used in this study to describe what these differences are. During three days, three different newspapers were analysed and the conclusion was that many of the articles that were published in the newspapers also could be found in the newspapers Web versions. At the same time a lot of the articles on the Web news sites were not published in the newspapers.

AbstractIn urban societies people spend more and more time indoors, which put great demands on the indoor environment. If the ventilation is to manage the removal of unwanted substances in the indoor air, a good mixing of the air is required. The question arises that, whether the buoyancy forces will counteract a good mixing of the indoor air or not?This report aims to clear up the difficulties whether you need to consider the buoyancy forces or not, when adjusting a ventilation unit. For studying the indoor mixing of the air a two dimensional model is constructed in COMSOL Multiphysics.

Kvinnors kriminalitet har länge varit ett eftersatt forskningsområde, i synnerhet i Sverige. Den forskning som finns beskriver i stor utsträckning kvinnan som passiv och/eller som brottsOffer. Huvudsyftet med denna studie har varit att undersöka kvinnors syn på sin delaktighet i den egna kriminella karriären. Studien har också undersökt kvinnornas förståelse av sin kriminalitet, vilka möjligheter respektive hinder de har haft under sin uppväxt och om de anser sig fattat viktiga val som lett till kriminalitet. Fyra kvalitativa intervjuer har gjorts och analyserats med hjälp av Goldbergs stämplingsteori, Bergströms teori om kriminalitet som livsstil och till viss del utifrån tidigare forskning.

Weblogs, or blogs, are frequently modified web pages with a series of archived entries, generally in reverse chronological sequence. This thesis focuses on the rapid-growing phenomenon of weblogs and the fact that individuals with a background in library and information science are frequent users of weblogs. Since this is an explorative inductive study the ultimate purpose can be described as to find out what ?blogging? as activity is about. The research questions posed are: Why do individuals with a background in library and information science use weblogs? How does their professional identity affect their blogging? And finally; how do they use the weblog to create networks with other bloggers? The empirical material consists of audiotaped interviews with five informants who are all employed in knowledge work, either as librarians or information specialists.
