This thesis is a feasibility study for a future product development project. The purpose ofthis project is to evaluate the possibilities and difficulties associated with the design of anelectric power assist servo for all terrain vehicles (ATVs). The project has been carriedout in collaboration with Nira Control AB. Nira designs and manufactures electric andelectro mechanic products mainly for the motor sport market segment.Nira Control AB is developing a fuel injection system for a new line of large ATVs oncommission. To be able to compete with manufacturers like Yamaha and Honda thecommissioner should be able to Offer optional power assist steering.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate how gender and sexuality are made in the videogames Prince of Persia and Fable II, and more specifically to look at possibilities and limitations for the construction of gender and sexuality in these games. I understand videogames as an interactive media form that differs from other types of media like film and literature. It is a media form that depends on a player to be played. At the same time it is constituted by rules of how it can be played. I have analyzed my material by a method called close-playing.

The aim of the current study was to highlight the social service work with domestic violence against women. In this study, we examined whether there was a difference in the way the social service works and if their effort differ in terms of domestic violence. Moreover, this study investigated how social workers work to prevent future violence against victims also what method they use to find out the causes behind men?s violence against women.A total of four administrative officers were interviewed from two different municipalities. All four officers were actively working with questions concerning domestic violence against women.

Because of the increased access to information the competition between companies has intensified and more people have become aware of the advantages of business intelligence and how it can help them compete.

The purpose of this master thesis is to use marketing theory on the library?s activities. The marketing theory used is the 4Ps; product, price, promotion and place, as it's presented by Philip Kotler. Because the library can be seen as a service oriented organization Christian Gronroos theory of marketing in the service industry also has been used. A case study of the public library in Broby was made to illustrate how the public libraries? activities can appear in the light of marketing theory.

Background: According to the Swedish Social Board induced abortions are increasing in the modern day society. Nurses who work with in the gynecological department can come across patients seeking care for an induced abortion.Theoretical framework: The findings of the study will be discussed in relation to Peplau's nursing theory, ethical concepts and nursing concepts.Aim: The aim of the literature review was to illuminate the experiences of nurses working with induced abortion.Method: A systematic literature review with an inductive approach was chosen. The findings are based on seven qualitative and two quantitative studies. The articles were assessed through two different modified templates based on qualitative or quantitative design.Findings: Nurses and midwives experienced their work with induced abortions as emotionally stressful. However, it was highlighted that all women have the right whether to choose abortion or to proceed with the pregnancy.

Flera kvinnor som söker vård för sina skador identifieras aldrig som Offer för våld i nära relation. Detta beror på att flera sjuksköterskor saknar utbildning i att identifiera att våld förekommer. Det finns en osäkerhet hos sjuksköterskan i mötet med våldsutsatta kvinnor som gör att mötet med vården av kvinnan påverkas.Syfte: Syftet var att belysa sjuksköterskans upplevelse och föreställningar av mötet med våldsutsatta kvinnor inom hälso-och sjukvården.Metod: En systematisk litteraturstudie där sex kvalitativa artiklar och två kvantitativa artiklar har granskats, analyserats och kategoriserats.Resultat: Det fanns en tydlig emotionell påverkan hos sjuksköterskor under och efter mötet med våldsutsatta kvinnor. En påverkan som ibland var så stor att det påverkade deras privatliv.

AbstractThe aim of the study was to describe how school nurses experience the work with overweightchildren and youths from the compulsory school to upper secondary school and what kind ofnursing interventions they perform. The study had a descriptive design and ten school nursesfrom a municipality in the middle of Sweden participated. Data were collected by semistructured interviews and analyzed using qualitative content analysis. The result is presentedin six categories and one theme. The category to identify and investigate describes how theschool nurses, based on the result from the health interviewing, identified and investigated theoverweight children.

The purpose of this study is to highlight the situation for youths leaving foster care and entering adult life. The study examines the services provided by the social service in the Stockholm area when a youth is leaving foster care, and if a recent change in the legislation has had any impact on the operating procedures of the social service. The study includes interviews with youths who recently left foster care, as well as information collected from social service offices through a survey, supplemented by interviews with practicing social workers. All the assembled data have been analyzed using Ecological Systems theory with focus on the child perspective and the term significant others. The study shows that the respondent youth have trouble identifying the formal ending with social services, as well as the support they received or were Offered.

I möten mellan människor sker samspelet på ett kommunikativt plan där den professionella förhållningen innebär att bemöta och inte bara att möta en annan person. Polisens bemötande har stor betydelse för hur ett brottsOffer bearbetar upplevelsen av brottet hon upplevt. Syftet med studien var att undersöka och beskriva polisens uppfattningar av bemötande av brottsOffer, utifrån deras personliga erfarenheter av att vara brottsOffer. Studien genomfördes med en fenomenografisk forskningsansats och kvalitativa forskningsintervjuer av sex poliser. I en fenomenografisk studie är avsikten att försöka hitta variationen i och kategorisera människors erfarenheter i det tilltänkta undersökningsområdet.

Många stadsbyggnadsutvecklingsprojekt diskuteras flitigt i media. Dock pratar man ofta bara om den fysiska utformningen och glömmer att uppmärksamma den sociala dimensionen av projekten. Alltså de förutsättningar som finns för den sociala miljön, offentliga rum där människor ska interagera med varandra. Detta innebär att en viktig del av behoven för människors livsmiljö inte tillgodoses, vilket kan göra planeringen av det offentliga rummet misslyckad.Ett exempel på ett projekt som fallit Offer för detta är Nya Slussen som har fått stark opinion mot sig. AbstractAs a young offender in Sweden today you can be sentenced to juvenile care within the social services. Within the juvenile care it may be an option for these young offenders to undergo an affect program. That is a collective name for several types of structured programs that can include everything from conversations to visits. The purpose of this study was to create an understanding of which arguments there are for why these affect programs for young offenders is being used in three municipalities in southern Sweden. We authors found this interesting because of the lack of evidence for these affect programs.

The purpose of this Masters thesis is to examine literature on current media events. We see a close relationship between this literature and the media society where we relate Manuel Castells theory of the network society. In this thesis we have chosen books which give different views on three major media events in Sweden: 1 the assassination of Anna Lindh, the former Swedish Minister for foreign Affairs; 2 the Knutby murder and; 3 the Tsunami disaster in Southeast Asia. These books combine fact and fiction in their writing which in media science is called faction. This form of writing has similarities to genres like new journalism and documentarism and can be problematic for the reader in terms of genre expectations because of the mix of fact and fiction.

This is a study, the purpose of which is to investigate how the construction company Sefab Bygg AB is able to increase its profitability and render a more efficient production process through logistic solutions. The study is made during one of Sefab´s present projects. The project includes sanitary renovation of 650 apartments in the co-operative Opalen in Norrköping.To find out whether changes of logistic routines are profitable or not, it?s necessary to evaluate the total cost of the changes. A total cost analysis is a mapping of all the costs for a particular material, on one hand for the present situation and on the other after the change.
