In this thesis the subject innovation and the change of meaning is in focus. The purpose of the study is to present a new dimension of innovation as a change of meaning together with the cases we?ve studied. It is discussed throughout the article if theories of perception and association can affect the organization and its ability to create meaning-changing innovations. The industrial robotics is a market in need of, perhaps, if not other markets but of finding new ground that results in the change of meaning.

The purpose of this phenomenological study was to facilitate increased understanding of immigrant's experience of the meaning of work with focus on how that meaning can change as a part of the acculturation process. Participants (n=13) from eight countries answered an open question. The responses were analysed using Meaning Construction Analysis (MCA)-Minerva and the individual's life-worlds were made visible and discussed. The themes meaning of work, work, unemployment, education, adjustment, immigration, Sweden/country of origin, dreams, possibilities and self appeared as jointly shared important aspects. The results indicate that work is of central importance, and although the individuals share certain experiences, the meaning associated with the themes is of a complex and individual nature..

The aim of the study was to distinguish if there was a difference between how work is perceived and how unemployed are viewed by people in collectivistic and individualistic cultures. A phenomenological approach was used in order to capture the participants life-worlds and their meaning constitution of a phenomenon, in this case the meaning of work and how unemployed are viewed. Subjects from different parts of the world, belonging to either a collectivistic or individualistic culture, participated in this study. Data was collected by self-reports which were analyzed by the method of MCA (Meaning Constitution Analysis) and the software Minerva. The results indicated that there were differences in how individuals from collectivistic cultures compared to individuals from individualistic cultures reflected about the meaning of work.

This paper aims to describe how religion teachers in Swedish schools teach concerning questions about life issues and popular culture. To research the teachers' didactic approach to these issues, didactics has been defined with three educational questions: what, how and why. The essay focuses on teachers' effective implementation of teaching on life issues and popular culture, which we used a theory of offering meaningfulness describing what subject matter that may be imparted to the students. An Offer of meaningfulness can be pursued and can be made visible in the context of what and how performs the teaching and also in the context where the teacher planned the teaching elements. The method that the paper has used is the interviews of four different active religious educators in Stockholm and Uppsala area.

At two nursing homes for people with dementia a qualitative study was performed. The purpose was to investigate the therapy dog?s meaning to people with dementia from their perspective. Two women and five men with dementia were interviewed, everyone being somewhere between 60 and 87 years of age. All but one had previously owned a dog at some point in their lives.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to investigate the meaning the reading group of the public library has to a number of users. To fulfill the aim the following three questions have been formulated: 1) What do a number of users expect from the reading group of the public library? 2) Which approach/attitude or approaches/attitudes do a number of users have to reading and to talking about reading? 3) How do a number of users experience the ongoing reading group?The research is founded on qualitative interviews with five users that take part in three different reading groups in public libraries. The theories that are used is the theory of three so called strategies - the pragmatic, the traditionalistic, the emancipatory ? and the theory of flow.

Bakgrund:Varje år faller många män och kvinnor offer för partnervåld. Trots deras delade status som offer så har forskning funnit att våld mot manliga offer ses som mindre allvarligt och mer accepterat än våld mot kvinnliga offer. Föreliggande studie hade som syfte att undersöka och beskriva skillnader i uppfattningar mellan män och kvinnor avseende partnervåld mot manliga och kvinnliga offer, och är till författarens vetskap den första svenska studien att göra detta. Metod: Data inhämtades via enkät från 118 universitetsstudenter (61 män & 57 kvinnor). Tre former av uppfattningar undersöktes; acceptans för att någon utövar våld mot, eller att någon utsätts för, våld av sin partner samt uppfattningen om var gränsen går för våld i en relation.

The purpose of this master?s thesis is to examine virtual reading groups, and which meaning the users perceive that the virtual reading groups offer. In addition, the study inquires which details can be improved to further amend the needs and wants among the users of virtual reading groups. Through these outlines, it is discussed how libraries and librarians can make use of virtual reading groups as a resource. The study is based upon qualitative interviews, consisting of asynchronous e-mail interviews with a total of sixteen members in two different virtual reading groups.

The aim of this study has been to achieve an increased understanding of the meaning of home for people in homelessness. The study is based on texts written by people in homelessness and a qualitative content analysis has been used to process the material. The result has been analysed with an inductive approach, using parts of the analysis method grounded theory. Three aspects of the meaning of home was identified in the texts; control, self-determination and independence. The lack of a home means a major limitation concerning these aspects, according to the texts.

The aim of this essay is to study how parents to children with learning disability experences the support they get from society. My main question has been: what kind of support offer does society offer this parents? What is good and what is less satisfactory in this support? The study is based on a qualitative method. Five parents with children who has learning disabilities has been used as base. The material has been analysed with a narrative, hernmeneutic perspective.The study concludes that the parents, use in this case, find that society does not offer the necessary understanding for their problem of their family.

Uppsatsens syfte har varit att med hjälp av diskursanalys analysera fem tingsrättsdomar där kvinnor dömts för sexuella övergrepp mot barn, med avseende att studera om rättsväsendet framställer de kvinnliga gärningsmännen utifrån ett offer eller förövarperspektiv. Syftet var också att studera huruvida kvinnorna framställer sig på något av endera sätten. Våra teoretiska utgångspunkter var genusvetenskaplig teori och teorin om kvinnors brottlighet.Resultatet av uppsatsen visar på att ett flertal av tingsrättsdomarna tenderade att fokusera på kringliggande omständigheter i de kvinnliga förövarnas liv istället för den brottsliga gärningen. De omständigheter som var i fokus i domsluten var de kvinnliga förövarnas psykosociala situation, detta uppfattade vi som att tingsrätten ser kvinnorna som offer hellre än som gärningsmän. Resultatet visar också på att i flertalet av fallen tenderade de kvinnliga förövarna att framställa sina brottsliga gärningar utifrån att tillskriva sig själva vedertagna kvinnliga attribut..
