Uppsatsen ?Hur mår du lilla hjärnan?? syftar till att klargöra varför det finns få kvinnliga chefer på toppnivå inom den offentliga sektorn. Studiens första del utgörs av en litteraturstudie där vi utifrån teorier om glastaket, könsmärkta organisationer samt socialkonstruktivism, fastställer rådande ledarskapsdiskurs samt klarlägger de hinder som är mest relevanta. Studiens andra del är empirisk och består av intervjuer med sex kommunala förvaltningschefer från Lund och Eslöv.Efter analys av förvaltningschefernas svar utifrån de aspekter vi har med oss från litteraturstudiet kan konstateras att teorierna har högt förklaringsvärde gällande den ojämna könsrepresentationen på toppnivå. Resultatet visar att ledarskapsdiskursen är under ständig förändring, men att vissa aspekter av den fortfarande är förankrade i det manliga.

Intresset för medarbetarsamtal har vuxit under det senaste decenniet, men medarbetar-samtal har beforskats i lite utsträckning. En hypotes som vi har utgått från är att medarbetarsamtalet många gånger inte ges det utrymme som det borde för att gynna organisationen och individen. Studien syfte har varit att skapa kunskap kring vad ett medarbetarsamtal är i offentlig sektor. Det är en kvalitativ undersökning omfattande såväl en litteraturstudie, som en intervjuundersökning med enhetschefer och medarbetare för att få fram medarbetarsamtalets betydelse i den offentliga sektorn. Studien har visat att medarbetarsamtal idealt handlar om individen och organisationens utveckling och ska genomföras en gång per år.

Valet att hyra eller äga lokaler för att tillfredställa sin verksamhets lokalbehov beskrivs som ett av de svåraste beslut att fatta i modern ekonomi. I offentlig sektor har inställningen tidigare varit att de ska äga de lokaler där de bedriver verksamhet och att inhyrda lokaler endast skulle användas som tillfälliga lösningar. På senare år har dock inställningen ändrats och inhyrning har börjat användas som ett permanent sätt att tillfredsställa sitt lokalbehov. Antalet tillfällen där den offentliga sektorn sålt en fastighet för att sedan hyra tillbaka samma fastighet har ökat. Många menar att detta sker utan rationella grunder för beslutet.

Overweight and obesity among children and adolescents is increasing. Diseases which earlier occurred exclusively among adults are now also observed among children. There is an urgent need for new treatments that can change this negative trend. The aim of this study was to describe existing treatments for obesity among children in the age of 6-12 and the effect of those treatments. This descriptive literature study is based on 17 research articles published between 2000 and 2007 from different parts in the world.

Construction accounts for about 35 percent of the total Swedish energy consumption and most of the energy is used by the large housing stock from the so-called ?Million program?. In the national action plan the government has put forward in energy efficiency. It is mentioned that existing buildings account for more than 90 percent of what is expected to be the housing stock within the coming 50 years. In order to meet environmental objectives its required that the existing stock be reviewed for energy efficiency. The goverment is now initiating a national framework with a budget of SEK 300 million Swedish crowns per year for five years, starting in 2010 to achieve the goal on energy efficient buildings. Energy efficiency of buildings in both new construction and above all within the existing stock are addressed.

The purpose with this essay is to examine and create an understanding for what meaning graffiti and street art has for those who practice it. Furthermore, the practice of graffiti and street art is seen in relation to how urban space is produced. Five semi-structured interviews and one group interview has been made to answer the questions "What meaning does graffiti and street art has for those who practice it? Can it be seen as a way to construct identity?" "How do the artists relate to existing ideals about public space?" and "Does the artists see graffiti and street art as a resistance against the normative representation of the city, in that case, how?" The theoretical framework consists of Mitchell's ideas about public space, Tonkiss' definition of social order, Lefebvre's spatial triad, de Certeau's concept of strategy and tactics, the concept of appropriation and Castell's theory about collective identity. The results showed that the practice of graffiti and street art can be understood as a more complex practice than earlier research has shown.

Växjö is a medium-sized town situated in the centre of the county Småland in Sweden with a good infrastructure and logistics and with a university that encourages cooperation with private and public companies. It is in this town that our case study of Småland Airport will take place. The aim of this study is to examine in which way the program of Library and Information Science at the Linnaeus University in Växjö offers knowledge that can be relevant for the staff at the airport in Växjö - Småland Airport. Using Wilsons model as our theoretical framework we examine how these two align with each other and by using a matrix that we ourselves elaborated in our analysis, we provide a clear picture of how the comparability two places comparability is represented. The result shows that there are compatible aspects to the Småland Aiports needs and what the program of Library and Information Science has to offer.

Den offentliga sektorn är en viktig arbetsplats och utgör en funktion i att stärka välfärden.För att verksamheterna ska fortsätta att utvecklas är det av största vikt att välfärdssektornarbetar för att stärka och utveckla ledarskapet. Vår uppfattning är att delar av de problemsom den offentliga sektorn idag kämpar med grundar sig i att den inte aktivt förvaltar ocharbetar med identiteten. Det är ett arbete som innebär att på ett effektivt sätt förhålla sigtill sina intressenter. Syfte med denna uppsats är att belysa komplexiteten i ledarskapet,utifrån valda teorier kring struktur, kultur, identitet och kommunikation vill vi vidareförsöka identifiera eventuella likheter och skillnader mellan olika verksamheter i enkommun som kan hjälpa till att beskriva komplexiteten. Vår förhoppning är att dettaperspektiv kan bli ett bidrag för ledarnas fortsatta arbete med utvecklingen av denoffentliga sektorn.

Syftet med studien var att se om det förelåg skillnad i empati inom yrken i den offentliga sektorn, mätt på två yrkeskategorier, som har för uppgift att hjälpa människor i samhället. 344 deltagare deltog i studien (n=180, kvinnor, n =162, män, n=2, okänt kön). Fördelade i tre olika grupper, polis (n=154), sjuksköterska/undersköterska (n=119) och kontrollgrupp (n=71). Deltagarna var mellan 22-64 år gamla. Signifikant skillnad påvisades i empati som mäter emotionell förståelse, sympatisk fysiologisk affekt, altruism och bedömning av ett känslomässigt tillstånd.

Aim: The purpose of this paper is to see if there has been a change over time in the performance and in the spoken word of the Swedish cooking programs. By testing the theory of intimization on the cooking programs I get the opportunity to see if the border between the private and the public have become clearer or more difficult to notice, and if the new language, the informal language as intimization entails, has been used in Swedish cooking programs since the 70s until today, or if there´s ever been a formal language in Swedish programs? Method/Material: I'm using a rhetorical approach that includes a three-step analysis. Analysing the context, means to persuade and performance. The empirical material I intend to analyze is Swedish cooking programs from the 70s until today, 2010.

Enligt kommunikationsmyndigheten PTS finns det cirka 10miljoner mobiltelefonabonnemang endast i Sverige. Telefonerna innehåller operativsystem där det tillåts mängder av olika sorters program. I och med att Apple 2007 introducerade sin iPhone exploderade marknaden för så kallade Nomadic Devices. En telefon som mer är tänkt att fungera som någon form av handdator. Dessa telefoners utformning och funktioner möjliggör för utvecklare att ta fram mer avancerade program än man tidigare sett för mobiltelefoner.
