Examensarbetet har gjorts åt Höglunds flak i Säffle och behandlar en ny framstam till timmerlastbilar.En framstam är ett lastskydd som förhindrar stockarna på en timmerlastbil från att tränga in i hytten vid en kollision. Framstammen används även vid lastning som ett mothåll att slå stockarna emot.Kraven på framstammen från företaget är? Lättare konstruktion? Samma utböjning vid slagprov, ytbelastning och böjbelastningsprovning som nuvarande modell? Billigare eller samma pris som föregående modell? Klara proven enligt SS 2563, SS 2564? Vara estetiskt tilltalande för kund? Anpassningsbar höjd? Om möjligt få så mycket tillverkning som möjligt till den egna verkstadenArbetet delades in i två delar där en del är att konstruera plåten och hur denna skall styvas till. Den andra är att konstruera staken som håller upp plåten och tar den största delen av slagkraften.På framstamsplåten togs det fram 2 koncept.Bockningskonceptet.Konceptet består av en aluminiumplåt 6082-T6 som bockats till en L-profil runt kanterna för att styva upp plåtenFyrkantsprofil.Detta koncept består av en fyrkantsprofil i aluminium som nitas fast mot plåten.På staken togs det fram tre koncept. Alla tre är beräknade med att vara i samma material ett höghållfast stål vid namn Domex 650 med en sträckgräns på ca 650Mpa.[5]JL-profilenÄr en profil som är lätt att tillverka genom bockning och är lätt att fästa in i både plåten och i rambalken.I-profilenI-balken är gjord med en större fläns mot plåten för att underlätta vid infästning och en mindre fläns på andra sidan för att minska vikten.

Många av Sveriges badhus byggda i slutet av 1900-talet börjar idag visa tecken på kraftiga fuktskador på grund av extrema inomhusklimat. Denna rapport förklarar den allmänna problematiken kring högt fuktbelastade byggnader och berör det fuktskadade badhuset Aquarena i Katrineholm.  Extrem noggrannhet krävs vid montering av ångspärr i en konstruktion, speciellt vid högt invändigt fukttillskott. Optimal placering av fuktspärren i konstruktionens varmare del innebär att fukt aldrig tillåts kondensera och därmed minimeras risken för fuktskador och negativa konsekvenser. Verkligheten visar också att om kunskaper om fukt och fuktskador prioriteras redan i ett tidigt stadium under projektering kan många hundratusentals kronor sparas. Beräkningar av fukttransport har gjorts för tidigare ytterväggskonstruktion i Aquarena (den som drabbats av skador) och nybyggd ytterväggskonstruktion (nyframtagen till återuppbyggnaden) i datorprogrammet WUFI Pro 4.2 och analyserats i WUFI Bio 3.0.

This is done by calculate energy efficient measures on a chosen apartment block at Maratonvägen in Halmstad, in an energy and expense perspective.MethodThe examination paper is based on different methods, mainly calculation but also qualitative conversation studies, economic calculations and literature studies.

The Swedish Transport Administration manage nearly 4,000 railway bridges in different condition and age around the country. These bridges is in constant need of maintenance and requires continuous inspections. This thesis is designed as a damage investigation on a single-track railway bridge south of Solvarbo in Säter municipality. The railway bridge is in operation and serves over 10,000 trains a year, everything from speed trains to freight trains. The bridge is built as a beam bridge, simply supported over a road.

Many buildings are now nearing the end of their service life. This applies to both the older houses from the 40's and 50's to the million project houses that did not prove to be as sustainable in the long run. Often there is a desire to extend the service lifetime, but to do that you need to make detailed inspections. The Folkets hus in Gävle is one of those buildings that is in need of renovation and to fulfill the new requirements that must be met in today's buildings. It is desired to make the buildings rentable space more attractive and to extend the building with two more floors.

The subject of this bachelors degree project is an interior layout for road ambulances.Landstinget Västernorrland (LVN) wanted a layout concept that would be used to com- municate their design intentions to the ambulance producers during their purchase process.Designing ambulance interiors is an extremely complex process since there so many fac- tors to take into consideration. It ?s not just about taking the equipment and place it where there is space left in the cabin. You have to start with the user in focus and the tasks that are to be performed in the ambulance environment.It ishard to find design solutions that will fit 100% of the ambulance personnel?s working routines for 100% of the tasks.

For centuries, the human body has been used as a mean to project the norms, moral values and aesthetic preferences that exist throughout society. It has been controlled through constrictive fashion, family and social virtues and through how we perceive gender and sexuality. This essay strives to show, not only how the body and the aesthetic values coexist, but also how they work together and influence each other, with the body as the aesthetic medium. To do this, Michel Foucault?s writings of sexuality and his theories on morality and discipline, as well as Judith Butler?s works on normativity and performativity are being used.

Due to higher standards of living around the world, greater industries and larger infrastructures causes an increase of the global energy consumption. This harvest of energy puts a great stress on the global environment. With this development, it becomes increasingly important to utilize energy resources in the best possible way.Fans are components that are often used in the industry and in households. A common problem is that the fan is oversized. An oversized fan causes an excessive flow, which has to be adjusted in order to achieve the correct flow.

Septic tenosynovitis involving the digital sheath is a relatively common problem in the horse and the prognosis has been considered as poor. However, there are only few studies confirming this. The purpose of this study is to increase the knowledge about the prognosis for septic tenosynovitis in the digital sheath. The literature indicates that half or a bit more than half of the treated horses will return to previous use. The recommended treatment is debridement of the wound, lavage and sometimes application of drains and broadspectrum antibiotics. The prognosis is considered as worse when the infection is established.

Vaccination of fish can be assumed to cause pain. This study was designed to see if we can minimize the suffering of fish following vaccination. Fishes are cold-blooded animals and thus more primitive than warm-blooded animals. Despite this, many organs, e.g. the nervous system, have the same basic structure as that of other vertebrates. The fibre system for conducting pain is more diffuse than in humans.

The Swedish dairy production today consists of big farms and different housing systems are in use. These systems put demands on the cows? ability to cope with the environment and one challenge is the claw health in the herds. Some claw lesions that are frequently observed are foot rot, hemorrhages, digital dermatitis and sole ulcers, which can be caused by, for example, the claws? environment and the flooring type used.

The textile business is one of the oldest industries of our time, and it employs nearly 1.4 million workers within the European Union alone. It is not unusual that this is the foundation of a country?s industrialisation. Even though the industry brings many positive factors, there are also negative factors that will influence the industry?s growth in the future.

This report presents suggestions and recommendations on how to convert an old industrial building, built in 1958, to an office hotel. One of the main criteria was that the floor plan should be flexible. The building is situated at Jonsereds Fabriker and the study was conducted for Hantverkslokaler i Göteborg AB, the estate owner.The survey is initiated with study visits at various office hotels, together with studies of literature regarding office planning. One conclusion from the study visits is that meeting-places, where the different companies can meet and exchange ideas and services, are important. Another one, and probably the most important parameter when planning offices is that they should have windows.

Fieldstudys on 22 farms (23 silos) to study relationships between the actual particle size of the maize silage and the theoretical length of cut. The measure of theoretical length of cut were stated by the farmers and not measured by us. Particle size of maize silage was determined using the New Penn State Forage Particle Separator. SLU Skara made a special sieve for us, that had larger holes than de original sieves. The samples were shaken after instructions and then the material was weighted. We have also been taking out samples for microbiological analyses from the silos on 13 of the farms.

Under 2 månaders tid har jag befunnit mig på ett kontor i Alvesta, närmarebestämt hos sken- och konsolsystemstillverkaren Hyllteknik. Där har jag som denförsta designern någonsin på företaget jobbat nära dess ledning i arbetet med att tafram en ny skärmvägg.I designarbetet har jag fokuserat på, och lyckats med, att effektivisera produktenstillverkningsprocess och produktionskostnader. Designen har också en genomgripandemiljömedvetenhet. Bland annat har min efterforskning av miljövänligamaterial resulterat i att skärmväggens stålram håller en ljudabsorbent som består av100% polyesterfiber och har samma kretslopp som återvinningsbara PET-flaskor.Detta material har absorptionsklass A, med andra ord fungerar skärmen som enutmärkt ljuddämpare. Målet är att nå ut till kontor med en miljömedveten strävan,mån om de anställdas arbetsmiljö vad det gäller kontorets ljudlandskap och skapandetav rumsliga ytor för trivsel och arbete.För att ihopkopplade skärmväggar ska sluta tätt och kunna bära hyllplan har jag ritaten helt ny stålprofil som utgör skärmens gavlar.
