Staden Sulaymaniyah ligger i den kurdiska delen av Irak och har på senare år utvecklats då många valt att flytta från landsbygden till den centrala delen av staden. Nybyggandet sker under tidspress och långsiktigt hållbara lösningar prioriteras inte. Målet är att ta fram ett hus som är anpassat för majoriteten av befolkningen och samtidigt få ett bra och energieffektivt inomhusklimat. En faktainsamling genomfördes för att ge bakgrundsinformation till projektet. Vidare gjordes en planlösning till huset i AutoCAD vilken har använts som grund till utformningen av huset och smarta lösningar.

The companies of today compete about the consumers? attention. In a society where the speed is increasing and the trends are constantly changing the marketing of today will soon be obsolete. This is something that is clearer in the fashion business where the consumers always are looking for news at lower costs. It?s no longer an economical question to be able to wear the latest fashion trends, the availability of cheap fashion clothes is constantly increasing.

The thesis work focuses on marketing and its point of departure centers on mapping the utilization of social media as a form of marketing. The choice of this thesis subject has been deemed by the authors as one of particular interest due to the current popularity of social media in the Internet connected society and their use as marketing tools. Specifically, this thesis sets out to explore how companies exploit social media tools in marketing and how their use affects retail operations and customer relations in an effective and creative way.The report concentrates on qualitative data collection, the interview answers of four respondents, of which, two are considered experts within the field of social media. The choice of suitable respondents was strategic with the goal of covering as large a portion of the social media field as possible; one social media educator that works with companies and one who assists companies with social media applications. The remaining two respondents work in marketing and communications and employ, as part of their job, social media tools such as Facebook and Twitter.

The foremost Objective of business organizations is to generate value for shareholders and to opt for strategies which optimize it. Hence it is of key concern for business leaders to appreciate how operations best are run to maximize value creation. This study explores how financial theory can reveal the link between one particular business strategy and the corresponding effect on shareholder wealth. The question in focus is whether construction companies can enhance their value creation by implementing shift-work to increase the weekly production rate. The thesis particularly targets apartment block projects in Sweden and has the construction company Peab AB as primary Object of study.

The idea for the thesis ?Construction and implementation of a mobile prototype; The Lovebomb? originates from doctoral candidates Rebecca Hansson and Tobias Skog from PLAY Research Group at the Interactive Institute in Gothenburg. The Object of the master thesis is to construct two working LoveBomb prototypes, one mother console belonging to the LoveBomb and blueprints for both. The LoveBomb (the picture to the right shows a possible design) is intended to encourage people to express themselves emotionally when situated amongst strangers in public spaces. Two buttons control the device, which contains a radio transceiver.

AbstractDrinking water is an important resource on Earth both for humans and animals. Although most of the surface is covered by water only a small quantity is available as drinking water. Our manner of living creates a lot of pollution which has an environmental impact. Groundwater has a protracted turnover time in the soil and it can take many years before the effects of human impact are detected. The Swedish environmental Object is ?Good groundwater quality? which aims to provide a safe and sustainable supply of drinking water today and in the future.

Websites today only offer simpler form of technical analysis and are not fun to use, therefore student decided to build a website that makes technical analysis a bit more fun by giving user possibility to experiment with settings for technical indicators and also see clear visible results from analysis. Student decided to build website in ASP.NET. Technical indicators for this project only consist of those who give buy and sell-signals via cross-over, no divergence or pattern finding.This project has three questions that define this project. It?s important that there is good functionality so that performing an analysis is perceived as simple, one question is therefore; what functionality for website is needed in order for analysis to be perceived as more simple?Technical analysis is a pretty complex subject and demands an interface that is perceived as easy to understand and easy to use, it?s therefore important that the interface is well designed, second question is therefore; how should the interface be designed to be user-friendly?When systems grow large they often become hard to develop and later on unmaintainable because of the accumulated complexity and dependency between classes, the code is a mess, the last question is therefore; how can the systems complexity be eased with Object-oriented design principles?Jakob Nielsens ten heuristics for User Interface Design were used as inspiration for designing the interface for the website.

We live in a world where the resources are not equally divided and that is why charity work is needed. The United Nations Children?s Fund, UNICEF, is a global organization that works for children?s human rights around the world. But perhaps even charity work, which´s often glorified in the society, need to be looked at from different directions. Research about intercultural education, globalization and charity shows that even good deeds can end up reproducing the problem that was supposed to be solved in the first place.

I gained my interest for color during my years at the landscape architect program. I felt that you as a student in design courses constantly were faced with the problems of coloration. A subject that I perceived to be difficult, especially for us students that lacked the experiences from how a project on the drawing board turns out when it finally is built. As a professional landscape architect you there have a greater experience but I wondered how much awareness about color you actually have as a professional. How does one think about coloration and how can you use color as a formative tool? And how does color truly affect us humans? Does color have significance for the experience of landscape architecture? The Object with this project is to illustrate color and it?s place in landscape architecture.

In today?s society a large focus is put on energy systems and how our energy systems are built up. In order to make sure that we in the future still can enjoy the living standards that we are used to today, Sweden and EU have made a number of decisions on making our energy system more energy efficient and consequently reduce the usage of energy resources. Utifrån tidigare forskning om och utvärderingar av musikämnets ställning i lärarutbildningen är syftet med förestående uppsats att ytterligare belysa musikämnets situation i den svenska lärarutbildningen såsom den manifesterar sig i kursplanerna på högskolor och universitet. Föremål för analys är samtliga lärarutbildningars kursplaner i det allmänna utbildningsområdet (AUO), som tillsammans med den nationella kursplanen i musik (Kp2000) utgör underlag för besvarandet av forskningsfrågan ?På vilket sätt förbereds lärarstudenter för musikundervisning enligt Kp2000??. Ur ett hermeneutiskt perspektiv genomförs analysen baserad på fyra sökord; ?Musik?, ?Estetik?, ?Musisk? samt ?Konstnärlig?, ord hämtade ur den presenterade kontexten kring analysobjekten.

Syftet med min undersökning var att få svar på hur Armémuseum i Stockholm representerar temat krig i basutställningen och hur museipersonalen förhåller sig till denna representation. Jag önskade även veta vad för sorts kulturarv Armémuseums anställda ansåg vara problematiskt att presentera.Jag intervjuade fyra personer från Armémuseum och via metoden ?thick description? och Aronssons flanörperspektiv som grundar sig i promenadetnografin, gjort utförliga anteckningar av mina observationer från deras basutställning. Studien grundar sig i ett musei- och kulturarvsvetenskapligt perspektiv, där studier om hur kulturarv presenteras på museer är ett vanligt ämne. Mina teoretiska grundpelare har bland annat varit Gregory Ashworth, Sharon MacDonald, Laurajane Smith, Rihannon Mason och Peter Aronsson som alla menar att synen och bearbetningen av mörkt kulturarv påverkas av politiska värderingar, tiden och hur det framställs på museer.Resultatet av studien kommer fram till att Armémuseums anställda vill förmedla att krig är hemskt och som ofta går hand i hand med lidande, död och orättvisor.
