A report has been made at a company in Borås at a company called ACG Nyström. Thecompany is today international and is marketing advanced equipment, systems and furthereducation to the manufacturing industry. A part of ACG Nyström?s production is a machinethey call Unimat. ACG Nyström doesn?t just stand for the actual production of the machine,but also for assembling and installation of the machine at the final customer.

Transportation represents 10-15 % of wood supply costs. It is therefore important to improve efficiency in the transport system to decrease these costs. The aim of this study is to map the timber vehicle routing processes used by a sample of timber hauling contractors and to identify possible links between the vehicle routing process and service and economic variables. The study was carried out at Södra Skog in autumn 2008. 15 timber hauling contractors were sampled and interviewed about their work with timber transports.

The purpose of this essay is to investigate and discuss the current state of game research and its potential usage in didactic situations. The essay is divided in two parts. Part one consists of an attempt to comment preceding contemporary game research and address possible myths that have been established. Part two aims to discuss games narrative capacity and function in education using the theories and terms laid down by Wolfgang Iser and Gérard Genette.Contemporary game research tends to focus on classic retro games, trying to form theories for a general understanding of the media. This is a useful method as long as the purpose of the study is to define how game mechanics and layout are formed.

This study examines how female offenders are represented in Swedish district court judgments concerning possession of pepper spray classified as minor weapons offences under the Swedish Weapons Act (1996:67). The aim is to analyze how female offenders are constructed through the language of judicial reasoning and how notions of gender, responsibility and deviance are reproduced within court discourse. While the study is primarily situated within a sociological framework, its results may also be related to criminological contexts. The empirical material consists of guilty verdicts from Swedish district courts, analyzed through critical discourse analysis based on Fairclough's (2019) three dimensional model and J?ger's (2001) concept of the discursive plane.

Delineation of recharge areas for aquifers is performed in the groundwater mapping process at the Swedish geological survey, SGU. This work is time consuming and performed manually. It is therefore desirable to develop a more general and repeatable method for defining recharge areas for aquifers.The purpose of this study was to investigate two other possible methods to delineate recharge areas for aquifers. The first method was to examine the possibility of using the topography of the bedrock to define the recharge areas for aquifers. To enable this, a method for generating the topography of the bedrock was developed.

The issue about how Scania shall perform HVAC tests in the climatic wind tunnel CD7, which Scania is about to complete by year 2013, has resulted in four test methods for truck HVAC and also a test method structure. The test methods have been chosen to focus on sun, snow and rain simulations. These are adapted and developed according to what should be tested and to what can be tested in CD7, which has been the object. With CD7 different climates can be simulated in a controlled environment for complete truck level, from desert with high sun load to arctic cold and snow.The test methods represents a basis to start from, for designers and test engineers which make the testing more repetitive as well as time eventually can be saved. Before the test methods can be applied they must be verified as they are based on theoretical and empirical assumptions.

Instrumentets placering blir därför en kompromiss mellan tillgång till referensobjekt och tillgång till den plats där inmätning respektive utsättning skall ske. Denna masteruppsats tar sin utgångspunkt i en utveckling av nya boendemiljöer som genom sin lokalisering och utformning vill främja aktiviteter i ett specifikt fritidsintresse, ett tema, till att utövas lokalt i boendemiljön. Denna form av inriktade boendemiljöer benämns i uppsatsen som temaby.Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka vilka värden i boendemiljön som är framträdande hos boende i en temaby. Genom att besvara syftet kan det praktiska utfallet för boendemiljöns inriktning sättas i relation till övriga aspekter av boendemiljön som framkommer som värdefulla. Uppsatsens frågeställningar baseras på fyra dimensioner (karakteristisk-, relationell-, platsspecifik- samt temadimension) som spänner över regionala och mer lokala aspekter. Dimensionerna fungerar även som en sammanfattning av uppsatsens teoretiska avsnitt som applicerar temabyn till en större vetenskaplig diskussion om begreppen plats, rum och boendemiljö samt landsbygdspraktik.

During the last few years the harwarder has developed from a prototype into a market product. Holmen Skog owns two harwarders and uses two more owned by entrepreneurs. In previous studies it has been shown that the harwarder was a slow and expensive forwarder. In this study the unloading at road-site was studied. The goal was to describe the differences in time consumption between unloading two-sided or single-sided (only from side of the road) and also the difference between unloading with three and four assortments in the carrier.
