Uppsatsen bygger på en studie av hur texttyp och genre förklaras i läroböcker inom gymnasieskolan. Syftet är att kritiskt granska hur begreppen förklaras i läroböcker för Svenska A och B. Som utgångspunkt för studien görs även en granskning av hur vetenskaplig text förklarar dessa begrepp. Det sker genom en kritisk närläsning av ett texturval från både det språkvetenskapliga och det litteraturvetenskapliga fältet. Granskningen utgår från distinktion, komplexitet och samband.

The aim of this study is to describe how reviews of literature in Bonniers litterära magasin and Expressen changed during the period 1964-2004. The investigation is based on 20 reviews of novels and short stories, which are analysed with a method described in Hellspong and Ledin (1997) and inspired by Halliday. The theoretical frame of the investigation is founded on critical discourse analysis (Fairclough 1992 & 2001) and Habermas´social theory of the public sphere.The investigation shows, among other things, that the reviews became shorter and easier to read in both paper during the period. The investigation also shows that the genre´s style, composition and contents are relatively stable, and that current ideologies in society have a tendency to be reflected in the reviewers´evaluation of the books. To generalize, the reviews thus developed from a poetic genre in 1964, to become political in the 1970s, academic in the 1980s, feminist in the 1990s and finally an intermedial genre in 2004..

The aim of this essay is to examine the attitudes towards publication of short stories, carried by the employees of Bokförlaget Forum, a randomly chosen Swedish publishing house. The study seeks to investigate the causes behind and consequences of the attitudes, as well as their generality. Through qualitative interviews, carried out with five of the company?s employees, the short story is defined as a problematic genre, mainly due to its low commercial success. The conclusions drawn from the interviews are put into a historical perspective, where the developments of the short story-genre, as well as that of the modern Swedish book market, are discussed.

AbstractSwedish tuition for immigrants (SFI) is a public adult education program in Sweden that was created in order to provide the immigrants with basic skills in Swedish. People with different backgrounds speaking different languages learn together how they should communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing. For those who teach SFI it is important to know which factors have positive effects on the Swedish language acquisition. One of the questions to be asked is if the learning materials´ genre has any effect on the SFI students´ proficiency, in particular, oral proficiency. Scientists as von Franz, Vygotskiy and Bettelheim argued that fairy tales, as a genre consciously or subconsciously recognizable by all the people, present texts that are easy to acqiure.

Då TV-reklam idag är ett frekvent inslag i de kommersiella TV-kanalerna ville vi ta reda på vilken typ av reklamfilm som uppfattades som mest lämpad vid varumärkesbyggande. För att ta reda på detta valde vi att genomföra kvalitativa djupintervjuer med sex personer, tre kvinnor och tre män, i åldrarna 18 - 65 år. Vi valde att avgränsa oss till de tre genrerna humorreklam, känsloreklam och kändisreklam, och valde ut två reklamfilmer inom varje genre som vi ansåg representativa för respektive genre. Vi valde att använda oss av semiotik och brand equity som teoretisk ansats då vi ansåg att de passade väl in i vår studie.Under intervjuerna visade vi reklamfilmerna för intervjupersonerna och ställde därefter frågor utifrån två förutbestämda frågeområden; varumärke och reklamfilmsgenre. Majoriteten av intervjupersonerna ansåg att humor var den genre som var mest lämpad vid varumärkesbyggande, men när det gällde personligt tyckande visade det sig att humor och känsloreklam var lika mycket uppskattade.

This paper investigates the relations between the fantasy genre and the phenomena of escapism. It also delves into the factors which motivates consumption of various fantasy mediums. This is done through interviews with six different fantasy-consumers, along with two observations; of which one is performed at a science fiction convention and the other at a table-top role playing game. The study resulted in a basic understanding of escapism ? it is not limited to the fantasy genre, and fantasy consumers do not deny that fantasy is a form of escapism.

The purpose of this study was to examine how the genrebased instruction applied in multicultural classrooms. My observations were carried out in three different classrooms, whit the educators constantly working on language development off the students. Two observations were carried out in Swedish, with a teacher of Swedish as a second language and the Swedish-teacher working with students together. In these two lessons in Swedish, I took away from Pauline Gibbons model, while the third lesson in civics I assumed from Eija Kuyumcu genre model. Both models are based on the Australian research around the genrebased teaching.

Genus är ett begrepp som beskriver hur det socialt och kulturellt är att vara kvinna eller man. Inom litteraturvetenskapen växer intresset för genusinriktade studier där man tittar på hur genus konstrueras i litteraturen. Den här studien undersöker hur genus förmedlas till barn genom en bilderbok. En bilderbok idag är något som är självklart för många men samtidigt oklart. Bilderboken har sin plats på biblioteket och i bokhandeln men det finns inte alla gånger en klar definition av vad bilderböcker är.

Inför genomförandet av det praktiska arbetet som består av åtta porträttfotografier, krävdes kunskap om hur dokumentära porträttbilder och porträttbilder inom reklam vanligtvis fotograferas. Utifrån den kunskapen listades olika estetiska och genusbaserade normerna upp och tre av porträtten var avsedda att bryta mot normerna för att se hur trovärdigheten på bilderna skulle uppfattas beroende av genre. Därefter genomfördes en enkätundersökning med 40 stycken respondenter, vars svar sedan utvärderades och som resulterade i att frågeställningen besvarades. Frågeställningen löd på följande sätt.Vilka skillnader och likheter finns det då man fotograferar porträtt i den dokumentära genren gentemot reklambilder? Påverkas trovärdigheten i bilden beroende på vilken genre det är frågan om?Enligt undersökningen har det visat sig att likheterna och främst skillnaderna mellan genrerna är bland annat bildernas format, retuschering, ljussättning, färg eller svartvita porträtt, porträttens avsikt och genusgestaltningen, som i sin tur har påverkat trovärdigheten i bilderna på olika sätt, beroende på genre..

This work represents a first attempt to articulate my practice as a composer. Through a phenomenological perspective and with the support of the philosophical concept 'Weak Thought', I approach the idea of music as meaning in itself, beyond language. My exploration of these ideas is developed through three perspectives: partly through analysis of my own work, partly through a brief presentation of the concept of 'Weak Thought', and lastly through a series of subject-specific reflections..

With this paper the aim is to find out whether there are any differences in how five students from the north part of Africa structures their tales in comparison with the Nordic tale "The emperor?s new clothes". The purpose is to look at how the genre pedagogy can be said to relate to these differences. What happens to the "deviant" structures?Based on literature and research on the subject, I have concluded that there are certain patterns of how a tale "should" be structured based on Western standards.

The aim of this study is to investigate how five boys in grade 3 of compulsory school structure and use language when they write narrative texts retelling and assessing personally experienced events. This is studied by interpreting how the boys use genre steps that are typical of the structure of personal narrative texts and by detecting and naming different linguistic features in the texts. The material in the study consists of five boys?personal reports and the method, which is based on the theories of genre pedagogy (see Johansson & Sandell Ring 2012:28ff, 223f), comes from systemic functional linguistics. A central finding of the study is that the boys structure their texts in varying combinations of genre steps which commonly occur in texts of a narrative kind.

Uppsatsen undersöker VD-orden för de fyra svenska storbankerna Handelsbanken, Nordea, SEB och Swedbank under åren 2006-2009, d.v.s. åren före respektive under finanskrisen. En sådan förhållandevis ovanlig och omfattande händelse som finanskrisen utgjorde ger tillfälle att undersöka om och i så fall hur en genre påverkas under extraordinärt tryck för att besvara frågan hur en genre förhåller sig till en genomgripande kris. Inledningsvis undersöks vilka regelbundenheter som karaktäriserar bankernas VD-ord under normala omständigheter. Därefter jämförs detta med VD-orden under 2008-2009 för att se vilka eventuella förändringar som sker inom genren.Det framgår av denna studie att förväntan på VD att framställa sig och banken i enlighet med den s.k.

I detta arbete har jag undersökt om det finns några skillnader på gitarrövning inom olika genrer. Jag har försökt hitta en bild av inställningen till övning och tagit reda på om, och i så fall varför det uppstått skillnader mellan klassisk och afroamerikansk tradition. För att få svar på mina frågor har jag intervjuat sex gitarrlärare, tre inom varje genre, som undervisar på olika nivåer. Svaren har varierat en del men jag har fått fram en generaliserad bild med en del skillnader, men också med stora likheter. Attitydskillnader hos de olika genrerna finns inte enligt mina informanter, utan har istället uppstått mycket på grund av media.
