In Europe poplar plantations has been planted for more than one hundred years. In the first plantation was made in 1940. The interest for poplars has since then shifted over the years and has for long periods been very low but is now slowly increasing again. The main reasons why poplars are becoming more interesting are because of their great production potential. Nevertheless, the knowledge of how to mange poplars in Sweden are very low and very little research has been done concerning management of the species. The objective for this study was to; 1) investigate and document experience and results obtained in practical Swedish forestry, 2) to give a fair picture of the perceived advantages and disadvantages that the poplars has for the forestry, 3) document what the foresters that has experience and those who has no experience of poplar plantations thinks about the potential of poplars.

The intervention product must naturally contain beta-glucan, and an equally product should be retailed in Swedish grocery stores. The control group needed to be supplied with a placebo product and the participants could not be on any lipid-lowering medication.

Background: It has been a common perception in the media in recent years that external shopping malls extinguish the trade in Swedish downtown areas. Ductus arteriosus (DA) är en förbindelse mellan aorta och truncus pulmonalis som normalt finns hos alla däggdjur under fosterstadiet. Denna kanal har till syfte att shunta blod förbi lungorna tillbaka ut i systemkretsloppet, då gasutbyte sker över placenta och lungorna endast kräver en liten mängd blod för sin egen nutrition och metabolism. I samband med födseln ökar syretrycket vilket medför att den glatta muskulaturen i DA kontraherar, och därefter sker en fysiologisk degeneration i kärlväggen, vilket resulterar i en stängning och tillbakabildning av shunten. Processen är normalt avslutad inom en månad och DA har då omvandlats till ett ligament. Persisterande ductus arteriosus (PDA), som är en av de vanligaste medfödda kardiovaskulära defekterna hos hundar, utvecklas i de fall då stängningen av DA helt eller delvis uteblir. PDA hos hund är en ärftliga sjukdom som orsakas av hypoplasi av den glatta muskulaturen i DA.

Milk fever, or parturient paresis, is the second most common disease in Swedish dairy cows. The disorder is associated with the onset of lactation when some cows are unable to meet the metabolic demands of calcium to support milk production and therefore develop a state of hypocalcaemia. Clinical hypocalcaemia (milk fever) may lead to coma and death in severe cases but subclinical hypocalcaemia has also been shown to have negative effects on e.g. feed intake and production and to increase the susceptibility of the cow to develop secondary diseases. The nutritional strategy applied precalving is of great importance in preventing milk fever and e.g.

Feline asthma is a condition very similar to the respiratory disease affecting humans. It is causing, among other things, a constriction of the bronchial airways, an increase of mucus production and damage to, or erosion of, the epithelial membrane. The symptoms occur intermittently and do, in most cases, evolve during a long period of time. The aim of this essay was to investigate whether there are any nursing routines for feline patients with asthma in animal clinics and animal hospitals in Sweden, and if so, to compare similarities and differences. A literary study of research material also led to a suggestion of how to form a nursing routine for this type of patient.

Denna rapport är en sammanställning av det examensarbete som utförts under 2004-2005 vid Luleå tekniska universitet i samarbete med Fresenius Kabi AB i Uppsala. Syftet med projektet var att komma fram till förbättringsförslag till de brister som finns i den aktuella produktionen. Detta gällde främst arbetsmiljön ur en ergonomisk synvinkel. SUMMARY The interest of horses in the riding sector has increased the last decades. A large amount of horses are transported in a 1 or 2-horse trailer, which is pulled by a car. Today a large number of different products and designs of trailers can be found on the market. The difference in shaping of trailers depends on tradition and experience. There are no detailed directions on the demands for shaping of horse trailers today. The literature review contains a market analysis of both Swedish and imported horse trailers.

Distillers? grain is a by-product of ethanol production. Corn, wheat and barley are the grains that are generally used in the distillery process. Distillers? grain is rich in protein and phosphorus.

To support uniform and fair assessment of Swedish students? English language competences, mandatory National tests are provided both for secondary and upper secondary education. The current thesis may be seen as a contribution to the further development and validation of these tests, with regard to the likely introduction of computerized testing methods. The aim is to gain further knowledge from current research in the field, to study and elucidate international experiences of implementation, and to gather and analyze feedback from students and teachers. Based on my findings, some tentative conclusions will be drawn, and recommendations made concerning future developments.

In Sweden there are laws and recommendations from The National Board of Health and Welfare about the importance of a user's involvement in and possibility of influencing services directed at them. Even with such good intentions the same board reports that it is hard to know if people experience that they do. The purpose of my study was to examine how professionals can use their knowledge to help users increase their sense of influence in services that they use. My focus has been on adults with neuropsychiatric disabilities within the autistic spectra, such as Asperger syndrome, and on the professionals working with them. The specific problem among people with neuropsychiatric disabilities is a lack of social skills.

Syfte: Huvudsyftet med uppsatsen är att beskriva praktiken inom affiliate marketing ochbloggar inom livsstilssegmentet över en tvåmånaders period. Studien beskriver och framför defaktorer som krävs för att skapa och driva en blogg som attraherar läsare och annonsörer.Design och metod: Uppsatsen presenterar en statistisk analys av de huvudkategorier sombloggare i livsstilssegmentet nyttjar i sitt nätbaserade dagboksskrivande samt en diskursanalysav innehållet i dessa kategorier. Första steget i studien är att lokalisera bloggar som uppfyllerde kriterier som kännetecknar en livsstilsblogg. Det andra steget är att kategorisera inläggen ibloggarna. Det tredje steget är att genom diskurs analysera innehållet i inläggen som tillhör deolika kategorierna.Resultat: En utförlig studie av bloggar inom livsstilssegmentet som dessutom arbetar medaffiliate marketing visar på tendensen att dessa kommunicerar med sina läsare på ett sätt därde eftersträvar ett djupare och mer familiärt förhållande till sina läsare.
