Årligen ådrar sig ca 18 000 personer i Sverige en höftfraktur. Det är främst äldre som drabbas, medelåldern är 80 år. Vid rehabiliteringen efter en höftfraktur är det övergripande målet att patienten skall återfå samma fysiska, psykiska och sociala nivå som han/hon hade före frakturen. En förutsättning för god hälsa, att undvika sjukdom och för att återvinna hälsa är ett gott nutritionstillstånd. Vid malnutrition råder ett tillstånd då kroppens intag av energi och näring understiger kroppens faktiska behov och det finns då en ökad risk för sjuklighet. Enligt Socialstyrelsen som sammanställt olika studier lider 50 % av de patienter som ådrar sig en höftfraktur av malnutrition. Studiens syfte är att finna omvårdnadshandlingar som kan leda till ett förbättrat nutritionsstatus hos patienter som ådragit sig en höftfraktur för att förbättra läkning och rehabilitering och därigenom öka patientens välbefinnande och minska lidandet. Som metod har analys av aktuella vetenskapliga artiklar använts. Resultatet visar olika teman som beskriver olika omvårdnadshandlingar. Temana är: ?Att finna och åtgärda orsaker till ett försämrat födointag vid en höftfraktur?, ?Att göra en bedömning av patientens nutritionsstatus och mäta patientens intag av mat och väska?, ?Att informera och kommunicera med patienten om kost och nutrition?, ?Att ge omvårdnad i samband med måltid? samt ?Att ge olika näringstillägg?..

Background:The adult inpatient psychiatric care is regulated by law and allows certain amount of coercion, most commonly restraint, forced medication and seclusion. To be treated according to this law you need to suffer from a serious mental disorder, oppose to the care and have an indispensable need of care. Many studies describe patients experiences to be treated with coercion but few about health care workers experiences.Aim:To describe health care workers experiences of performing coercion in psychiatric compulsory care.Method:A literature review was made and eight articles is the basis for the result.Results:From the articles used inthis study four themes were created. These are coercions impact on relations, health care workers feelings during coercion, coercion as a necessary evil and health care workers need for reflection. The themes are presented as headlines in the result.Conclusion:To use coercive measures brings out many different feelings among health care workers.

?Studies have shown that patients receiving mechanical ventilation in an intensive care unit (ICU), who are entirely dependent on the nursing staff, often experience frustration due to a temporary loss of the voice source. Limited communication is an important factor contributing to patient discomfort. Nursing staff also report communication as frustrating and difficult.The aim of the present study is to introduce a neck-type electrolarynx as a communication aid in an ICU, to study the nursing staff experiences of communication with tracheotomized patients receiving mechanical ventilation, and to examine the patient´s experiences regarding communicative abilities. Communication between a ventilator treated, tracheotomized patient and members of the nursing staff was recorded and analyzed according to principles of Conversation Analysis (CA).The results show that several members of the nursing staff experience difficulties communicating with tracheotomized patients receiving mechanical ventilation.

Non-attendance and cancellations within dental care is a problem resulting in both financial and time consuming losses. The purpose of this questionnaire was to investigate different factors influencing non-attendance and cancellations. Six public and private dental clinics located in Skåne participated. Information about the clinics and patient-related factors were collected. Result: Totally 182 patients cancelling or not attending their appointment were registered.
