People rely on fuels that contribute to environmental, social and health problems.Biogas is an alternative energy source and an increased investment in small-scale biogas production can in several developing countries be found. Several projects have started to use the technology in developing countries because of the benefits with biogas. Some cases in the establishment of biogas plants have succeeded and some have not. The study is a literature review supplemented by two field studies.

Bakgrund:Patienter som vårdas på grund av självskadebeteende inom slutenvården har ökat sedan 1990- talet. Det första mötet dessa patienter har med sjukvården är ofta på akutmottagningar, som främst är utformade för att effektivt vårda patienter som är fysiskt sjuka. Patienter som med självskadebeteende har ofta svårt att kommunicera sina känslor till andra. Samtidigt som de upplever att de bemöts negativt av sjuksköterskor i vården. Attityder hos sjuksköterskor påverkar omvårdnaden genom hur de tänker, känner och handlar gentemot patienten.Syfte:Syftet med detta examensarbete är att beskriva akutsjuksköterskors attityder gentemot patienter med ett självskadebeteende.Metod: En allmän litteraturöversikt baserad på 9 vetenskapliga studier varav 6 var kvantitativa och 3 kvalitativa.

The purpose of this study is to examine the usage of IT technology within preschool and study how IT tools are used by preschool staff for administrative as well as pedagogical assignments. Several aspects affects the work preschool staff do with IT which concerns availability to technology, how technology is used and how technology is made available for the children. There are a number of questions linked to these aspects where some examples this study examines are which advantages, disadvantages, obstacles or other limitations that comes with introducing IT? This study also examines how, when and in what contexts IT is being used? Other questions examined are the pedagogue?s general views of IT, competence development and eventual needs of investment? Further on this study examines to some part how children interact with IT during pedagogical activities? The overall objective is to shed light on problems that preschool staff encounter  in their daily work and on the basis of identifying important questions at issue that could constitute a basis for further research. The results of this study are based on both a literature review and a field study.

Enligt Patientdatalagen (SFS 2008:355), 3 kap, 1 § har fastställts att sjuksköterskan är skyldig att föra journal. I varje patientjournal ska upprättas en omvårdnadsplan vilken ska vara utformad enligt omvårdnadsprocessens fem faser: bedömning, diagnos, mål, planering, genomförande och utvärdering. Omvårdnadsdokumentationen har som syfte att beskriva den vård som patienten erhållit genom att den beskriver vilka beslut som tagits, vilka åtgärder som gjorts samt vilka resultat som uppnåtts. Patienter som genomgår allogen stamcellstransplantation (SCT) upplever ofta en hög psykologisk påfrestning och själva transplantationstillfället är i sig komplext med många behandlingsrelaterade biverkningar som påverkar hela den transplanterades tillvaro både fysiskt och psykiskt. Syftet med uppsatsen var att undersöka sjuksköterskans  omvårdnadsdokumentation avseende omvårdnadsprocessen gällande patienters emotionella hälsa (EH) från utskrivningsdatum för SCT och ett år framåt.

This thesis approaches the problem of estimating the arm angles of an industrial robot with flexibilities in joints and links. Due to cost-cutting efforts in the industrial robots industry, weaker components and more cost-effective structures have been introduced which in turn has led to problems with flexibilities, nonlinearities and friction. In order to handle these challenging dynamic problems and achieve high accuracy this study introduces state observers to estimate the tool position.The observers use measurements of the motor angles and an accelerometer and the different evaluated observers are based on an Extended Kalman Filter and a deterministic variant. They have been evaluated in experiments on an industrial robot with two degrees of freedom. The experimental verification shows that the state estimates can be highly accurate for medium frequency motions, ranging from 3-30Hz.

Att arbetsleda omvårdnaden är en av sjuksköterskans viktigaste uppgifter. Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur sjuksköterskan uppfattar sitt ledarskap i omvårdnaden. Metoden är en empirisk studie, där en enkät lämnades ut till 89 sjuksköterskor på en klinik vid UMAS. Enkäten besvarades av 68 (76,4 %) sjuksköterskor, vilket betyder att bortfallet var litet och därmed ökar studiens tyngd. I resultatet visade det sig att svaren följer Socialstyrelsens kompetensbeskrivning för sjuksköterskor, dock kan vissa andra tendenser skönjas i vissa variabler..

This paper is about research carried out at a hospital at which managers had taken a course in gender equality. The aim was to get a deepened understanding of them and their work on gender equality. I wanted to find out if they themselves felt that they had obtained any new knowledge and if they had changed anything at their workplace because of this new knowledge. I also wanted to know if they had experienced any problems in this process. I found that the course has been more or less decisive in order for them to start working with questions concerning gender equality.

This study in Environmental Science examines the amendment of the EU-Directive on. Greenhouse gas emission allowance trading. The Directive is to be considered as a tool for fulfilling the obligations that the Union and its member countries have taken on through the 1997 Kyoto agreement together with the protocols proposed at that time. The purpose of this thesis is to examine and analyze the characteristics of the management control system private equity firms use to manage their portfolio companies. The thesis takes a share holder value perspective, and it is assumed that the goal of the management control system is to increase the shareholder value in the portfolio company. In a qualitative study two private equity firms and two portfolio companies, one for each private equity firm, were studied in detail. In total, nine in debt interviews were completed. The results from this study suggest that the characteristics of the control system are dependent on the surrounding context; the focus on shareholder value and the specific characteristics of the private equity industry shape the characteristics of the management control system.

This entail an increasing strain on the medical service when to nurse and treat patients with diabetes type 2. To support and empower the patients in their choices, which will affect them for life, is a challenge to the nurse. The nurse is an important character in nursing care when patients take a more active part in treatments. The aim of this literature review was to exam the factors, which influence diabetes care.

One of many difficult issues in veterinary medicine is the assessment of an animal's experience of pain. As a licensed veterinary nurse in Sweden you are obligated by law to work by the concept of evidence based medicine. To achieve this the author of this study sees the need for standardized methods of pain assessment. A Swedish version of Short form of the Glasgow Composite Measure Pain Scale (CMPS-SF) has recently been translated and developed. Furthermore, a psychometric validation needs to be performed to ensure its validity and reliability.

The aim of this diploma work was to obtain a review of the appeal process in Sweden under the Planning and Building Act and the possibilities of appeal in the planning and building permit process. The work was intended to identify potential problems surrounding the appeal process and possible efficiency measures. The goal was to form a report that provides a satisfactory overview of the appeal process in theory and practical application as well as provide relevant concrete proposals on how the appeal process can be streamlined.Background and facts surrounding the work were taken from different types of literature and through several interviews with representatives in government, industry and politicians.The main problems related to the appeal process are in the long processing times and the high number of appeals. There is a great interest to streamline the appeals process and the government is going to launch studies in which possible future actions will be investigated.It is possible to appeal for up to two instances before you need a so called ?leave to appeal? in order for your complaint to be passed on to the next instance.
