BAKGRUND: Studierna visar att våldet har ökat med åren. Riskfaktorer och riskbeteenden har identifierats och orsakerna kan vara flera till att patienten upplever ohälsa. Forskningen inom detta fält har hittills fokuserat på bakomliggande orsaker till patientens aggressiva beteende och bedrivits under många år. Ökade kunskaper om sjuksköterskans upplevelse av att vårda patienter med aggressivt beteende inom psykiatrisk vård kan bidra till att utveckla omvårdnad anpassad till situationen, i syfte att främja hälsa.SYFTE: Studiens syfte är att utforska sjuksköterskans omvårdnad och upplevelse av att vårda patienter med aggressivt beteende inom psykiatrisk vård.METOD: Litteraturstudie av kvalitativa och kvantitativa studier.RESULTAT: Analysen resulterade i tre huvudkategorier och 12 underkategorier. Huvudteman som uppkom var;sjuksköterskan i interaktion med patienten, organisatoriska faktorer och personliga faktorer samt underkategorier som handlade om; avledning av hotfulla situationer, personligt utrymme, information och bedömning, gränssättning, riskfaktorer kopplade till aggression, bristande support från chefer, bemanning, personalsäkerhet, erfarenhet och kommunikationsfärdigheter, lojalitet gentemot patienten och arbetet, hopplöshet och besvikelse samt coping.SLUTSATS: Resultatet visar att sjuksköterskor upplever vårdandet av patienter med aggressivt beteende inom psykiatrisk vård på olika sätt.

The aim of this empirical study was to investigate how nurses on a ward within the emergency clinic deal with analgesia prescriptions and the pain management documentation. The used method was divided into chart reviews and qualitative interviews with nurses in clinical practice at the ward. This means that both a qualitative and quantitative approach was desired. The results incline that nurses generally apply to the laws and restrictions surrounding the nursing discipline, as used in pain treatment. Thus they generally fulfill the obligations accounting to documentation.

Bakgrund: HIV/AIDS är idag en sjukdom som varit känd för oss i snart tre decennier. Synen på människor som har HIV har förvisso ändrats. Trots förändringar upplever personer med HIV fortfarande negativa attityder, diskriminering och socialt utanförskap både ute i samhället och inom sjukvården. Vid en närmare granskning av litteraturen visar det sig att attityder och rädslor finns kvar mot personer med HIV även hos sjukvårdspersonal. Syfte: Att undersöka sjuksköterskestudenters attityder till personer med HIV.

The number of students in the program for pupils with intellectual disabilities has drastically increased over the last decades. Most of those pupils, but far from all, are attending special classes. Today approximately 22 % are attending classes in compulsory school. The purpose of this paper is, from a social psychological perspective, to increase the knowledge and understanding of how pupils with intellectual disabilities, partly or fully attending the compulsory main-stream school, experience their school-days. This paper is composed of two case studies for which the empiric material has been collected through interviews and observations.

Death is the only experience we know we will come across in our lives. Yet it is so difficult to speak about death and the sorrow before and after death occurs. The aim of this literature study was to find out how as a general nurse one can help relatives to handle their situation in mourning. The question was: How does the nurse feel when confronted with mourning relatives? What measures and caring should the nurse take to alleviate the handling of the relatives in mourning? After scrutiny and critical analysis of ten scientific papers, some common denominators have remained.

I the year of 2008 there were more than 60 000 purebred dogs newly registered in theSwedish Kennel Club. In addition there are a lot of mixed breed dogs and in the year of2006 it was estimated that there were over 700 000 dogs in Sweden. In today?s society it isnot unusual that people change their life situation by moving, getting a new job or startinga family. Because of this there is a risk of rehoming for dogs owned by these people.In Sweden dogs are among others rehomed by advertising or by rehoming organisations.

Föreliggande uppsats handlar om enhetschefers förtroende för omsorgspersonalen inom hemtjänsten ur enhetschefsperspektiv. Eftersom förtroende är ett begrepp som kan se olika ut beroende på vilket område som undersöks, avgränsas uppsatsens undersökning till att gälla enhetschefers förtroende i samband med förekomsten av omsorgspersonal som stjäl hemma hos brukare. Omsorgspersonals stölder hos brukare av hemtjänst är ett outforskat område, det enda som med säkerhet kan sägas är att det förekommer. Därför har uppsatsen som syfte att undersöka hur enhetschefers förtroendebild och kontrollåtgärder ser ut för att kunna ha förtroende avseende förekomsten av stölder. Teorierna som används för analysen är Uslaner´s teori om moralisk och strategisk tillit och Luhmann´s teoretiska funktionsanalys av förtroende samt Cohen´s och Felson´s rutinaktivitetsteori.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the unaccompanied children's experiences of the support offered at group homes intended for this group. The purpose is also to find out if they feel like the stay at the group home has prepared them for an independent life. The study has a qualitative approach and results collection occurred through semi-structured interviews. Seven young men aged 18-20 years were interviewed, all of them have lived for at least one year in a group home and are now living in their own apartment. The results have shown that the adolescents had both positive and negative experiences from their stay at the group home and that they have different views about whether they have received the support they need to cope independently.

Syftet med litteraturstudien var att undersöka hur buller påverkar sjukhusmiljön med hänseende på vårdpersonal och patienter. Studiens avsikt omfattar även en undersökning av vårdpersonalens och patienters eventuella olika uppfattningar angående buller. Effekterna av buller och dess omfattning inom vårdavdelningsmiljön har också undersökts. Resultatet av studien visar på att bullermiljön på sjukhus överskrider de riktlinjer för buller som WHO fastslagit. Vidare visar studien på indikationer på att brittiska sjuksköterskors kunskap angående fenomenet buller är bristfällig.

The purpose of this essay was to investigate the care personnel's experience, and thoughts concerning the elderlies use of sedatives and sleeping tablets. The purpose was also to make a comparison between different forms of living, in an attempt to find out if the form of living in itself was a factor that affected the use of sedatives and sleeping-tablets.In order to investigate this, the main questions of this essay became:- To what extent do the patients use sedatives and sleeping tablets?- What is the care personnel's experience of, and thoughts about the patients' use of sedatives and sleeping tablets?To obtain answers to my questions I interviewed care personnel working at different types of homes for elderly people and working with elderly people still living at home.I came to the conclusion that where you live may also have an influence on the use of sedatives and sleeping tablets. This could be seen when a group of elderly people lived together, and some of them were suffering from dementia. Then it could happen that the elderly with dementia where given sedatives and sleeping tablets, not just in order to calm them, but also to give the others a better environment to live in..

Bakgrund: Sedan 1990-talet har alkoholkonsumtionen i Sverige ökat och under de senaste tio åren har även alkoholskador och alkoholrelaterad sjukhusvård tilltagit. Att identifiera och ta upp patienters alkoholproblematik ingår i sjuksköterskans arbetsuppgifter men rollen i samtal om alkohol är otydlig och många sjuksköterskor anser sig sakna tillräckligt med kunskap och utbildning för detta.Syfte: Syftet var att belysa de faktorer som påverkar sjuksköterskans samtal med patienter om alkohol.Metod: En litteraturöversikt baserad på fem kvalitativa och sex kvantitativa vetenskapliga artiklar utfördes. Artiklarna söktes i databaserna Cinahl Plus with Fulltext, Google Scholar, Medline, Nursing & Allied Health Source. Deras resultat granskades och analyserades efter likheter och olikheter, vilket resulterade i en sammanställning med nya teman.Resultat: Analysen resulterade i fem teman med faktorer som påverkar samtal om alkohol. Kunskap och utbildning visar att dessa har en positiv effekt på att samtal kring alkohol förs och att majoriteten av alla sjuksköterskor efterfrågar mer kunskap och utbildning.

Unaccompanied children that arrives in Sweden are usually placed in homes for care and residence, called HVB. It is the municipality's responsibility to provide adequate care and protection for the children. The aim of the study is to examine how a workgroup on a HVB home for unaccompanied children is working to meet the needs of the children, and how the workgroup improves the children?s integration process. The study also aims to examine the emotional labour of the workgroup, which illustrates how they can manage their own emotional behavior when working with the unaccompanied children.The study is based on a qualitative approach with detailed descriptions of five semi-structured interviews with the workgroup and assistant managers.

Purpose: The purpose of this qualitative study was to illustrate and analyze the approach and parental involvement of a group of mothers in their children's schooling. Also their reflections on parental involvement will be highlighted and what the parents experience as obstacles in their involvement.Method: I conducted six semi structured interviews for my research. I chose to interview six mothers who have a child in the sixth grade. I chose specifically the sixth grade because the mothers will have had quite a few contacts with the school at this point. I also chose not to reveal their ethnicity because they cannot represent a whole ethnic group anyway.Result: The result of my interviews show that the parents have different approaches when it comes to parental involvement.

As the number of inhabitants increases, the cities expand into the former rural landscape. The urbanization causes changes to the functioning of the peri-urban fringe. Land that previously was used for agricultural production is now used for alternative enterprises, as for example horse keeping and recreation. 75 % of all horses (approx. 200 000) are situated in the peri-urban fringe.

Sjuksköterskornas arbetsvardag bestod av att ofta möta lidande och död hos sina patienter. De behövde i sitt arbete strategier för att hantera sina psykiska och känslomässiga reaktioner. Syftet med arbetet var att undersöka sjuksköterskans reaktioner och bearbetningsmetoder av traumatiska händelser uppkomna i arbetet. Metoden var litteraturstudie. Artiklarna analyserades enligt Evidence Based Nursing (EBN) gjord av Flemming (1998).
