Bakgrund: Den äldre populationen ökar och många av de äldre lider av flera olika sjukdomar. Därmed ökar behovet av professionell och god omvårdnad. Den äldre människan som ofta lider av flera sjukdomar bor vanligtvis sista tiden av sitt liv på vård- och omsorgsboende. Äldre människor vårdas inte utifrån ett palliativt perspektiv trots att behov föreligger. Palliativ vård kopplas ofta ihop med människor som är under 65 år och har en obotlig sjukdom exempelvis cancer.Syfte: Att belysa hur den äldre människan vårdas i livets slut på vård- och omsorgsboende, ur de äldres, de närståendes och vårdpersonalens perspektiv.Metod: En litteraturstudie inspirerad av Friberg (2006).

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka sjuksköterskors respektive undersköterskors syn på god omvårdnad. Studien är av empirisk och kvalitativ karaktär där fyra legitimerade sjuksköterskor och fyra undersköterskor intervjuades och delgav sina uppfattningar. Analysmetoden innehållsanalys valdes och i resultatet presenteras nio stycken huvudkategorier; Ge patienten trygghet, att respektera patientens vilja och individuella behov, basal hygien ? och omvårdnad skall tillgodoses, social samvaro, motivera patienten, kommunikation, empati, hinder, skillnader i uppfattning..

Bakgrund: Hypotermi under kirurgiska ingrepp kan leda till allvarliga komplikationer som bland annat f?rl?ngd l?kemedelseffekt, koagulationsrubbningar, cirkulationsp?verkan och en ?kad infektionsrisk. En viktig del av anestesisjuksk?terskans arbetsuppgifter ?r att ?vervaka och reglera patientens temperatur. Trots detta ?r det en utmaning att h?lla kroppstemperatur inom normalintervallet under generell anestesi, eftersom kroppstemperaturen sjunker under operation.

Studien har utgått från två på förhand troliga dilemman. Det ena dilemmat utgår från skolverkets timplan i förhållande till ämnets kursplan. Problematiken ligger i minst antal garanterade undervisningstimmar i förhållande till en omfattande kursplan.

The overall aim was to examine how the public interest to protect children from violence and sexual abuse at home, is realized by social workers. The study´s central focus was the risk assessments as Social services are obliged to do when they receive a report containing concern that children are being exposed to violence or sexual abuse at home. The study addresses the following questions:o How do social workers go about practically, and what support and knowledge is being used to determine whether the Social services need to intervene for the protection of a child?o What risk and protective factors are taken into account by social workers in the assessment process?o What contextual factors do social workers experience are affecting them in the assessment process?o Which support does the documentation system BBIC provide in the assessment process?The study material was collected through qualitative group interviews, with a modified vignette methodology as tools. The study included a total of twelve social workers, with varying numbers in each interview group.

The aim of my study is to get an idea of how some teachers use homework, what they consider a good homework is, and what considerations they take to the students' home circumstances. I have made a qualitative interview study with four middle school teachers. The results of my study show that teachers can flip the classroom and use so-called preparatory tasks. The time saving aspect is a strong reason they choose that model. That students are able to practice their own responsibility and perform meaningful homework seems to also be in focus, but the biggest reason they use flipped classrooms seems to be because it is a more equivalent homework then traditional homework, and that students and their guardians also appreciate the flipped classroom model as they become more involved in their children's schoolwork..

In recent years the elderly care in Sweden has gone through several structural changes with the main purpose of delivering a more efficient service. The aim of this study is to compare the management control system in a privately and a publicly managed elderly home. A qualitative study was conducted which included interviews, observations of meetings and reviews of relevant documents. To be able to identify possible differences the framework of Hood consisting of seven dimensions was used. An analysis of the selected dimensions showed that the differences in management control were minimal and Brunsson's theory of politicization and 'company-ization' were used to explain why..

Millesgården is a museum on the island of Lidingö outside Stockholm. It contains the buildings which were the home and studios of the artist Carl Milles and his artist wife Olga. It also contains the grounds that originated as the garden of their home. Carl Milles later developed the garden into a sculpture park where a great part of the sculptors works are on display. In this report only the sculpture park is treated.

The purpose of this examination work was to make a general description about drying and storage of grain, and a case study with a comparison between brought and home-made feed. The case study was made on the farm Solhem in Hörby, a farm that produces 3870 pigs for slaughter a year. In this project three alternatives have been compared, 1st alternative: own produced grain approx. 400 ton + wet grain 415 ton purchased during fall, 2nd alternative: own produced grain approx. 400 ton + dry grain 415 ton purchased during winter, 3rd alternative: bought feed 815 ton purchased continuously during the year. The aim of our study is to ascertain whether a hanging suspension fluorescentlamp for a private home environment is going to be attractive for a largeaudience. We want to open up for new uses of fluorescent lamps as lightsources.The main approach in this work is how to design a fixture with fluorescentlamps as a light source that will meet the requirements and requests of thehome environment could look like. At the same time we want to make a newimpression of how a fluorescent light source.Primarily we used a quantitative method, but this was rejected after a pilotstudy. Instead we used a qualitatively based method in the sense that weconducted a group interview as well as individual interviews.Based on data from the interviews and our preliminary work a prototype wasbuilt. This prototype is a fluorescent fixture equipped with 2x14W T5fluorescent lamps, dimmed separately.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur fetma/övervikt påverkar lederna och utveckling av artros och hur sjuksköterskan kan informera, undervisa i förebyggande syfte. Metoden är en litteraturstudie. Tolv vetenskapliga artiklar granskades enl. Polit et al (2001) kriterier för vetenskaplighet. Därefter inleddes analysen där fyra huvudteman framträdde: BMI och påverkan på lederna, Smärtpåverkan vid artros, Genusskillnader vid artros och övervikt samt Sjuksköterskans undervisande roll.

Arbetet handlar om att skapa en mönsterkollektion för Eco-Boråstapeter. Kollektionen består av fem mönster som behandlar struktur, volym, rörelse och rytm. Tapeterna trycks med djuptrycksmetod på slätt bestruket non woven-papper. Målgruppen är unga designintresserade människor. En designprocess utifrån en inspirationsfas redovisas som består av experimentella filmer (Grey Gardens, Gummo och The Brown Bunny) och av fotografier tagna under promenader i Växjö.

People who live in northern part of the world spend much more time indoors than those who live in warmer countries. In addition that home should be safe, it should also protect one against heat, cold, sunlight and pollution. The indoor environment is affected by installations, material and how the building is formed. Those anomalies that are visible, felt or smelled can be noticed and be rectified. But it?s much more difficult if these abilities are missing.

Syfte: Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur omvårdnaden dokumenteras i datoriserad patientjournal på en medicinavdelning i mellan Sverige, genom en journalgranskning med granskningsinstrumentet Cat-ch-Ing. Frågeställningarna var ?Vilka poäng ger Cat-ch-Ing instrumentet avseende kvantitet samt kvalitet?? och ?Kan omvårdnadsprocessen följas i omvårdnadsjournalen utifrån Cat-ch-Ing instrumentet??Metod: Studien är kvantitativ, deskriptiv och retrospektiv. En journalgranskning gjordes med hjälp av granskningsinstrumentet Cat-ch-Ing. Ett systematiskt urval av 100 journaler gjordes och därefter ett slumpmässigt urval av 30 journaler.

The purpose of this scientific essay is to evaluate if a continuous glucose monitoring system is something that can benefit Swedish animal health care. The study investigates if it is medically possible to use continuous glucose monitoring systems on dogs with an apparatus attached to their bodies. Furthermore, I try to establish whether this is possible in practice and how it could be done. The keywords used were diabetes mellitus, insulin, continuous glucose monitoring, blood glucose monitoring, dog, pet owner and animal nursing care. Furthermore, I wanted to find out if this system could be an alternative to currently established methods to measure the patient?s blood glucose level.
