Barnfetma - en fråga av vikt : Skolsköterskors upplevelser och erfarenheter av arbetet med överviktiga barn
AbstractThe aim of the study was to describe how school Nurses experience the work with overweightchildren and youths from the compulsory school to upper secondary school and what kind ofnursing interventions they perform. The study had a descriptive design and ten school Nursesfrom a municipality in the middle of Sweden participated. Data were collected by semistructured interviews and analyzed using qualitative content analysis. The result is presentedin six categories and one theme. The category to identify and investigate describes how theschool Nurses, based on the result from the health interviewing, identified and investigated theoverweight children.

The idea of this study was to critically examine and account for the result found in scientific articles from databases. The aim of this literature review was to investi-gate how Nurses can encounter a bereaved person in a crisis situation. Also the encounter of a person at risk of losing someone. Additionally, we investigated if the nursing staff fulfilled these needs. This literature review foremost addresses registered Nurses.

Background: In 1994 came the general prescription law in force for the district Nurses with specific training in pharmacology and pathology in Sweden. According to The National Board of Health and Welfare from 2004 follow-up of the use of the prescription law revealed that nearly half of the district Nurses used their prescription once a week. According to previous research the district Nurses and patients were positive to the district Nurses administration of prescriptions. Doctors, contrariwise, were not as favorable to the district Nurses administration of prescriptions. The responsibility of the heads of the health centers is to promote the district Nurses to prescribe and make sure that it works in a satisfactory manner.

Background: Prediabetes is caused by relative insulin deficiency and insulin resistance in the body tissue which leads to abnormal blood glucose levels. Prediabetes can over time lead to type 2 diabetes mellitus. To prevent the onset of type 2 diabetes and its complications, it is important to identify early elevated blood glucose levels and thereby prediabetes.Objective: To describe Nurses' knowledge and experience regarding the management of patients with prediabetes.Methods: Qualitative descriptive design with individual interviews. Three Nurses, three community health Nurses and three diabetes Nurses were interviewed.Results: The result can be understood from the Nurses' experiences of encountering patients with prediabetes. An overarching theme in the analysis was that the Nurses are working or aspiring to work preventively.

Background One of the main demands on Swedish and global health care in general is to meet the patient?s need for safety. By general health care law this also comprises district Nurses? field of responsibility. Although there are numerous studies describing the concept of safety and its different shapes, no research could be found exploring how safety is, or supposed to be, mediated by district Nurses? in a Swedish context.

Background:Incoming medical alarm is a common routine for emergency Nurses. Working in these situations may represent a major burden on the individual nurse. Purpose: To investigate emergency room Nurses' experiences in receiving medical alerts focused on education, safety, security, skills and experience, and andherence to guidelines. The purpose was also to investigate whether there were any differences in action between the emergency room Nurses who had worked longer or shorter period than two years with this.Method:The design was quantitative, comparative and descriptive. Surveys were distributed to 30 Nurses who worked in the emergency room at a Swedish hospital.

Background: Moral distress is an increasing concern among Nurses in their workplace. Previous research has suggested that moral distress is associated with ethical climate and job dissatisfaction. Economic restraints in the organization have led to loss of Nurses from the workplace. Aim: To examine Nurses experience of moral distress and their causes. Method: The study was a literature review. Twelve articles were used in the study.

The aim is to describe the factors that influence Nurses' assessment and measurement of pain in patients. Literature study based on 13 reviewed articles, searched in the Cinahl. Qualitative and quantitative articles were analyzed. Six themes were identified that can be seen as the factors that influence Nurses' assessment and measurement. The themes were pain education, Nurses´ experience in the profession, Nurses´ level of knowledge about pain relief, documentation about pain, nurse´s perspective on the patient, and pain measurement.

Background: Long-term stress can lead to reduced health among Nurses which can result in impaired quality of care. Stress in Nurses' work needs to be studied in order to prevent stress and impaired quality of care. Aim: The aim of this study was to describe Nurses' experience of occupational stress and factors that contribute to occupational stress. Method: The method used was a literature review. Results: The analysis resulted in five themes which describe Nurses' experiences of occupational stress and factors that contribute to occupational stress.
Patienters upplevelser av sjuksköterskans bemötande på akutmottagningen : En litteraturstudie
Background:Studies show that when Nurses are experiencing problems in the care of non-Swedish speaking patients, it is often due to obstacles in the communication. Studies also show that a prerequisite for adequate care is that there is a basis for a direct communication. Nurses perceive interpreters as an important link to the patient when they do not share a mutual language, the Nurses perceive interpreters as a bridge in the conversation.Aim:The purpose of the study is to describe Nurses' experiences of the quality of assessments done with the help of an interpreter.Method:The study was conducted through interviews with ten Nurses, working at psychiatric clinics. Qualitative content analysis was used for the analysis, which resulted in five categories.Results:The analysis resulted in one theme: "it´s the interpreter who tells me and have not the feeling that the patient has" and five categories: "shades of the language", "conversation structure", "the interpreter's competence", "interpreting implementing" and "the interpreter's gender and origin". The Nurses experience working with interpreters as a challenge.

Health care is increasingly complex, which increases the demand for knowledge and expertise. Despite this, the share of specialized Nurses, including anaesthesia Nurses, has decreased from 65% to 48% from year 1995 to year 2008, according to statistics from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) in 2010. Studies indicate that there may be various factors in the work environment that anaesthesia Nurses, choose to leave the anaesthesia profession. The purpose of this study was to examine how anaesthesia Nurses experienced the physical and psychosocial work. The study was conducted as a descriptive study with qualitative approach.

Background: Patients who deliberate self harm often feel disappointed with the health care. The consequence of this may be that the patient avoid to seek help after self harming. Nurses' often experience these patients to be difficult and hard to deal with. Both patients' and Nurses' thoughts about the situation may affect the situation in a negative way. A good relationship between the caregiver and patient is important.

The aim of the study has been to gain an increased understanding of the sense of participation and influence that the enrolled Nurses, working with home-help services within the purchaser ? provider model, feel and how this participation and influence affect them. Five enrolled Nurses in three of Stockholm's districts related their experiences of participation and influence at work in the qualitative interviews that were conducted. The result was then analyzed with the help of two theories, Karasek's and Theorell´s Demand- Control Model and Antonovsky's theory regarding ?a Sense of Coherence (SOC)?.

The purpose with this essay is to investigate which factors that are decisive for Nurses? propensity for incident reporting. The study uses a descriptive cross-section design. Included are Nurses that works at a care unit and who have worked as a nurse for > 1than one year. The survey was sent out to all Nurses embraced by the criteria within a subdivision at a hospital in the middle of Sweden.
