Abstract We are two teacher students with an ethnic background and we thought that it could be, exciting to work with subjects, like a multicultural environment in schools and the challenges within this environment for students, but also teachers. In this study, we focus on how the teachers work with bilingual students in a multicultural school. We wanted to get an understanding of the subject and to be able do so, we conducted some qualitative interviews. These interviews went through with teachers currently working at the same public school, teaching in classes from 1-5. Through this qualitative research, we were able to analyse, what the teachers attitude towards multilingualism is and what kind of methods they use organizing their teaching.

Today environmental management systems (EMS) are common documents (more correctly, a combination of documents) that direct, steer and regulate environmental efforts within many companies. The intention of EMS is that its guidelines are reflected in how the employee carries out his everyday work tasks. This study aims to illuminate the attitudes that exist regarding the EMS at ALSTOM Power Sweden. By using questionnaires and interviews as a method to communicate with employees,a study of the existing attitudes regarding the EMS was carried out. The results were analyzed categorically and statistically and show that there are consistent attitudes among employees, but that there are also inconsistent attitudes.

Smärta är ett utbrett omvårdnadsproblem och en av de vanligaste orsakerna till att människor söker sig till sjukvården. Många patienter lider av underbehandlad smärta som ofta kan relateras till en bristande smärtbedömning. Sjuksköterskan har en betydelsefull roll i smärtbedömningen där attityden kan vara en avgörande faktor för om patienten erhåller en adekvat smärtbedömning. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att belysa sjuksköterskors attityder till smärtbedömning i sjukhusmiljö. En systematisk innehållsanalys av fjorton vetenskapliga artiklar genomfördes.

Nurses in municipal nursing homes have difficult to observe and prevent these problems because they do not participate in the daily caring work. The aim of this study was to illustrate the nurse assistants? reflections about the care they gave people with dementia and constipation. Main questions vas how they became aware of such problems and what they did when someone had problem with constipation.

Rätt utförd handhygien är en av de enklaste, mest betydelsefulla och minst kostsamma metoder för att minska spridning av vårdrelaterade infektioner, VRI. Trots omfattande kampanjer för förbättrad handhygien över hela världen för att förhindra VRI är det svårt att uppnå full följsamhet till rekommenderade riktlinjer. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att belysa attityder som kan påverka hälso- och sjukvårdspersonals följsamhet av rekommenderade riktlinjer för handhygien på sjukhus. Litteraturstudien baseras på nio vetenskapliga artiklar som analyserats enligt Lundman och Graneheims (2008) kvalitativa innehållsanalys. Artiklarna har granskats och kvalitetsbedömts utifrån Willman, Stolz och Bahtsevanis (2011) bedömningsmall.

Previous studies have pointed out the potential risks involved with targeting homosexual consumers by using ads with homosexual imagery in mainstream media. Many of these studies have indicated that there may be drawbacks with exposing heterosexuals to these kinds of advertisements. The purpose of this paper is to investigate whether this is true for all groups of heterosexual consumers. An experimental study was carried out to examine the effects of explicit homosexual imagery on a heterosexual group with a generally positive attitude towards homosexuality. Empirical evidence suggests that homosexual imagery does not elicit any negative reactions among these heterosexual consumers.

The most common form of female cancer in Sweden is breast cancer and the primary choice of treatment is surgery. Removing a woman's breasts is not just removing a body part but is also strongly linked to the emotional life. This has psychosocial consequences and the reactions will be different depending on how people perceive health and illness. Factors that matter are both personal experiences and cultural factors such as religion, family, and the own standards and values. It is important that a nurse is aware of cultural factors that may influence the perception of care.

Death can be seen as a sensitive subject and can by that be difficult for many people to talk about. Working as a nurse can imply caring for severe ill and dying patients, which can be regarded as a task that makes great demands. The aim of the present literature review is to illustrate nurses' experiences of problems in association with the care of dying patients to be aware of these. Nine scientific articles were analysed and the result showed that the problems the nurses experienced could be related to four different categories: problems related to organisa-tion/resources, to the nurse herself, to the patient and to family members. The literature review also illustrates consequences of these problems for nurses, and which components that could simplify the nursing care of dying patients..

The aim of this study was trough qualitative interviews with teachers and counsellors in Swedish schools, to study their experiences and perceptions of non suicidal self-injury (NSSI) in adolescents. During the study three teachers and three counsellors who worked in four different schools were conducted. The theoretical approach that was used is Michael Polanyis theory tacit knowledge. The outcome of the study was that schools did not seem to talk about NSSI as a problem and the teachers knowledge about it had come from own experiences meeting adolescents whit NSSI. The interviewed teachers and counsellors felt it hard to define NSSI, they mainly referred it to someone who cut themselves.

SAMMANFATTNING Syftet med denna studie var att ta reda på vad sjuksköterskan upplever som sitt inre etiska ansvar samt lyfta fram och reflektera över den etiska dimensionen i omvårdnaden. Studien är empirisk och grundar sig på en kvalitativ metod med innehållsanalys. Data har samlats in från fyra intervjuade verksamma allmänsjuksköterskor. Forskningen anknyter till Katie Erikssons omvårdnadsteori samt till Iréne von Post. Etiken hos de intervjuade sjuksköterskorna förknippades till stor del utifrån ett medicinskt perspektiv.

Bakgrund: Borderline personlighetsstörning är en vanlig sjukdom på alla vårdinrättningar och många sjuksköterskor möter dessa patienter dagligen. I omvårdnaden av dessa patienter behöver sjuksköterskan använda sig av dagliga händelser för att försöka lära patienten att lita på andra människor. Sjuksköterskans uppgift är att försöka lotsa patienten genom vardagen. Syfte: Syftet med studien är att belysa sjuksköterskors upplevelser av att möta personer med borderline personlighetsstörning.Metod: Metoden som använts är en litteraturöversikt där vetenskapliga artiklar använts som grund för resultatet. Resultat: Resultatet visar att många sjuksköterskor önskar mer kunskap om störningen och de tror att många av de problem som omger patienten beror på hur organisationen och strukturen på avdelningen fungerar. Sjuksköterskorna skulle vilja ha bättre struktur på hur de ska vårda dessa patienter och vill att arbetsplatsen ska ha samma mål med omvårdnaden. Syfte:Syftet med litteraturstudien var att beskriva sjuksköterskors upplevelser av att vårda patienter i livets slutskede på sjukhusavdelningar.Metod:Beskrivande litteraturstudie som baserades på tretton vetenskapliga artiklar. Data inhämtades från databaserna Cinahl och Pubmed.Resultat:Att vårda patienter i livets slut på sjukhusavdelningar är en komplex situation. Sjuksköterskorna beskrev både upplevelser av tillfredsställelse och närhet samtidigt som de kunde känna sig otillräckliga. Relationer till patienter och närstående var betydelsefulla men en distansering var nödvändig för att behålla en professionell yrkesidentitet. Faktorer som påverkade upplevelserna var rädsla för den egna döden, tidigare erfarenheter, tidsbrist och den rumsliga miljön på avdelningarna.

Aim: The aim of the study was to investigate attitude and practice to prescribe physical activity accordingly FaR® rules among personal at the specialized department of the University Hospital. Methods: A quantitative cross-sectional study was used to answer the purpose. The data were collected using specially designed questionnaire. That contained 11 questions related to interest and complications to use FaR® as a treatment method. A total of 38 individuals participated in the study.

The aim of this Masters thesis is to examine the view of market-led culture, focusing on literature, within Swedish governmental cultural policy. The main issue is to discover changes in attitude towards cooperation between culture and business by comparing the attitudes and ideas expressed in the governmental policy documents from the 1970s with the governmental policy documents from the 1990s. To illuminate, and with an effort to explain, these attitudes and ideas expressed in the documents their political and social context has been studied as well. The theoretical starting point is two political ideologies, and Danish cultural policy researcher Dorte Skot-Hansens theories of cultural policy in the Nordic countries. The methodological starting point is two variants of analyses that are textual ones.
