Att möta döden En litteraturstudie som belyser sjuksköterskors upplevda problem, dess följder samt underlättande faktorer i omvårdnaden av döende patienter
Death can be seen as a sensitive subject and can by that be difficult for many people to talk about. Working as a nurse can imply caring for severe ill and dying patients, which can be regarded as a task that makes great demands. The aim of the present literature review is to illustrate nurses' experiences of problems in association with the care of dying patients to be aware of these. Nine scientific articles were analysed and the result showed that the problems the nurses experienced could be related to four different categories: problems related to organisa-tion/resources, to the nurse herself, to the patient and to family members. The literature review also illustrates consequences of these problems for nurses, and which components that could simplify the nursing care of dying patients..
Svårigheter och möjligheter i mötet mellan sjuksköterska och patient med övervikt eller fetma. : En litteraturöversikt
Fetma är ett ökande folkhälsoproblem runt om i världen. Sjuksköterskan har som uppgift att förebygga ohälsa hos patienter. Genom att veta patienternas svårigheter och möjligheter underlättar det mötet med sjuksköterskan. Men samtidigt måste sjuksköterskan vara medveten om sina attityder för att skapa en bra relation genom att samtala. Syftet är att beskriva svårigheter och möjligheter som kan påverka mötet mellan sjuksköterskor och patienter med övervikt eller fetma.
Support by a nurse to parents with a colic infant
Every six baby that is born gets colic. It means that the child cries for at least three hours three days a week. For the child?s parents this is one big strain and feelings like despair, helplessness and isolation are common. The nurse?s task is to support the parents through respectful and empathic actions in order to relieve sufferings and increase their feelings of confidence.

ABSTRACTBackground: After general anesthesia the cognitive ability is temporarily impaired. Cognitive recovery is necessary for the patient to be able to assimilate the information that she / he gets postoperatively. It also increases the patient safety. There are few methods to estimate and assess the patient's cognitive recovery before and after anesthesia. The purpose of this study is to test the usefulness of the instrument PQRS and to assess the patients cognitive recovery after anesthesia.

The nurse should respond to the patient's care needs, knowledge of social support for young people with chronic diseases is therefore important. The purpose was to investigate who or which ones provide social support for young people with chronic diseases and what social support contributes to. A descriptiv design where used. The literature search in the database Medline via Cinahl resulted in twelwe articles.
Bevarandet av patientens autonomi vid palliativ vård utifrån ett etiskt perspektiv
Background: More focus has been placed towards autonomy when it comes to care and in special towards palliative care. The purpose with palliative care is to relieve and support at the end of the life. When the patient has difficulties to communicate to those around him due to his illness it is hard to preserve the patients right of self-determination. It is very important to consider the patient as autonomous during the course of the illness. Different alternatives have been developed to preserve the patient?s autonomy such as dedicate a deputy or plan the care of the patient in advance.Aim: The aim of this study was to describe, from an ethical point of view, how the patient?s autonomy could preserved at palliative care.Method: A general literature study where 11 scientific articles have been analysed from a qualitative checklist whereof the result has been discussed based on the principles of ethics.
Dialyssjuksköterskors erfarenheter och upplevelser av långvariga vårdrelationer inom dialyssjukvården
Bakgrund Inom dialyssjukvården möts dialyssjuksköterskor och patienter regelbundet flera gånger varje vecka, kanske under flera år. Detta medför många möten där relationer uppstår.Syfte Att beskriva dialyssjuksköterskors upplevelser och erfarenheter av långvariga vårdrelationer med personer med kronisk njursjukdom som kräver hemodialysbehandling.Metod Tolv dialyssjuksköterskor i Mellansverige intervjuades. Kvalitativ innehållsanalys genomfördes.Resultat Tillfredsställelsen av långa vårdrelationer med dialyspatienter berikar dialyssjuksköterskan både professionellt och som person. Möten med patienter under lång tid ger många positiva känslor och det är roligt att få följa patienternas utveckling. Upplevelsen av Komplexiteten i långa vårdrelationer, att möta och nötas mot samma patienter över lång tid, ibland över flera år kunde upplevas utmanande att i professionen hantera dessa på ett bra sätt.
När kommunikationen inte räcker till : verbal och ickeverbal kommunikation mellan patient med afasi och sjuksköterska
Afasi kan drabba både talförmågan och förståelsen för språket. Språket blir på så vis en utmaning för sjuksköterskan. Enligt hälso- och sjukvårdslagen ska sjuksköterskan skapa förutsättningar för patienten till att vara delaktig i sin vård och i kommunikationen. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att belysa faktorer som påverkar verbal- och ickeverbal kommunikation mellan patient med afasi efter stroke och sjuksköterskan. Uppsatsen är utformad som en litteraturstudie, där resultatets elva artiklar har hämtats från databaserna Cinahl och PubMed.
Anestesisjuksköterskans upplevelse av sitt yrke
AbstractAim: The purpose of this study was to gain a deeper knowledge of how nurse anesthetists feel about their own profession. It was hoped that by gaining a deeper understanding of how the nurse anesthetist is experiencing its own profession, it will create better conditions for development and evolution of the nurse anesthesia profession and skills. Method: for the study a qualitative approach was used in which ten anesthesia nurses were interviewed, aged 27-55 years, four men and six women participated in the study. The interviews were processed and analyzed based on qualitative content analysis. As a theoretical framework Patricia Benner seven skill domains was used.
Aspekter på sjukgymnasters bemötande av patienter: intervjuer med tre patienter och en sjukgymnast
The aim of the study was to investigate the importance of the interaction between the physiotherapist and the patient. Semistructured interviews were carried out with three patients and one physiotherapist. A qualitative design with content analysis was used. The data analysis led to classification of four categories. These were communication, confidence, expectations and participation.
Sjuksköterskors implicita attityder gentemot patienter med missbruksproblem
Patienter med missbruksproblem upptar mycket av hälso- ochsjukvårdens platser och resurser. Det är därmed viktigt attsäkerställa att dessa patienter får god vård och belysa vilkafaktorer som kan inverka på omvårdnaden. Syftet var att belysasjuksköterskors attityder gentemot patienter medmissbruksproblem samt att beskriva hur mötet mellansjuksköterskor och dessa patienter ser ut. Det användes 17vetenskapliga artiklar som grund för detta arbete varav 11 varkvantitativa och sex var kvalitativa. Det framkom attsjuksköterskor ofta uppvisade negativa attityder gentemot patientermed missbruksproblematik och detta inverkade på omvårdnadenav patienterna.

Sjuksköterskors upplevelse av stress i arbetsmiljön
Studies have shown that stress is common in the nursing profession.Purpose: The aim was to investigate nurses' experience of stress in the work environment at the University Hospital in Uppsala and how nurses deal with this stress and whether the perceived stress experienced affect patient safety and in what way. Method: The study had a descriptive, qualitative design based on nine interviews. The selection criteria for the study was that participants were nurses and that they had worked at least one year within the profession and that they had experienced stress in their work environment. Data from the interviews was analyzed using the qualitative content analysis method by Graneheim and Lundman. Results: The analysis resulted in three categories: "Stress in the workplace?, "stress management" and "patient safety? and showed that all participants had experienced stress repeatedly in their workplaces.

Background: Studies showed differences in attitudes towards patients with mental illness in nurses who worked in somatic care compared to nurses who worked in psychiatric care. The nurses in somatic care stated more negative attitudes to mental illness in relation to the nurses in psychiatric care. Studies also showed that work experience affected attitudes towards mental illness. Nurses who often came in contact with people with mental illness had less negative attitudes and prejudices against mental illness. Aim: The aim was to examine the experiences from nurses in somatic care, caring for patients who also have a psychiatric diagnosis.

Background: Sweden is one of many countries which have a long history of immigration during the past decades. Each yearSweden receives numerous immigrants from different parts of the world, which has madeSweden to a multi-culture country.Aim: The aim was to describe nurses? experiences of encounters with patients from different cultures.Method: A literature-based study based on qualitative research, nine scientific articles were performed.Result: The analysis of the data resulted in four themes such as; insufficient communication, family members as a link to the patient, unfamiliar situation, and attentive to the patients? vulnerability with seven subthemes.Conclusion: For a well functioning encounter between nurse and patient from different cultures, a prerequisite is that the nurses establish a relationship based on good communication with the patient and relatives. This can prevent inequality, suffering based on lack of nursing, violation and misunderstandings..
