The scarcity of qualified forest machine operators as well as the increased competition for competent machine operators among others from the mining industry in Norrland, were the reasons to investigate what attracts and what deters active and potential forest machine operators to the occupation. An interview study was conducted among four groups with four persons in each group. The groups were students in year 1 and 3 respectively at a forestry school at upper secondary school level as well as employees of a forest company and employees of contractors. The majority of all respondents were of the opinion that their interests in machines had been important for the choice of occupation. But for the active machine operators both the interest in the forest and their interest for machines have had importance for choosing this occupation.

The aim of this study is to examine the collection One Thousand and One Nights (also: The Arabian Nights) from a european perspective, by comparing different european translations. The study focuses on three translations into Swedish from different periods of time and how the tales have changed in the translation process - depending on the prevailing line of approach and Western perceptions of Eastern standards. The thesis of the study is that Eastern culture, from a Western perspective, has been seen as exotic and different but not as a high literary culture and that this view has affected the translations into european languages. The study shows, among other things, that Western culture is many times considered normative in the translations and that the translators often give their own voices a prominent role, also that common Western notions of the East affects the translations.The word ?orientalism? is used frequently in the study and it refers primarily to the image of the Orient as it is described in Edward Saids' book Orientalism: as a Western construction whose main purpose is to strengthen its own conception of the Orient and thereby strengthen the Western identity as better than the Orient.

Inom bibliotekens verksamhet har studerats fakta gällande bokbestånd,utlåning, ekonomi, inköp, donationer, bibliotekariernas ställning m m.Hvitfeldtska inrättades 1647 och medverkade till försvenskningen av nya landområden.Skolans betydande bokraritetssamling stammar från samma tid. Under 1700-taletblir biblioteket även offentligt (det första i Göteborg).

Bakgrund: Nya tekniska lösningar för att intubera patienter börjar bli tillgängliga för operationsavdelningar. Glidescope är ett videolaryngoskop som visar lovande resultat när det gäller underlättande av intubationer för personal framförallt vid svåra luftvägar och intubationer. Forskningen pekar på att Glidescope reducerar antalet intubationsförsök och ökar andelen lyckade förstagångsintubationer. Studier pekar på att det för patienten är fördelaktigt med så få intubationsförsök som möjligt.Syfte: Att undersöka anestesipersonals erfarenheter av att arbeta med Glidescope.Metod: Semistrukturerade individuella intervjuer genomfördes med nio anestesisjuksköterskor och två läkare. En kvalitativ beskrivande ansats med en kvalitativ innehållsanalys som analysmetod har använts.

AbstractThis thesis discusses and analyses a 19th century female author's vanishing from history. The study investigates social relationships as figured and described in the epistolary form, based on letters between the author herself and different members of her family. It also tries to identify the author's position and situation in her time and society according to important themes and motifs in her novels. The main purpose is not to reconstruct history, but rather to show the many complex histories that can also be described, apart from the simplified and generalized one. The aim of this study is to, from a post-structuralist perspective, analyze the position of author Marianne Lundegård-Hagberg, and her role as a performative, discursive person that history forgot..

The purpose of this Masters thesis is to investigate and describe the literary life of Madame de Staël, during the period of the French Revolution and the time shortly after. My intention is to do research on her impact and influence. I also want to examine her effect on Swedish literary society, with special references to Swedish authors. The method used is a qualitative one, where I have studied nonfiction and fiction connected with the field, for example Mme de Staëls own writings, which I make use of to illustrate the phenomena. During this period the society was dominated by patriarchical values and patterns of life.

The interest for Austen comes from the ?Austen movies? I?ve seen the latest year. AIM AND FRAMING OF QUESTIONS My aim has been to compare the contents in the dialogues with the fact in the biographies. The questions are:What do the dialogues say about the convention, the behaviour, manners and the form of address? What does it say about young men and women and about the marriage? Are the dialogues supported by the content in the biographies? Did Jane Austen really write realistic? METHOD AND MATERIAL The method was to read the novels and then the biographies.

Det arbete sjuksköterskan utför inom dagens hälso- och sjukvård har sin grund i det yrke som växte fram under 1800-talet. En förändring har skett från en mer underordnad roll till dagens yrke som omvårdnadspecialist. Sjuksköterskans omvårdnadsuppgifter består av många olika kompetenser där gemensam nämnare är arbete utifrån den enskilde patienten. En helhetsbild av sjuksköterskan arbete borde även inkludera hur detta arbete är fördelat. Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur sjuksköterskans omvårdnadsarbete är fördelat över dygnets 24 timmar.

This bachelor?s thesis studies Carl Str?mbergs ?ppeltr?dg?rd, a private garden consisting of a large number of apple trees and varieties. The garden is located outside ?rebro, in N?rke, and is owned by a unit owner association whose goal is to preserve and determine the varieties. Through interviews, articles, site visits and documents from Carl Str?mberg, the purpose have been to get an understanding of who Carl Str?mberg was, how he collected the apple varieties and how that process was affected by the climate amongst apple growing and pomology during that time.

Bakgrund. Av alla förgiftningsfall per år vårdas ca 15% av dessa på en intensivvårdsavdelning. De alkohol- och drogintoxikerade patienterna kunde ibland ställa höga krav på intensivvårdssjuksköterskorna, både det medicinska men även det psykosociala omhändertagandet. Tidigare studier har visat att samhällets och sjuksköterskans attityder mot dessa patienter kan påverka omhändertagandet och att patienterna är i vissa fall mycket psykiskt påfrestande för personalen.Syfte. Syftet med studien var att beskriva intensivvårdssjuksköterskors erfarenheter av att omhänderta alkohol och drogintoxikerade patienter.Design.

This essay is intended to illustrate the norms and values which can be deduced from the notifier Catarina Andersdotter and recorded by Gunnar-Olof Hyltén-Cavallius. Reflects the legends of the peasant culture and life during the later part of 1700´s and early 1800´s.                      In the background material, I have assumed the following conditions of life; faith, love, work and children. Since Hyltén-Cavallius is our filter between us and the notifier, I have examined his life and incorporated events that may be of interest of the essay. Catarina Andersdotter´s life is described in the essay to show the factors and living conditions in her life that influenced her choice of stories.                      The environment of the commons over time period is described for the purpose of the variables of the legends. Legends have been qualitatively and quantitatively investigated.                      The essay shows that most of the legends deal with mytical world and its creatures as well as the interaction with humans.

I denna uppsats undersöker jag om Reggio Emilia filosofin utgör en inspirationskälla bland pedagoger på svenska traditionella förskolor. I en jämförande textanalys mellan förskolans läroplan och Reggio Emilias filosofi framkom att förskolans läroplan är inspirerad av denna filosofi, bland annat genom införandet av pedagogisk dokumentation. Jag har intervjuat fyra pedagoger från fyra olika förskolor där inspirationen av denna filosofi har varit av olika grad. Intervjuerna är gjorda i två mellanstora städer, de tre första i Norrland och den fjärde i östra Mellansverige. Samtliga förskolor står i kontakt med ett utvecklingscenter för förskola som i sig inspireras av filosofin från Reggio Emilia.

Medborgarsammanslutningar har funnits i Sverige sedan 1800-talet och delas upp i folkrörelser, som är av mer ideell karaktär, och intresseorganisationer som sätter de egna medlemmarnas bästa i första rummet. Medborgerligt deltagande i det politiska systemet motiveras med att demokratin ökar då medborgarna tillåts uttrycka sina åsikter. Det svenska systemet har länge präglats av en hög grad av korporatism där medborgarsammanslutningar i hög grad har inkorporerats inom kommunalt och statligt beslutsfattande. Idag talas det dock allt oftare om att det svenska systemet håller på att förändras, att det pågår en avkorporatisering. Enligt många forskare håller det svenska samhället på att ersättas av en växande pluralism där medborgarsammanslutningarnas starka band till staten löses upp.

During the late 19: th century the park Tivoli in Halmstad, today called Norre Katts park, was known as one of the most beautiful amusementparks of southern Sweden. This is a description that hardly anyone would use to portray the park today. The aim of this study is therefore to investigate what the park once looked like and how it has changed until today?s neglected state. The history of the place and by who and for whom the park with; 4 ½ acers with meandering paths, caves, an avenue, leaf halls and bowers, was created. Who designed the park in the year of 1843 is an unrequited question.

Uppsatsen utgår från ett historiematerialistiskt perspektiv för att studera Tågerup. Tågerup är en stenåldersboplats i Skåne, öster om Landskrona. På platsen har det funnits Kongemose- och Ertebøllekultur. Uppsatsens frågeställningar är: Hur såg arbetsuppdelningen mellan kvinnor och män ut? Hur var familjerna sammansatta?Finns det några skillnader mellan hur historiematerialister tolkar arbetsuppdelningen och de sociala relationerna jämfört med de arkeologer som har arbetat med Tågerup?De historiematerialistiska teorierna utgår dels från Marx och Engels och dels från arkeologer och antropologer som har vidareutvecklat deras teorier.
