Although I myself haven?t been bullied per say during my school years. I?ve sure been teased and occasionally felt left out. On the other hand ? who hasn?t? And that as well is my point.

Surrogacy is an arrangement in which a woman carries, delivers, and then relinquishes a baby to commissioning parents. The arrangement challenges traditional Norms and definitions of reproduction, pregnancy and motherhood, and at the same time raises difficult ethical, philosophical and social questions. There is currently an ongoing debate in Sweden, where all forms of surrogacy is illegal. The debate is polemical and harsh, with advocates arguing that surrogacy is defensible on the basis of individual rights and women's right to choose over their own bodies, and those in opposition are convinced on an intersectional basis that women are being used and exposed on the market of surrogacy.The purpose of this study is to investigate the debate on surrogacy in the Swedish context. Using qualitative text analysis, the study aims to increase understanding about the debate over surrogacy by analyzing texts published in Swedish press during 2010-2013.

Organizational democracy has been a popular research area in recent decades but the implementation in real organizations is slow (Kokkinidis, 2012; Verdorfer, Weber, Unter Rainer & Seyr, 2013). Several researchers (Schön Jansson, 2012; Falkheimer, Heide & Johansson, 2013) argue that communication practitioners have a key role in democratic processes and that because their job role is under constant change there are only a few modern studies regarding the subject. The purpose of this study is to illustrate how communication practitioners in private and public organizations experience their role in the process of internal communication and to what extent they are aware of, and work with internal organizational democracy.The practitioners we interviewed had a strong feeling that they were a support function for the business and the organizational management. As a result of the study it is clear that communication practitioners are very loyal to their employers and to the organization they work for. They are, therefore, not neutral in their professional role and argue that their task is to represent the management's interests.

The essence of literature ? it?s voice, it?s meaning? has always been scrutinized of interest to readers and theorists. The language in itself has the power to revolt against and undermine current and dominant hierarchies. This language can also be of a passive nature, accepting existing Norms and dichotomies. This paper has the ambition to examine the language, the voice, of Clarice Lispector in her novel A Hora da Estrela (The Hour of the Star).The theoretical horizon from which I will read The Hour of the Star is that of Hélène Cixous, which can be expressed through the term écriture féminine.

The specific task of this thesis is to illustrate the complexity of a cooperation between civilian and military entities by examining Provincial Reconstruction Teams (PRTs) and their role as an actor among others in the field in a war-torn Afghanistan.By using counterinsurgency strategy as an analytical framework it has been possible to examine the civilian and military contexts closer. Underlying structures concerning the Norms and interpretation of reality of the PRTs has been partly revealed. Studies of the PRTs as one significant bearers of "the comprehensive approach", which includes a holistic approach regarding the use of civilian and military capabilities, new conclusions can be drawn on whether a general civil-military approach can be a part of the solution for current and future conflicts. Based on the counterinsurgency strategy, the author has identified three themes as bearing and thus appears through the thesis as a foundation. These are Coordination, Development and Security.

Inom fältet för översättningsstudier har det traditionellt varit ett angeläget forskningsområde att erhålla kunskap om hur man hanterat samma källtext i olika kulturella kontexter. På våren år 1950 utkom en spansk översättning av den finske författaren Mika Waltaris historiska roman, Sinuhe egyptiläinen (Sinuhe egyptiern), och senare samma år, i Mexiko, nyöversattes verket för Latinamerika som en respons på den första. Föreliggande uppsats är en fallstudie och har genomförts i syfte att undersöka på vilket sätt och varför detta originalverks två översättningar på samma språk skiljer sig åt. Översättningarna har jämförts parallellt med dess källtext och studerats kontrastivt genom en kombination av kvantitativ och kvalitativ analys med hjälp av shift som teoretiskt verktyg. Resultaten av denna fallstudie visar att översättningarna skiljer sig åt i vissa innehållsmässiga aspekter och att dessa skillnader med all sannolikhet härrör från de samhälleliga politiska kontexter där de producerats.

En kvalitativ studie med utgångspunkt i den ohälsa som är dokumenterad bland hbt-ungdomar där skolan pekas ut som en betydande arena. Syftet var att undersöka hur gymnasieskolor i förhållande till för skolan rådande styrdokument valde att konkretisera det förebyggande arbetet med värdegrundsfrågor kopplade till sexualitet och könsidentitet/-uttryck samt undersöka skolkuratorers attityder, normer och upplevelser i förhållande till detta arbete. Empirin bestod av en fokusgruppsintervju med skolkuratorer samt en litteraturstudie med grund i ett urval av likabehandlingsplaner. Slutsatser blev att heteronormativitet präglar skolkuratorers arbete med dessa frågor och att det förebyggande arbetet ej upplevs prioriterat. Avseende transpersoner aktualiseras detta i relation till att diskrimineringsgrunden könsöverskridande identitet och uttryck ej hade ett omfattande skydd av diskrimineringslagen.

Nätkränkningar är ett växande problematiskt fenomen i dagens samhälle. Många ungdomar upplever att de blir kränkta på sociala medier, både av bekanta och icke bekanta personer. Studien syftar till att lyfta fram hur motstridiga normer kan tänkas ha en inverkan på ungdomars resonemang kring nätkränkningar och bygger på fem fokusgruppintervjuer med ungdomar. Resultatet visar att ungdomarna anser att alla har valfrihet kring vilka selfies de publicerar på sociala medier, samtidigt som de som utsatts för nätkränkningar ibland får skylla sig själva. Friheten som ungdomarna anser att alla har rätt till är inte alltid på lika villkor eller förbehållslös, det tycks finnas olika normer för olika personer, bland annat killar och tjejer.

The National Arts Council[1] has made an evaluation on obstacles and success factors for the interaction between culture and school. In the evaluation report they concluded that teachers and cultural workers have different views on culture and knowledge which creates confusion in their interaction. Thus I became interested to investigate teachers and cultural workers views on culture, aesthetics, and the knowledge that they think the students / children / young people should get from culture and aesthetics. This work is based on qualitative interviews with four teachers and four cultural workers. I compare their views with each other and link it to different research perspectives on culture and aesthetics in school to get an understanding of the similarities and differences in their approach, and what implications it can have in the school?s learning processes. In this work, from a didactic point of view, I found that when the teachers and cultural workers are talking about culture, the why-perspective differs.

Denna studie syftar till att undersöka nyblivna föräldrars upplevelser rörande användandet av förlossningsbrev. Föräldrar intervjuade till denna studie valde att skriva eller inte skriva ett förlossningsbrev. Blivande föräldrar som valde att inte skriva ett förlossningsbrev gjorde detta på grund av att de ansåg att brevet skulle styra in dem i en specifik riktning, samt att det inte hjälper att försöka kontrollera något som är utom deras kontroll. Föräldrar som valde att skriva ett förlossningsbrev gjorde detta eftersom de hade specifika önskemål som frångick den norm som styr förlossningen. Även kvinnor som utryckt någon form av förlossningsrädsla valde att skriva ett förlossningsbrev.Under studiens gång har fokus även riktats mot att undersöka andra förberedelser inför förlossningen.

In order to achieve the purpose of the study, the following research question was created: How do individuals with leadership roles experience the influences of the organization's structure and culture on their formal leadership? The theoretical starting point is Weber's organization theory, Schein's organizational culture theory, and different definitions of leadership.

The radio is a medium we often listen to whilst doing something else. We wake up, do the dishes, cook or drive to work. Radio as a medium reaches many people, regardless of whether it is through conscious or unconscious listening. We thereby thought it was an important medium to scrutinize in our study. The focus of our study is on the gender representation in P3 Nyheters broadcasts.

Aim Capoeira is a sport and art form strongly associated with the Brazilian culture. The main aim of the study was to examine how the capoeira is introduced into the Swedish society. Also to study the practitioners and trainers experience around the culture meeting. The questions were the following: What differences and similarities exist within capoeira in Sweden and Brazil? How are Swedish practitioners and trainers from a Western culture affected by the culture meeting? How are the Brazilian coaches in Sweden affected by the culture meeting? Is there a Culture crash between the Brazilian and Western cultures in capoeira? MethodQualitative interviews were chosen as an approach because it was considered appropriate in terms of the purpose and questions of the study.
