Försvarsmaktens ska kunna hantera risker då det är en normal del av verksamheten. Det gällersåväl vid nationell övnings- och utbildningsverksamhet som vid internationella insatser avutlandsstyrkan. Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att beskriv och till del förklarar hurFörsvarsmakten hanterar risker som personalen i utlandsstyrkan kan utsättas för vid sintjänstgöring. För analysen av beslutsprocessen och riskhanteringen har Bolman och Deal Nyaperspektiv på organisation och ledarskap används. Metoden som sedan har använts är endokument och intervjustudie som omfattar svenska bataljoner som tjänstgjort i Kosovo under åren2001 till 2004.Resultatet visar på att Försvarsmakten styr riskhanteringen genom en för ändamålet rationell ochlämplig metod.

The problem of separating a non-rectangular foreground image from a background image is a classical problem in image processing and analysis, known as matting or keying. A common example is a film frame where an actor is extracted from the background to later be placed on a different background. Compositing of these objects against a new background is one of the most common operations in the creation of visual effects. When the original background is of non-constant color the matting becomes an under determined problem, for which a unique solution cannot be found. This thesis describes a framework for computing mattes from images with backgrounds of non-constant color, using Bayesian statistics.

SAMMANFATTNINGBakgrund: Att utbilda sig till sjuksköterska är inte bara en utbildning som slutförs och sedan står där en färdig sjuksköterska, det är en process för många och det händer olika saker som också förändrar sjuksköterskestudenten som människa. Vårdandet av den döende patienten förändrar studentens attityd till vårdandet och studenterna önskar att utbildning i palliativ vård bör ligga med i grunden av sjuksköterskeutbildningen. Studenterna skall kunna förstå både patienten och omvårdnadsprocessen vilket är målet med den verksamhetsförlagd utbildning (VFU). Om inte studenten är väl förberedd inför mötet med den döende patienten, finns risken att studenten undviker dessa möten. De beskriver känslor så som ångest och frustration i samband med palliativ vård.

Scrapie is an infectious neurologic disease in sheep caused by prions, corresponding to transmissible spongiform encephalopathies (TSEs) in other species. The prion is presumably constituted of PrPSc, the misfolded form of the normal endogenous prion protein, PrPC, which is found in practically all cells in the body. PrPSc can induce a conformational change in PrPC and misfold it as an imprint of itself; this is how prions amplify and spread. The process of conformational change is poorly understood and there might exist intermediate forms between PrPC and PrPSc. Bioassay using mice has traditionally been the golden standard in prion studies but is limited by cost and time.

The main aim of this study is to determine whether the monastery in Ny Varberg has been used as a hospital during its active years. The second aim has been to investigate weather the buried individuals at the monastery at Ny Varberg exclusively are deceased monks. Only individuals from the monastery's active years has been included in this study. A total of 16 inhumated individuals was analysed. Both men, women and children was shown to be present, as well as wide spread of children and adults.

Thesis purpose: The purpose of the master thesis is to analyse the battle of meaning creation regarding the notion of smoking and to reveal the production of unequal power relations. The battle is fought by different stakeholders through means of language and the study focuses on the tobacco industry in Germany. Methodology: A critical discourse analysis is applied with a qualitative research strategy. Our data collection was inspired by grounded theory and is limited in scope through a relevant case within the context of smoking in Germany. Empirical data is collected by means of an internet based document study of publicly available texts.

Både över- och undersedering kan öka riskerna för både morbiditet och mortalitet. Genom att ge rätt sederingsnivå till patienterna kan intensivvårdssjuksköterskor medverka till ett snabbare tillfrisknande och mindre vårdrelaterade komplikationer. Sedering är en viktig del i vården av respiratorpatienter och kräver stor kunskap hos intensivvårdssjuksköterskor. Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur intensivvårdssjuksköterskor upplevde omvårdnaden kring lätt sederade intensivvårdspatienter under respiratorbehandling. Uppsatsen är en kvalitativ studie och datainsamling genomfördes med hjälp av intervjuer med sex intensivvårdssjuksköterskor på en intensivvårdsavdelning i Västra Sverige.

This report has Värnamo municipality as principal and shall clarify what the estate owner in general and Värnamo municipality in particular need to know about this law. Another part that is going to be dealt with is how large the future need for energy experts in this field will be, and which competence that will be demanded for them.The work will in general deal with simplified energy declarations for apartment houses and public buildings, since these buildings are the first to be involved with energy declarations.The energy declaration will consist of a number of important components.? Energy power i.e. how much energy the building consume? If the ventilation control is done? If the radon measurement is carried out? Recommendations of measures to improve the energy power? Reference value to compare the buildings energy power againstAccording to the law the declaration shall been made by an independent expert, which will need certain information for this.

Media has a big impact on our lives and is one of the main channels for people to recieve information. When recieved, the messages creates a meaning for the people that read, hear or see them. In other words, media could be seen as a source for people on how to perceive the world and it gives a certain picture of what is ?normal?. We chose to do this study to get a deeper knowledge of how men and women are being portrayed in a Swedish lifestyle magazine and what messagest that sends out to the readers.In this study we have examined how men and women are being portrayed in the Swedish magazine Café, both in photographs and in text.

Since their invention in 1999, CubeSats have become a widespread standard for small picosatellite missions. CubeSats allow for quick development of satellite payloads and launch in space without the high costs of a normal satellite. Emphasis during the CubeSat design process is placed on use of commercialoff- the-shelf (COTS) components and reuse of previously-designed units.This report describes the interfacing of a scientific magnetometer, the Small Magnetometer in Low-Mass Experiment (SMILE) to such a CubeSat mission, the Space Weather using Ion spectrometers and Magnetometers (SWIM). Design of a complete platform for use in multiple such missions is presented here.Modularity is one of the key aspects followed in the course of the work. A new board containing the analog pick-up and compensation circuitry for SMILE has been designed to fit inside a CubeSat frame.

Campylopus introflexus is a moss species that originates from the southern hemisphere and has spread worldwide during the 20th century. Today it is classified as an invasive alien species in many countries, and it has been seen during inventories that it has become widespread in Sweden as well. The purpose of this essay is to contribute to new knowledge about how this moss affects species diversity on Calluna heathlands in Sweden. The study includes both fieldwork and an analysis of scientific literature on the subject, and the question that is answered is if C. introflexus has an impact on species richness in the heather peat.

Detta gör Fogo till en av de mest aktiva vulkanerna på jorden.Fogos lavor är viktiga att studera för att få en förståelse för vulkanensmagmasystem och förhindra framtida katastrofer. Lavorna är mörka ochinnehåller mycket fenokryster utav olivin och clinopyroxen, och i enstakaprover hittas apatit (inneslutningar i pyroxener) och amfibol. Denpetrografiska undersökningen tyder på att lavorna är basaniter ellermelanonefeliniter.
