Syftet med uppsatsen var att undersöka socialsekreterares förståelse av mäns våld mot kvinnor i nära relationer utifrån dels deras föreställningar om våldsutövande män och våldsutsatta kvinnor och dels vilka perspektiv eller teorier som kommer till uttryck i socialsekreterares resonemang om mäns våld mot kvinnor i nära relationer. Undersökningen består av halvstrukturerade intervjuer med sex socialsekreterare. Resultaten analyserades utifrån ett könsmaktsperspektiv, med stöd i tidigare forskning om mäns våld mot kvinnor och samhällets hantering av frågan på nationell nivå, kommunal nivå och genom socialtjänsten. Resultaten av undersökningen visade att socialsekreterarna å ena sidan ser bristande jämställdhet som en orsak till mäns våld mot kvinnor på en generell nivå, å andra sidan förklarade enskilda mäns våldsutövning bland annat utifrån föreställningar om mäns våld som uttryck för männens maktlöshetskänslor. I uppsatsen diskuteras också hur socialsekreterarnas förståelse om mäns våld mot kvinnor i nära relationer står i relation till en rådande könsneutral norm inom socialtjänsten..

I denna studie har fokus legat på mäns handlingar inom sporten fotboll. Definitionen på begreppet handling har i undersökningen syftat enbart till fysiska handlingar som vid för grov användning skulle kunna leda till brott, t.ex. misshandel. Centralt i undersökningen har varit att ta reda på hur intervjudeltagarna beskriver var gränsen mellan aggressivitet och våld går, samt se varför spelare handlar på ett visst sätt i match- och träningssituationer. Frågeställningarna studien utgått ifrån är:Varför handlar manliga spelare på ett visst sätt i match- och träningssituationer?Hur definierar de skillnaden på att vara aggressiv och att vara våldsam?Undersökningen utgår från ett socialkontruktionistiskt perspektiv, där genusteori står i fokus.

This thesis has the purpose of developing a normative theoretical framework based on different political philosophers and scientists view on deliberative democratic theory, discourse ethics and a modified norm of citizenship. This framework is supposed to contain the ideal communicative situation for people seeking asylum. Hence, the thesis argues that political influence is best practised through communicative rights, and that people seeking asylum are in title to such rights. We conclude that the standards needed to be met in order to reach the ideal are: translators, translated information, arenas for- or channels of communication, language education, and deliberative education. Once the framework is established we focus our interest on the Swedish state.

The purpose of this program is to increase innovation capability in Sweden that will result in new companies, patents and economic growth. The results from this study might give some direction to future innovation initiatives, but should primarily serve as a tool for the PIEp participants. The study will focus on investigating the creation of the program as well as the development of its strategy. From weaknesses and strengths within the strategy of the program the study should also attempt to show its future potential.

The aim for this study was to find out what strategies women use to not react against inequality and sexist prejudice. In the study I used a critical realistic approach through, primary, the social ontology presented by Margaret S. Archer. The study focus on both the women?s construction of femininity and their construction of masculinity and what directions it constitutes for the women?s social orientation.

BakgrundEnligt tidigare forskning är uppfattningen om läxor olika hos elever, föräldrar och lärare. Läxors syfte och påverkan kan få skilda svar beroende på vem du frågar. I Sverige finns det forskning som visar på en norm som efterfrågar ansvarstagande elever och föräldrar genom läxor.SyfteVår studies syfte är att undersöka lärares upplevelser av fenomenet läxor, samt dess påverkan av elevers skolresultat. Studien utgår från följande frågeställningar: Vad för läxor ger läraren ut? Vad är syftet med att ge ut läxor? Hur anser lärare att läxorna påverkar skolgången för eleven? Får eleven hjälp med uppgifterna hemifrån?MetodVi har gjort åtta kvalitativa intervjuer på fyra olika skolor.

The aim of this study is to describe how reviews of literature in Bonniers litterära magasin and Expressen changed during the period 1964-2004. The investigation is based on 20 reviews of novels and short stories, which are analysed with a method described in Hellspong and Ledin (1997) and inspired by Halliday. The theoretical frame of the investigation is founded on critical discourse analysis (Fairclough 1992 & 2001) and Habermas´social theory of the public sphere.The investigation shows, among other things, that the reviews became shorter and easier to read in both paper during the period. The investigation also shows that the genre´s style, composition and contents are relatively stable, and that current ideologies in society have a tendency to be reflected in the reviewers´evaluation of the books. To generalize, the reviews thus developed from a poetic genre in 1964, to become political in the 1970s, academic in the 1980s, feminist in the 1990s and finally an intermedial genre in 2004..

The aim of the study is to examine which present conceptions of sexuality there are in treatment of substance abuse for men. The intention is to examine how staff members in these environments perceive clients? sex and sexuality as well as studying if and in that case how they work with sexuality in treatment. A qualitative method formed the methodological approach and semistructured interviews were carried out for the collection of data. Four staff members from two different treatment institutions for substance abuse were interviewed.

Many people perceive a division between an online world and the ?real? world outside of the World Wide Web. However, this view often leads to a reduced sense of importance ascribed to what takes place online, even though it affects life in very real ways. In our study we aim to explain the importance of how meaning is built in to sociomaterial compositions. By analyzing comment fields hosted by a Swedish IT-journal we illustrate how what is being said interplays with the technological platform in various ways.

Denna studies syfte är att beskriva och förstå könsmönster i förskolebarns samtal omkring lek. Tidigare forskning har visat att den rådande normen i förskolan är den heterosexuella normen. Studier har visat att man inte vet hur många förskolor som arbetar med jämställdhet för att det inte finns någon skyldighet att rapportera det. Barn anpassar sig till pedagogers och vuxenvärldens normer på hur de förväntas vara.Utifrån empirin, som består av två gruppintervjuer med barn i 4-5årsåldern, så visar det att barnen applicerar de rådande könsstereotypa föreställningarna på leksaker och föremål i sin närmiljö. Enligt min studie så var barnen medvetna om könsmönster och delade upp lekformationer och leksaker i manligt och kvinnligt kodade positioner.

Many corporations turn to IT-outsourcing to focus more on their core competence or to cut the IT-budget. There is one caveat, the costs presented at a first glance does not always present the entire truth. Instead the costs run deeper and so-called hidden costs exist beyond the contractual cost. Reducing these hidden costs may very well be crucial to the entire IT-outsourcing endeavor. However many firms are not aware of these costs and as such they have a reduced chance of success.

Våra forskningsfrågor har handlat om vilka förväntningar chefer och medarbetare har på chefsrollen inom kommunal äldreomsorg - vilka likheter och skillnader som finns mellan chefer och medarbetare och vad det får för eventuella konsekvenser. Syftet var att förstå vilka förväntningar medarbetarna i en offentlig äldreomsorgsorganisation i tre kommuner i Småland har på sin chef samt vad enhetschefen har för förväntningar på sin roll inom äldreomsorgen. Vår fokus var några personers egna upplevelser, och vi har därför valt en kvalitativ ansats och har gjort tio enskilda intervjuer med fyra enhetschefer och sex medarbetare samt en parintervju med två medarbetare. Teoribildningar som vi använt är norm- och ledarskapsteorier. Resultatet av denna undersökning visar att det är skillnader på chefers och medarbetares förväntningar på chefsrollen, vad skillnaderna beror på är här svårt att fastslå.

The aim of this study was to give an insight of the construction of girls in their relationships with friends and lovers in the Swedish magazine Julia. The magazine turns to girls of age nine to fourteen. The research questions were 1) What is the construction of the girls in their relationships with friends and lovers about in Julia? 2) How are girls constructed in their relationships with friends and lovers? Three issues of the magazine from the winter of 2014 were selected as material for the study. Critical discourse analysis (Fairclough, 1992, 2010) was the point of departure in the analysis.
