This work presents the way exiled Tibetans I?ve met view gender and equality. The world is becoming increasingly global and in order to educate future world citizens it is important to make sure that they learn about gender and equality. Males and Females have different cultures and where manly is the norm female is the exception, but it is important to try and level out these differences while children are still in school. This work originates from studies of literature and several interviews with exiled Tibetans in the Indian city of Dharamsala. They are Tibetans with different roles in the exile-Tibetan society and also of different generations and gender.

The aim of this essay is to contribute to a better understanding of the prehistoric site Flyhov in the province of V?sterg?tland, Sweden and its immediate surroundings from an archaeological perspective. The site contains material artistic and ritual expressions from different prehistoric periods, and its long use-history (from the Stone Age until today) shows that the site, and its remains, has attracted the interest from people in prehistory, in modern times, as well as today. With a point of departure in perspectives derived from hermeneutics and phenomenology the essay examines the site?s prehistoric remains, the use of, and the interest directed towards, the site and its remains during different time- and use-horizons and how these horizons have been affected and intertwined with each other, in a manner where earlier material expressions have affected people and their new expressions.

Detta är en kvalitativ studie vars syfte är att undersöka hur genus ger sig uttryck i ledarskap hos enhetschefer inom socialt arbete. Den frågeställning som vi har valt att undersöka är hur kvinnliga och manliga enhetschefer inom socialt arbete ser på sitt ledarskap. Vi har undersökt hur manliga och kvinnliga enhetschefer beskriver sitt ledarskap, sina ledaregenskaper samt hur de beskriver andras egenskaper. Vi har valt att definiera genus, kön, ledarskap, maskulint, och feminint då dessa begrepp innehåller många tolkningar. Studiens resultat bygger på kvalitativa intervjuer med manliga och kvinnliga enhetschefer inom socialt arbete.

Mitt syfte är att ta reda på hur det goda barnet konstrueras i läseböcker från tre olika perioder. Jag tittar även på hur det goda barnet konstruerades i relation till genus, familj, skola och samhälle. Det goda barnet konstrueras antingen som pojke eller som flicka och detta görs genom att de identifieras i motsats till varandra. Pojkar och flickor görs till en dikotomi. Det goda könsspecificerade barnet sätts sedan in i olika sammanhang som familj, skola och samhälle.

This study explores the effects of two different post-treatment methods on stain reduction in glazed creamware from the late 20th century. The objects stains have been characterized by type one and type two stains which is the result of prolonged contact with food residues, were subjected to the same initial stain reduction. The two post-treatment methods examined are soaking the objects in deionized water and surface rinsing with deionized water. The comparative analysis included photographs under normal and UV-light exposure to assess stain visibility, weight measurements before and after treatments to monitor the absorption and evaporation of liquids, and observations throughout the experiment. The results revealed that while type two stains showed significant alterations after treatments, specifically after soaking, type one stains remained unaffected by both methods.

This paper describes what some 9th grade students think of their sex education in school, especially when it comes to gender, sexual identity, norms and deviation. I have been using group interviews in two different schools, two groups per school. The result of the students' answers have been analysed on the basis of queer theory focusing on gender and sexual identity. The result of the study shows that the students consider their sexual education to be lacking, especially when it comes to gender, sexual identity, norms and deviation. Another conclusion of the analysis is that a sex education grounded in queer theory would be more inclusive..

The present study investigates the relationship between narcissism, using identified facets in the five-factor model for the grandiose and vulnerable narcissistic personality, and job performance. The results, based on analyses of correlations from previous studies, meta-analyses and norm-data, show general differences regarding the grandiose and vulnerable narcissistic facet profile and their respective relationship to job performance. The results confirm previous study implications of the facet level data?s ability to capture aspects of the personality that a broader measure misses. Similarly, the results demonstrated that facets could differentially predict job performance in both a negative and positive direction.

This essay is a qualitative content analysis of Flickornas julbok andPojkarnas julbok from 1915/1916 to 1920 and from 1966 to 1970. Mainfocus is the representations of gender that is produced in the books, and howthe ideal of the girl and the ideal of the boy is described.The result shows that the girl is undergoing a change of personality. The idealimage of the girl develops from caring, helpful, compassionate, and diligent,to become independent and brave. The Ideal for the boy in the books, bothfrom the 1910s and 1960s, is described as adventurous, courageous, curious,independent, sensible, strong and loyal. In the 1960s books the girl and theboy are described with similar characteristics, but the girl is also expected tobe cute while boy is expected to be technical and knowledgeable.

Kvinnan har i alla tider drivit företag, men ändå inte varit lika accepterad som mannen när man talar om entreprenörskap. Syftet med den här studien är att undersöka hur rådande normer kring entreprenörskap påverkar meningsskapandet hos kvinnor som vill starta företag. Sex kvalitativa intervjuer har genomförts; fyra med personer som arbetar inom området för entreprenörskap samt två med personer som idag är verksamma entreprenörer. Slutsatsen är att entreprenöriella sammanhang är till stor del uppbyggda på strukturer där mannen är norm, vilket leder till att kvinnor inte identifierar sig som entreprenörer i samma utsträckning som mannen gör. Därmed blir den meningsskapande processen negativt påverkad och kvinnor har på grund av detta ett längre steg till att starta företag..

Bedömning av yngre barn ökar och den nya reviderade läroplanen för förskolan har fått ett nytt avsnitt som handlar om utvärdering där det ställs krav på att dokumentera varje barns utveckling och lärande. Vad denna ökande bedömningskultur kan få för konsekvenser i relation till barns olika förutsättningar, är en av frågor som problematiseras i studien. Studien har hämtat inspiration från poststrukturalism och som metod används diskursanalys. Sammanlagt har genomförts fem gruppintervjuer där tjugofyra pedagoger har medverkat. Pedagogernas egna bedömningsmaterial har använts som diskussionsunderlag.

Krav för att kunna vara med i studien var att inte ha tropi, amblyopi eller anisometropi. Det var två personer som uteslöts, den ena klarade inte stereotestet och den andra på grund av amblyopi. Först gjordes en variant av modifierad Humphriss och cyclodami, det öga som inte undersöktes dimmades med 1,5 dioptri (D).

The purpose of this essay is to see if villages or bigger settlement locations can be found in south-eastern Blekinge during the viking age. There have been many archaeological findings from this period in Blekinge, for example grave findings, ring-forts , old roads and ancient harbors. But no evidence of a village has been found yet. If south-eastern Blekinge is compared with the area surrounding Järrestad on Österlen in south-eastern Skåne and the area surrounding Sorte Muld on Bornholm, many likenesses can be seen. In this essay, the findings in Blekinge will be used as different components when the three areas are compared with each other.
