This thesis aims to investigate whether the parties Danish People?s Party, the Progress Party, the Finns Party and the Sweden Democrats can be categorized within the same party family, based upon the parties positions regarding the EU and European integration. The thesis contributes to increased knowledge and deeper understanding about these parties stances toward the EU and European integration, with a particular focus on how euroscepticism is expressed within each party. The thesis addresses the following research questions: which category of euroenthusiast, europragmatist, eurosceptic and euroreject best describes each of the four parties? Do the parties fall within the same category, or are they dispersed across different categories? The categories are based on different conceptualizations of euroscepticism (Kopeck? & Mudde, 2002), which composes the theoretical framework along with an analytical scheme based on the different conceptualizations.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att urskilja motiven till varför företag väljer att flytta produktion närmare kärnverksamheten genom att undersöka bakomliggande motiv och resultat av flytten. Med utgångspunkt från studier av insourcing och tidigare forskning om faktorer för omlokalisering ämnar denna uppsats att undersöka vilka motiven är för producerande företag att flytta produktionen närmare kärnverksamheten. En fallstudie på sex företag med kärnverksamhet i Sverige och som har eller ämnar flytta sin produktion eller del av produktion undersöks gällande sina motiv till flytten. De studerade företagen är Esska, Thermia, Ostnor, Yaskawa Nordic, Scania och Volvo. I en jämförande sammanställning analyseras motiven och ställer dessa mot teorin för att undersöka vad som används i praktiken.Resultatet av studien visade att de viktigaste motiven till att flytta produktion närmare kärnverksamheten var att minska kostnaden för tillverkningen, öka kvaliteten på sina produkter, minska lagret och det bundna kapitalet.

There are no set guidelines on how to interpret the criteria?s in the adjustment rule within the meaning of the companies act. The criteria?s are not discussed in literature and the Swedish case law in this area is very limited. A reason for the limited use of the adjustment rule is the slow and very costly process, which does not grantee the outcome of the case.

Att åstadkomma en önskvärd styrning mot gemensamma mål är ett ständigt pågående arbete inom samtliga organisationer. De styrmedel som studeras är informella och formella styrmedel samt organisationsstruktur. I denna uppsats studeras de ovan nämnda styrmedlen utifrån de anställdas perspektiv vid två institutioner inom Uppsala universitet. För anställda vid institutionerna finns tre arbetsuppgifter; forskning, undervisning och administrativt arbete. Enligt Ouchi påverkas valet av styrmedel bland annat av organisationens storlek, därför skiljer sig institutionerna åt i storlek, både vad gäller antalet anställda samt antal helårsstudieplatser.Vi har inte funnit några skillnader mellan institutionernas formella styrmedel.

SammanfattningFör svenska företag blir hållbarhetsfrågor, sustainability, allt viktigare. Idag är det inte längre en fråga om företag ska arbeta med det utan hur. Ett av de viktigaste verktygen för att kunna bedöma ett företags miljöpåverkan är livscykelanalys (Life Cycle Assessment, LCA). Det är en metod där man studerar miljöpåverkan av en produkt eller process genom hela dess livscykel. Om ett företag gör förbättring hos en produkt eller process med hjälp av LCA finns det ett stort intresse i att kunna kommunicera det till marknaden.

Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to study the causal relationship between bank sector development and economic growth in four Nordic countries (Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway).Method: Our thesis is based on a quantitative method. The study consists of a compilation and analysis of key financial indicators that represent economic growth and bank sector development. A Granger causality test has been conducted on the time series in order to measure the causal link between economic growth and bank sector development.Theoretical framework: The study is based on the theory of endogenous growth and the causal relationship between bank sector development and economic growth also known as the demand following and supply leading hypothesis. Results: The results of the four countries are ambiguous. Except for Denmark, that follows the supply leading hypothesis, the remaining countries do not show a unanimous result..

Den 31 augusti 2007 lämnade det norska och svenska högkvarteren in ett förslag på fördjupatförsvarssamarbete mellan länderna. Det råder det inga som helst tvivel om att den mest väsentligadrivkraften för detta samarbete är ekonomi. Bägge länderna riskerar att förlora väsentliga delar avsina förmågor p.g.a. nedskurna budgetar. Man vill därför åstadkomma ett ?ömsesidigtförstärkande? av de bägge ländernas produktionsförutsättningar.

Denna fallstudie bygger på och är ett fall av en gränsöverskridande operativ funktion mellan Sverige och Norge. Utbyte av och idéer kring en gemensam Recognized Air Picture (RAP) har under ett decennium pågått mellan de nordiska länderna Sverige, Norge och Finland. Arbetet har varit en osammanhängande följetong. Trots detta är utbyte av RAP ett av mycket få nordiska militära samarbetsprojekt som genomförts från idé till operativ drift sedan initiativet till Nordic Defence Cooperation (NORDEFCO). Det är därför intressant att lära mer om de drivande faktorerna bakom detta lyckade samarbetsprojekt.

The aim of this Masters thesis is to examine the view of market-led culture, focusing on literature, within Swedish governmental cultural policy. The main issue is to discover changes in attitude towards cooperation between culture and business by comparing the attitudes and ideas expressed in the governmental policy documents from the 1970s with the governmental policy documents from the 1990s. To illuminate, and with an effort to explain, these attitudes and ideas expressed in the documents their political and social context has been studied as well. The theoretical starting point is two political ideologies, and Danish cultural policy researcher Dorte Skot-Hansens theories of cultural policy in the Nordic countries. The methodological starting point is two variants of analyses that are textual ones.

The living library started in Denmark at the festival of Roskilde in 2000. It was initiated by the youth organisation ?Stop volden? (?Stop the violence?). Since 2005 the idea of lending a human being who represents a prejudice has also become a practice in a few public libraries in Sweden. I found it interesting to analyse the living library in relation to the mission of diversity in the public library.

Denna rapport syftar i att undersöka och jämföra två förenklade motion capturesystem. Det ena systemet innefattar två kameror, och det andra systemet innefattar endjupseende kamera. Problematiken med båda systemen är deras begränsade synfält.Om skådespelaren står riktad mot en kamera så kan den kameran inte se en arm somförs bakom ryggen.Min metod för att göra undersökningen var att filma ett antal olika typer av rörelsermed båda systemen och sedan utvärdera och jämföra den data som systemengenererade, dels genom att testa att applicera den på en 3D-karaktär, och dels genomatt se hur pass bra ofullständig data kunde repareras. Vissa rörelser filmades fleragånger, i olika riktningar. Undersökningen har resulterat i olika slutsatser om de bådasystemen.Att använda två kameror innebar en väldigt tidskrävande process i jämförelse medden djupseende kameran, och skådespelaren var begränsad till att stå riktad mer ellermindre mot kamerorna.

The concerning issue of declining number of hunters in North America is also apparent in Europe and Sweden. When the bulk of research found on human dimensions and hunting participation has almost exclusively been done in the United States, this report seeks to add to the needed knowledge on a national level focusing on the causes of hunter declines related to social factors within Sweden. Using hunter data reaching from commune, county to National level, this report describes the correlation between a number of variables and the hunting participation in Sweden.The typical Swedish hunter lives in an area with low population density, the person usually has higher education, the living situation is stable with no recent moving and there is relatively good access to forest land. Persons with weaker connection to the Swedish culture such as foreign citizens, people with foreign background and people born outside ?the Nordic countries? are less likely to start hunt or participate in hunting.A strong relationship was found between the favorite game, moose (Alces alces), and the amount of hunters participating in the hunting.

Bakgrund: Endast ett fåtal kvinnor i Norden väljer en planerad hemförlossning. I Sverige har en studie gjorts för att undersöka vilka karaktärsdrag som går att urskilja hos dessa kvinnor men liknande studier saknas för Norden.Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva vad som är karaktäristika för kvinnor i Norden som väljer en planerad hemförlossning samt jämföra karaktäristika hos kvinnor i Sverige med kvinnor från tre andra nordiska länder.Metod: Studien är en retrospektiv tvärsnittsstudie med kvantitativ ansats. Materialet är insamlat mellan 2009-2011 inom ramen för forskningsnätverket ?Nordic Homebirth? via enkätformulär på internetsidan www.nordichomebirth.com. Icke-parametriska analyser genomfördes med hjälp av Chitvå-test.Resultat: Totalt svarade 778 kvinnor på enkäten.

Energy Director is a control and measuring system for energy consumption and is part of the product portfolio of E.ON AG for more efficient use of energy, offered to business customers. As of today, the system has only one parameter of control, namely power, and the objective of this essay has been to investigate whether other ones could be added. The emphasis is on the environmental perspective, which is why carbon dioxide has served as an example for this parameter in question.Parallel with the study of Energy Director electricity on the margin, calculations of carbon dioxide equivalents and also the Swedish trade of electricity have all been highlighted. Results indicate that when reductions in energy are made it is endorsed to omit from electricity on the margin rather than some mean distributed electricity, under certain conditions, and in addition the calculations of the reductions should be modified regarding the efficiency of the power stations fuelled by lignite and bituminous coal. Sweden practices trade with the Nordic countries as well as Poland and Germany.

Purpose/Aim: The purpose of this essay is to analyze and discuss how MTV is affected by the development that takes place on the world?s media market. The aim is also to see how MTV?s target group?s image of the channel can give guidelines in how MTV should act in this new media era.Material/method: I have examined the development on the media market and then created a model consisting of relevant factors that could affect a TV-channel today. Those factors and the two factors image and profile are then applied on MTV.
