The purpose of this study was to illustrate the effects of music in pre-, peri-, and postoperative care. This study is a systematic literature study based on 22 scientific articles with quantitative methods. Music is an alternative treatment used in nursing care. Nurses could as a complement to routine pre-, peri-, and postoperative nursing have music interventions in mind, because an operation involves anxiety, fear and pain for many patients. The result of the study shows that music can reduce patients? anxiety, pain and improving their wellbeing and recovery.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka skillnader i krav, kontroll och socialt stöd (JDC-S) utifrån QPS Nordic mellan teknikkonsulter i små och stora företag inom samma verksamhetsområde samt skillnader i upplevd stressnivå utifrån Statshälsans basundersökning. Ytterligare ett syfte var att undersöka i vilken grad JDC-S predicerar stress samt vilken faktor som predicerar stress i högst grad. Resultatet visade signifikanta skillnader i samtliga skalor i JDC-S som kunde lokaliseras i inlärningskrav och kontroll av arbetstakt. Resultatet påvisade inga skillnader i fråga om företagsstorlek och stress där teknikkonsulter upplever stress relativt sällan. Detta motsäger tidigare studier om konsulter och stress, som visat att konsulter upplever stress i hög grad.

Syftet med vår rapport är att försöka ge en djupare inblick i ett av polisens mindre kända verksamhetsområden. Vi har valt att arbeta med de regionala insatsgrupperna både för att vi själva vill få ökade kunskaper om deras verksamhet samt för att undersöka hur denna polisiära resurs är organiserad i polismyndigheten. Rapporten försöker att analysera hur de regionala insatsgrupperna skiljer sig åt beträffande arbetsformer, utbildning och organisation i Örebros respektive Västerbottens polismyndighet. De fakta och uppgifter som rapporten bygger på har inhämtats från litteratur och genom intervjuer. Det vi har kommit fram till är att de regionala insatsgrupperna skiljer sig signifikant från varandra och en likriktning av verksamheten genom nationellt fastställda direktiv skulle kunna kompetenssäkra insatsgruppernas verksamhet..

The aim of this Masters thesis is to examine the view of literature within Swedish governmental cultural policy. The main issue is to discover changes in attitude towards democracy, literature and library by comparing the attitudes in the governmental policy documents from the 1970s with the governmental policy documents from the 1990s. The theoretical starting point is Danish cultural policy researcher Dorte Skot-Hansens theories of the development of cultural policy in the Nordic countries. My method of analysis is a textual one, analysis of ideas and ideology, focusing on the aspect of signification of a text. The study has an effort of analysing the governmental policy in terms of idea and ideology.

The aim of this Masters thesis is to examine the view of funding and sponsorship of culture within Swedish governmental cultural policy. The main issue is to discover changes in attitude towards funding and sponsorship of culture by comparing the discourse of cultural policy in the 1970s with the discourse of cultural policy in the 1990s. The theoretical and methological starting point is Ernesto Laclaus and Chantal Mouffes discourse theory. Another theoretical starting point is Danish cultural policy reasearcher Dorte Skot-Hansens theories of the development of cultural policy in the Nordic countries, and Norman Faircloughs, of critical discourse analysis, theory of the marketization of discourse. Four governmental cultural policy documents, two from the 1970s and two from the 1990s, are analysed through a model loosely based on Laclaus and Mouffes idea of nodalpoints and elements constituting a discourse.

This bachelor thesis consists of an analysis of museum environment. In the research, case studies have been done at the, Stockholm based museums, Swedish museum of Natural history?s exhibition Natur i Sverige (Nature in Sweden) and the Nordiska museet?s (Nordic history) exhibition Modemakt (Power of fashion) and learning environment Lekstugan (playhouse). The purpose of the research was to study how cultural heritage is used and developed within the museum pedagogy aimed at children. The research is based on a multimodal approach with focus on learning resources.The research examines the museums focus on children and youngsters, what the goals for this focus looks like on respective museum and how the focus is visible in the actual museums.

Undersökningen syftar till att skapa kunskap om barns och lärares handlingar inför mötet med teater och diskutera vad dessa handlingar har att berätta om lärares yrkeskunskaper och barns hinder och tillträde till kultur.Undersökningen studeras med kritisk diskursteori och narrativ teori genom Foucaults teorier om diskurser och makt. Som metod för att studera handlingarna i skolteaterfoajén används deltagande observationer som analyseras med Greimas aktantsmodell och skrivs fram med narrativer. Det är åtta skolteaterpubliker med barn 5-9 år och deras lärare i två olika teaterfoajéer som studerats innan de går in för att se en teaterföreställning.Skolteaterbesöket äger rum i en social pedagogisk praktik i ett diskursivt spel mellan skoldiskur-sen, teaterdiskursen och barndiskurser. Resultatet av studien visar att lärare agerar med avledande, påminnande och avbrytande handlingar gentemot barn som avvaktar, protesterar och undviker. Lärares handlingar karaktäriseras av disciplinerande makt och då fler hinder än tillträden skapas har de en differentierande funktion och betydelse för barns olika tillträde till kultur.

The concerning issue of declining number of hunters in North America is also apparent in Europe and Sweden. When the bulk of research found on human dimensions and hunting participation has almost exclusively been done in the United States, this report seeks to add to the needed knowledge on a national level focusing on the causes of hunter declines related to social factors within Sweden. Using hunter data reaching from commune, county to National level, this report describes the correlation between a number of variables and the hunting participation in Sweden.The typical Swedish hunter lives in an area with low population density, the person usually has higher education, the living situation is stable with no recent moving and there is relatively good access to forest land. Persons with weaker connection to the Swedish culture such as foreign citizens, people with foreign background and people born outside ?the Nordic countries? are less likely to start hunt or participate in hunting.A strong relationship was found between the favorite game, moose (Alces alces), and the amount of hunters participating in the hunting.

The report begins with a general inventory of possible technical faults in a hydropower plant and of possible fault indicating measurements. Then an investigation is made concerning a few different faults. Based on this investigation a choice on seal box condition and water leakage is made as problem for a more thorough examination, in which it is concluded that the turbine water leakage is larger when the turbine is put into operation. The examination ultimately results in a computer alarm for faults related to the seal box. Finally a few things are mentioned about flow measurement and pressure measurement in relation to the project as a whole..

This Master Thesis discusses the development of bids for regulation power with consideration of change of discharge. The study was initiated by Vattenfall PD and is a limited part of a substantial development project at the same division. The background of the project is the new demands from SvK, which among other things includes more detailed regulation bids. As from the 1st of November 2008, the regulation bids are supposed to be calculated regarding each specific regulation object, something that is defined by SvK. These new demands changes Vattenfall?s conditions and will increase the need for detailed knowledge about available regulation power and costs for regulation.In this study a strategy for regulation bids was developed.

The implementation of integration policy has in recent times been a major problem for the municipal administrations in Swedish municipalities. The concept of integration is considered to be very diffuse, difficult to apply and implement the following decisions. To understand the concept of integration is the first step, followed by understanding its complexity in an organization.In this study, I focus on studying the implementation of integration policies for integration work with Kalmar Municipality as a case study. I am using Lundquist's implementation theory about understanding, able and willing. The survey consists primarily of interviews but also a certain document to get a perspective on how integration policy has gone into integration work with the hypothesis that it is the understanding that weaknesses of the officials in the implementation of integration policies.

Övervikt och fetma är ett snabbt växande folkhälsoproblem i Sverige, liksom i övriga världen, som ger upphov till bland annat hjärt-kärlsjukdomar och andra negativa fysiska och mentala tillstånd. Enligt den senaste forskningen har magsäcksoperation fastslagits som den mest effektiva metoden för viktminskning vid svår fetma. Syftet med denna studie, som bygger på nio vetenskapliga artiklar, är att belysa på vilket sätt livskvaliteten påverkas hos vuxna individer som genomgått en sådan operation. Resultatet visar att livskvaliteten förbättras, dock inte för alla. Tidigare depression eller ätstörningsbeteende kan i flera fall finnas kvar postoperativt och tenderar då att ge sämre utfall eller inverka negativt på det sammantagna förloppet för individen..

Olika modeller har genom åren tagits fram för att förenkla analys av aktiemarknaden. En relativt ny teknik är så kallade artificiella neuronnät.Dessa modeller har visat sig lovande när det gäller att förutsägaaktiekurser. Projektets syfte är att hitta artificiella neuronnät som ger bra förutsägelser av framtida aktiekurser. Under projektet har ett mjukvarusystemsom genererar och tränar artificiella neuronnät av typen feedforward utvecklats för att kunna testa neuronnät med olika indata, struktur och träningsinställningar. För att komma fram till vilka konfigurationer på neuronnäten som ger bra resultat har näten testats genom simulerad aktiehandel där köp- och säljbeslut grundats på neuronnätens förutsägelser.

High-precision cutting in metal is very complicated, a lot of parameters affect the result: what geometries to be manufactured, surface roughness and tolerances to be achieved, batch size etcetera. Introduction: In this study an innovative and multimodal method in family therapy called NVR, Non-Violent Resistence, is examined. NVR is an approach developed by Haim Omer, professor in psychology at the University of Tel Aviv. This approach is described as coming from the ancient ideological roots used by Gandhi in the Nonviolent resistence of oppressive regimes. NVR advocates that the parents give up the desire to control their children. Instead parents should take control of their own lives by actively resisting any behaviors of the child that are damaging.
