Ekonomi är ett ämne som alltid är aktuellt när det kommer till att spara pengar. Ett ämne som blivit allt viktigare de senaste åren är hur vi kan minska på miljöpåverkan. Malmö stad har valt att se över helhetsperspektivet med en miljövänlig parkskötsel och inriktat sig på Bulltofta rekreationsområde. En del av detta är att eventuellt lägga om, delar av skötseln av långgräsytor på Bulltofta rekreationsområde, för betesdjur som ett alternativ till maskiner. Jag har, genom att välja ut ett begränsat område, jämfört hur årskostnaden, bränsleförbrukningen och CO2-utsläppen skiljer sig i de båda alternativen.

Aim: The aim of this study is to describe which messages and by which rhetorical means were communicated in political TV-advertisement in Finland and Sweden. The study also aims to analyze how the rhetorical choices were influenced by the political and social context in these countries.Material: Two TV-commercials from the latest parliamentary elections in each country were chosen. The leading left-wing and right-wing parties were chosen from each country.Theoretical perspective: This study is based on theories on political parties? vote maximization and the development of the modern electoral campaign.Methodology: The method used in this study is rhetorical analysis.Results: All commercials had similar themes and were characterized by a low level of conflict. This is related to the common Nordic context in the two countries.

Farmers Cooperative has in recent years developed from national markets to cross-border, international, collaborations. One example is the merger between the Swedish dairy company Arla and Danish MD Foods, where the companies collectively are sought to reduce transaction costs and thus improve efficiency. The Swedish market for commodities (fertilizers and pesticides) in agriculture has for many years been dominated by a few large players, with little opportunity for grain associations and local grain companies to offer their customers a varied range of commodities with a competitive pricing.To change this state, a majority of Swedish and Danish grain associations and local grain companies have established a trans-national cooperation. Through the establishment of the organization DLA Agro, they offer their customers a good variety of products with competitive prices. This study investigates thus according to the theory of cooperative models to what extent and how the DLA Agro helps to create benefits for the Swedish member companies.

Are we able to help younger students to develop their understanding and their use of the capital letter, dot and question mark by giving them intensive teaching on the subject during a short period, and would the effect be long lasting?I decided to investigate this together with young students in second and third grade and at the same time try to see which grade would benefit most.By using an experimental research design I conducted the investigation in a class with children from both grades where the result was compared with two similar control groups. The investigation lasted during five months, while the students were able to show their knowledge in the subject just before and after a two weeks period of intensive teaching and then again after four months.The result showed that the intensive teaching had an effect that lasted over time and that it was the students in second grade that would benefit most. .

The aim with this thesis was to acquire an understanding for how individuals handle the feeling of shame in connection with cultural consumption. In order to capture the feeling of shame we developed an interview method called the Backstabber interview technique. We found that the Backstabber interview technique successfully triggered feelings of shame in connection to cultural consumption, which made it possible for us to study the handling of shame. We found that our respondents tended to use different forms of accounts in order to handle the feeling of shame. We categorized them into five accounts with relating sub-accounts.

Background: The valuation of Biotechnology companies is difficult in many ways. Patent and human capital are hard to value and also there is a great uncertainty about the success of the compaines research programs. Are traditional valuation models really useful when it comes to research companies or do they result in false values of the companies? Purpose: To study what values different valuation models gives biotechnology companies and how they correspond to the market value. Bakgrund: Globalisering och tekniska förändringar har gjort att nya kulturuttryck har vuxit fram och möjliggjorts genom exempelvis Internet. Dessa nya uttryck präglas av interaktion och deltagande. Institutionerna har traditionellt skapat värde genom presenterande kulturförmedling. Genom denna utveckling har kulturinstitutionerna fått en ökad konkurrens.Det framkommer vidare att kulturorganisationerna har nya ekonomiska förutsättningar till vilka institutionerna måste förhålla sig. Då omvärldsförändringar har skett och nu sker, vidtar kulturinstitutionerna åtgärder för att säkra sin långsiktiga överlevnad.Problemformulering: Vilka marknadsföringsfaktorer är viktiga för att Riksteatern genom medverkande kulturutbyte ska skapa mervärde, vilket ger långsiktig överlevnad?Syfte: Vad har Riksteatern för organisatoriska förutsättningar att skapa mervärde genom medverkande kulturutbyte?Metod: Studien bygger på en kvalitativ ansats där en fallstudie av Riksteatern har genomförts genom fyra intervjuer på nationell nivå samt en e-enkät med de lokala riksteaterföreningarna.Teoriområden: Organisation, Internkommunikation, Mervärde, Involvering.Resultat: Den första viktiga organisatoriska förutsättningen för att Riksteatern ska kunna skapa mervärde genom medverkande kulturutbyte är att institutionens dominerande idéer präglas av samstämmighet om att medverkande är organisationens gemensamma strategi, vilket är fallet.

The foremost objective of business organizations is to generate value for shareholders and to opt for strategies which optimize it. Hence it is of key concern for business leaders to appreciate how operations best are run to maximize value creation. This study explores how financial theory can reveal the link between one particular business strategy and the corresponding effect on shareholder wealth. The question in focus is whether construction companies can enhance their value creation by implementing shift-work to increase the weekly production rate. The thesis particularly targets apartment block projects in Sweden and has the construction company Peab AB as primary object of study.

This paper examines if trading suspensions on Nasdaq OMX Nordic - Stockholm work as a contributing factor in creating a secure trading. This has been made through an event study and examination of abnormal returns. Our results for plus tick suspensions indicate that suspensions fulfill their purpose in creating a more secure trading since the trend of abnormal return we observe prior to a suspension is disrupted. Thus, the suspension is warranted. The conclusion is that the market cannot be completely safe; as the law and practice is structured today an abnormal return is inevitable.

Sweden is a world leader in listed private equity and ranked fifth in the world in market capitalization. The sector is attracting increasing interest from the investment community. However, the private equity industry in Sweden has historically poor reputation and is criticized for creating value through high leverage, multiple riding and severe cuts. This study analyzes value creation drivers in buyouts from the perspective of the private equity firm using a dataset of 15 realized buyouts by private equity firms listed on NASDAQ OMX Nordic Stockholm. The methodology used separates the value contribution of leverage on the private equity firm's return from internal operational improvements and external variations in transaction multiples.

It provides a stepping-stone in moving closer to understanding one, in human nature, deeply rooted phenomenon - collecting.The essay is based on a list of questions made by the Nordic Museum in Stockholm. It also includes in-depth examinations of four person?s passion of collecting, in which four individuals were interviewed: a pig collector, a collector of Mickey Mouse items, a multi-collector of objects from other cultures and one collector of items related to the artist Madonna.
