Numerous studies raise the topic of highly educated immigrants whose education and list of qualifications devalue in the context of the Swedish labour market. However, little is known of those with foreign background who enter into higher education in Sweden. Our study attempts to shed some light onto the value of higher education relative to that of a person?s ethnic background. The background material features nine in-depth interviews of foreign background academics, as well as data extracted from an extensive survey study previously carried out at Växjö University. Initially, the quantitative data showed that students with foreign background, including Swedish-born children of immigrants, had not managed to find qualified work upon completion of studies to the same extent as their Swedish background counterparts.

Towards the end of the 1960s, the credit financed purchase was well established in Sweden. The Swedish households were able to purchase goods, which had been considered unnecessary, or even luxurious, in the past. On the other hand, effective means to handle the increasing amount of debt and potential debtors were introduced; credit rating was registered, trade with insecure claims increased and if debtors could not fulfil their obligations, the creditors often used harsh or undue methods. By introducing Inkassolagen (1974:182), the legislator hoped to regulate the debt recovery process and ensure the fair treatment of debtors. The legislator also introduced liability for damages caused by a creditor in the collection process.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka den första månadens rapportering kring försvinnandet av Madeleine McCann och på så sätt få en bild av vilka faktorer som skapade ett så stort publikt och medialt intresse för just detta fall. Denna kompletteras med en kvantitativ innehållsanalys för att få fram statistik på hur mycket utrymme visa aspekter får samt vilka benämningar som görs vid porträtteringen av Madeleine McCann.Det undersökta materialet består av artiklar från tidsperioden 5 maj 2007 till och med den 7 juni 2007 i Aftonbladet, Expressen och Dagens Nyheter.De teoretiska ramverk uppsatsen utgår ifrån är teorier om socialkonstruktivism, nyhetsvärde, medielogik och narrativ berättande.Resultatet visade att den främsta faktorn till att fallet uppmärksammades är genom den personifiering som gjordes av Madeleine McCann och hennes föräldrar. Personifieringen leder till att rapporteringen kan konstrueras till en nyhetsberättelse.

The purpose of this work was to determine how important a word?s setting was for the readability of typography in motion. Facts regarding how reading works and the importance of the words formation for the readability were used to form a computer test. This test was performed by 15 test persons and the results were analyzed. The results show that the serif was easier to read than the sanserif.

The purpose of this masters´ thesis is to examine the attitudes of public librarians towards easy-to-read literature and see whether a connection between these attitudes and accessibility can be made. The study has been performed with a qualitative approach and consists of four depth interviews with emphasis on how librarians relate to and experience easy-to-read literature and its´ users. As complement to the depth interviews, two micro interviews were made. The study can be seen as a follow up to a survey I made 2005, commissioned by The centre for Easy- to-Read. As analytical tools the cultural sociological theories of Pierre Bourdieu, with his concepts field, cultural capital and habitus, have been used.

På uppdrag från One Nordic AB utreder denna rapport ur ett allmänt perspektiv vilka energibesparande åtgärder som kan utföras på vattenkraftverk. Fokus ligger på, enligt önskan av beställande företag, värmeåtervinning från transformatorer, effektivisering av isfrihållningen kring utskovsluckor samt effektivisering och modernisering av belysningsanläggningar. Rapporten ger förslag på energieffektiviseringar tillsammans med konkreta beräkningsexempel på hur mycket energi som går att spara under angivna förhållanden. Resultatet visar att energieffektiviseringar bör föregås av en djupanalys av varje kraftstations budget, behov och efterfrågan tillsammans med ett noggrant ställningstagande till eventuella risker. Eftersom en mängd variabler gör det svårt att presentera en generell bästa lösning presenterar rapporten ett par rekommenderade lösningar till värmeåtervinning från transformatorer, energibesparande åtgärder i och kring utskovsluckorna samt ett flertal alternativ till energieffektivisering av belysningsanläggningar..

Syftet med studien var att ta reda på om det går att predicera medarbetares livstillfredsställelse, psykosociala välmående och upplevd relation till närmaste chef utifrån chefers emotionsperception och emotionsreglering. Detta gjordes genom att 38 chefer utförde ett datorbaserat emotionsperceptionstest samt besvarade Emotional Regulation Questionaire. Deras närmaste medarbetare bestående av totalt 213 stycken fick sedan besvara en enkät bestående av delar från Satisfaction With Life Scale, SF-1 och QPS Nordic. Studiens huvudresultat visade att generaliserat kan resultatet från emotionsperceptionstestet och det självrapporterade användandet av omvärdering av känslor hos chefer förklarar 28 % av skattningarna på Satisfaction With Life Scale hos medarbetarna. Resultaten diskuteras i termer av att chefer skapar en positiv atmosfär på arbetsplatsen, identifierar sociala problem och löser konflikter effektivare när de är skickliga på emotionsperception och omvärderar sina känslor..

Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att ge en ökad förståelse för Venture capitalbolagen och dess portföljbolag. Tanken är sedan att koppla ihop Venture capitalbranschen med den rådande lågkonjunkturen för att se om branschen påverkats, och i så fall på vilket sätt.Metod: Uppsatsen är byggd på en kvalitativ studie.
