Miljöinformation från teori till praktik.
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the process of transferring information from science to "the field" of environmental protection in Sweden. I have studied four Swedish environmental organizations, Greenpeace Nordic, WWF Sweden, the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation and Friends of the Earth Sweden to see how they search/get information. I have also studied the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and its role as sender of information, since it is the authority which is responsible for environmental information in Sweden. I have used information and communication theories as a help to analyse my results. While working on this paper I realized that my methods were not the best.

To get an optimal print result with rotogravure on improved newsprint, MF-paper, knowledge aboutwhat adjustment that should be done through the whole production is needed. This degree project investigatesthe reproduction?s effect on the final print result.A test print is done at Quebecor World Nordic Interprint´s regular print unit. The evaluation of theprint shows how important the use of a unit adjusted ICC-profile is for the print quality. A comparisonbetween the two separation methods GCR and UCR shows that Interprint´s present ICC-profile, usingUCR as separation method, gives less missing dots.
Efficient hedging in an illiquid market
Vattenfall hedge its future electricity production in order to decrease fluctuations in theresult. Hedging can in a simplified way be described as selling the future electricity deliveriesin long-term contracts so that the future price of the delivery becomes fixed. The contractsused are electricity forwards traded at the Nordic electricity market Nord Pool. Animbalance between buyers and sellers can lead to a situation where the forward price notequals the expected spot price. The difference between the forward price and the expectedspot price is referred to as the market risk premium.
Transportekonomi : Underlag för prisförhandlingar
The report addresses four main tasks, situation analysis of the company's total costs and transportation volume, cost analysis associated with the adjustment of the filling ratio, transport costs for the expansion and new expenses on a combination of expansion with new adjusted filling ratio. Increasing transport costs for the company was the main reason for the request of the current situation analysis. A survey of the total cost with the actual volumes and transport provider pricing is the basis of the analysis that extends from May 2006 to October 2008. The results show an increase in costs, both overall expense and per cubic meter of transported goods. Volume spreads, trends, and seasonal variations are according to our and the company?s expectations.
Reporäntans effekt på den svenska aktiemarknaden : En eventstudie justerad för GARCH-effekter
Studien syftar till att undersöka huruvida det finns ett signifikant samband mellan den svenska reporäntan och prisbildningen av aktier inkluderade i indexet OMXS30. Datamaterialet täcker perioden 2004 till 2012 och hämtas direkt från NASDAQ OMX Nordic. Genom en eventstudie och med hjälp av Marknadsmodellen estimeras en abnormal avkastning för händelseperioderna. För att ta hänsyn till de estimeringsproblem som finns associerade med finansiell tidsseriedata och dess varians används en EGARCH-modell. Resultatet tyder på en signifikant negativ korrelation mellan reporäntan och marknadspriserna på Stockholmsbörsen.

Companies and organizations recognize the importance of collaboration to develop responsibility and ability of change in the workplace. The concept of collaboration was a relatively new idea in business in the late 1980s. In a Nordic context, collaboration is a traditional approach that companies use successfully for competition, survival and development. Collaborative organizational efforts cover management of committed people who can help companies achieve flexibility, customer loyalty, innovation and economic success on a challenging and competitive market. Many theorists believe that collaboration is the key to integrating technology, financial competence and innovation.
Product Development Processes in the Nordic Paper Packaging Companies : an assessments of complex processes
It is important for firms to continually develop their offerings as the business landscape develops in order to sustain their competitiveness (e.g. Schumpeter, 1934; Ansoff, 1979; Porter, 1985; Trott, 2012). In a context of globalization, rapid technology development and changing customer needs, the paper packaging industry is urged to enhance its product development activities (Hansen & Niskanen, 2007; Björkdahl & Börjesson, 2011). However, there is little research about paper packaging firms? product development processes (ibid).
Estimation of heterosis and performance of crossbred Swedish dairy cows
The heterosis effect and breed group effect of crossbreds between Swedish Holstein (SH) and Swedish Red (SRB) was estimated in this study. Observations on cows born between 1990 and 2012 were used to estimate the heterosis effect and breed group effect for several traits included in the Nordic breeding goals: production, fertility, udder health, calving performance, survival and other diseases.
Breeding within the Holstein dairy breed has earlier been focused on increased milk production and conformation. This, combined with an intensive use of individual animals, has resulted in a radical increase of milk yield in the Holstein dairy cow population all over the world. However, this breeding strategy has resulted in increased inbreeding and several functional traits have impaired.
The French market and customers? perceptions of Nordic softwood offerings
The study of the French market for softwood has been done in collaboration with VIDA AB. The aim of the study was to investigate important product quality and service quality dimensions, the customers? perception of the offering and generally describe the French market and present actors.
The market for softwood around the world changes over time and new markets can mean opportunities for the sawmilling industry. The French market is the second biggest European market for softwood, has had presence of actors with sourcing of raw material from the Nordic countries for decades and there is a growing interest for building with wood.
Theory being used is about the different dimensions that make up the total quality of softwood, together with intangible dimensions making up the total offering that helps the sawmilling industry to create positive perceived value for the customers.
Methodological approach in the study was a case study research design, aimed at providing knowledge about one specific subject in one context. The general description was mostly carried out by literature studies and data from various statistics sources.

I examine how relationships between people and objects are created and continues through contiguity every time one use or touch an object and through participation through use and memories. The aim is to continue a relationship and to keep a communication alive with people beyond time and space, then, now and henceforth. I take advantage of and transform the traces in an object that belonged to someone. Parallel I create new space for bodies to put their mark for the first time. I compare my work with the Nordic Museum's task to preserve the present for the future.
Beräkning av koldioxidutsläppet från bostadssektorn i Stockholms län
During the last decades the housing sector has increased continuously, and housings and services accounted for 40 % of the energy usage in Sweden during 2011. The expansion in number of buildings in society has resulted in an increase in both energy usage and emissions of greenhouse gases. It is crucial to enable a sustainable development of society and as a result, the demand to reduce the emissions of carbon dioxide is a current question. In this study, the carbon dioxide emitted from the housing sector in Stockholm is estimated. The housing sector can be divided into different types of houses such as apartment blocks, single-family houses and holiday houses. By collecting information of the energy purchased in respective households, a computational model is generated that calculates the total emission of carbon dioxide.
Att bygga hälsa: Vad byggnadsarbetare önskar för hälsoarbete på arbetsplatsen
Eftersom individer i arbetslivet tillbringar största delen av sin vakna tid på arbetsplatsen ses denna som en god arena för hälsofrämjande insatser. Med olika interventioner kan det skapas friskare anställda och därmed effektivare företag. Hälsofrämjande åtgärder är därför av intresse för både anställda och arbetsgivare. Det är framförallt individers mat-, motions- och tobaksvanor som påverkar hälsan. Arbetsgivarens insatser bör i första hand riktas mot motionsvanorna, eftersom dessa har störst hälsopåverkan och i andra hand mot tobaksvanorna.

This study has been conducted in order to determine the existence of predictability for the Stockholm stock exchange. With this purpose the random walk theory has been raised against the theory of mean reversion in order to determine which theory is the most substantial. Data has been collected from Nasdaq OMX Nordic and furtherly been processed using the statistical software EViews. Swedish listed companies? daily share values between 2000-2014 have been analyzed using two tests; an Augmented Dickey Fuller test and a Variance Ratio test.
Energieffektivisering av vattenkraftverk
På uppdrag från One Nordic AB utreder denna rapport ur ett allmänt perspektiv vilka energibesparande åtgärder som kan utföras på vattenkraftverk. Fokus ligger på, enligt önskan av beställande företag, värmeåtervinning från transformatorer, effektivisering av isfrihållningen kring utskovsluckor samt effektivisering och modernisering av belysningsanläggningar. Rapporten ger förslag på energieffektiviseringar tillsammans med konkreta beräkningsexempel på hur mycket energi som går att spara under angivna förhållanden. Resultatet visar att energieffektiviseringar bör föregås av en djupanalys av varje kraftstations budget, behov och efterfrågan tillsammans med ett noggrant ställningstagande till eventuella risker. Eftersom en mängd variabler gör det svårt att presentera en generell bästa lösning presenterar rapporten ett par rekommenderade lösningar till värmeåtervinning från transformatorer, energibesparande åtgärder i och kring utskovsluckorna samt ett flertal alternativ till energieffektivisering av belysningsanläggningar..
