BakgrundCirka 12 000 personer drabbas av afasi i Sverige varje år. Även om afasi är vanligast bland äldre är det ungefär 35 procent av alla med afasi som är yngre än 65 år. Den vanligaste orsaken till afasi är stroke. Cirka 33 procent av alla strokefall resulterar i afasi. Trauman, trafikolyckor samt hjärntumör är andra orsaker till afasi.

AbstractObjective: The aim of this study was to investigate the statistical properties of a self-assessment instrument for depression, Känsloläge, with regard to validity, reliability and factor structure. Method: The data collection method used for the study was mail questionnaires. The sample consisted of patients who had received treatment for heart failure, arrhythmic disorders or coronary heart disease at a hospital in Uppsala, Sweden. The study population consisted of 53 patients. The self assessment form?s validity was analyzed by measuring the criterion validity.

Begreppet slöjdprocess har idag en central plats i relation till svensk grundskolas slöjdverksamhet, men har hittills genom bådestyrdokument och i forskning definierats och förklarats på olika sätt, vilket gjort att begreppet kunnat uppfattas tvetydigt.Denna uppsats består av en kvalitativ litteraturstudie, inspirerad från en fenomenografisk forskningsansats, med syftet att försökabesvara frågan om vad begreppet slöjdprocess står för relaterat till svensk grundskolas slöjdverksamhet; hur begreppet definieras,tolkas och förklaras inom slöjdforskningsfältet. Studien bygger på en sammanställning och jämförelser av sex forskare frånSverige, Danmark och Finland utifrån deras definitioner och tolkningar av begreppet slöjdprocess.Resultatet visar att det saknas en tydlig definition av begreppet slöjdprocess, istället finns det flera sätt att både definiera ochförklara begreppet. Studiens resultat visar också både beskrivningar av flera parallellt pågående processer inom en slöjdprocessoch beskrivningar av flera parallellt pågående processer som inte bör ses som delprocesser inom en slöjdprocess.   ?this Unpleasent klientel?A study on refugee care in Växjö between the years 1944 and 1947.The purpose of this study was to examine the treatment of sick refugees in Växjö in the 1940s. To achieve this a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods were used. The material found in the local archive and local newspaper was then put together and analyzed from the theoretical perspective, gender, class, ethnicity and social status.The result of this study shows that there were two main treatment wards for refugees, one that was supposed to treat women and children with active tuberculosis and the other ward treated refuges with ?epidemic diseases.? Foreign citizens were also taken care of in other words that were also not meant for refugees only, like the Epidemic hospital, which treated about 80 patients of a foreign nationality between 1944 and 1946.

In my thesis project I have been working with body language in furniture.  I believe that furniture, just like us, has an expression and a character. We often tend to desccribe furniture with the same words as we describe people, for example: "A relaxed chair" or "a cocky table".

The perioperative nurse's primary responsibility is to care for the patient during the operation?s three phases; before, during and after. The communication between colleagues in the surgical department is increasing opportunities for safe care for the patient and a good dialogue with the patient can alleviate the concerns facing the unknown environment such as an operating theater. The pilot study was to investigate the surgical nurses' perceptions of conversations with the patient one year after graduation. To answer the pilot study's aim a qualitative interview study was chosen with a phenomenographic approach.

Verbal dyspraxi är termen för barn som har en nedsättning i förmågan att viljemässigt programmera motoriken vid talproduktion. Den här studien syftar till att stärka den kliniska användningen av DYMTA genom att bidra till insamlingen av referensdata från typiskt utvecklade barn. Studien tillhör ett större doktorandprojekt där sammanlagt tre magisteruppsatser kommer att bidra till insamlingen av referensdata av barn med typisk tal- och språkutveckling. I föreliggande studie undersöktes 16 barn i åldern 4:0?4:11 och 17 barn i åldern 7:0?8:11 med DYMTA och ett omfattande testbatteri.

Background: Insufficient nutritional support is associated with prolonged hospitalisation, impaired wound healing and impaired survival for patients in intensive care. In severe sepsis and septic chock, calculation of nutritional need is complicated since the metabolism is affected by decease. Aim: The aim of the study was to investigate nutritional support and to examine the quality of nursing documentation of nutritional status and nutritional support in patient records in severe sepsis and septic chock.  Method: The study was conducted as a retrospective investigation where 64 patient records were studied. The quality of documentation was examined in 10 patient records using an examinational model.Findings: Calculation of average nutritional support showed insufficient supply particularly in the two first days of intensive care. During the next five days nutritional supply was higher but individual variation was seen, why a clear picture of nutritional support is hard to detect.

 The aim of this two-years master?s thesis is to examine the role of the body and the importance of nonverbal communication in the library workplace and to explore the possibility of becoming more nonverbally skilled. For this purpose a course was developed and presented to nine librarians in a public library in the vicinity of Stockholm in February, 2011. Qualitative interviews with the librarians were conducted after the course.Important theories for this work were Annemaree Lloyd?s thoughts on corporeality, Erving Goffman?s dramaturgical sociology and John Dewey?s learning by doing.

Background: Pressure ulcers have during a long time ages caused great suffering for the patients. The factors affecting the occurrence of pressure ulcers can be both internal and external, such as immobility and malnutrition. Nurses´ role is to assess risks and thus pay attention to prevent and treat pressure ulcers. The nurse may use various assessment tools to highlight and document patients at risk for developing pressure ulcers. Aim: This study was to describe health professionals´ thoughts and actions about the pressure ulcers.
