Egenvård av stomi - en litteraturstudie om patientundervisningens betydelse
Background: There are many possible reasons why a patient gets a stoma and in every case it?s of importance for the nurse to adjust nursing care, information and patient education from individual presuppositions. Problem: Patient education regarding stoma self-care is an important part of the nurse?s work within stoma care. The patient is depending on the guidance of the nurse and therefore it is relevant to illuminate the importance of education regarding gaining ability to perform self-care.

ABSTRACTThe aim of this study was to describe various methods of treatment and effects of treatment of ADHD, and to investigate wheater there is an association between adults with ADHD and obesity. Method: Literature review. Twelve quantitative scientific articles were found in the data bases PubMed, Cinahl and MedLine. Result: ADHD is a cognitive impairment that can lead to serious complications such as obesity. Studies show that drug treatments of adults with ADHD have positive effects in terms of reduced symptoms, increased efficiency and improved quality of life, but drugs can also cause side effects in form of loss of appetite and insomnia. For adults with ADHD and obesity drugs that affect metabolism have a significant impact on patients ability to lose weight.
Livskvalitet hos personer med cancersjukdom inom palliativ vård
AbstractBackground: Cancer is a leading cause of death worldwide and accounted for 7.6 million deaths, about 13% of all deaths, in 2008. Several factors can affect patients' quality of life such as physical and psychological symptoms, relationship to people around and the environment. In palliative care professionals need to have good knowledge in order to improve patient quality of life and to give them as good a life as possible in the final stages of life.Aim: The purpose of this overview study is to describe the experiences of quality of life in patients with incurable cancer.Method: We conducted an overview study that was based on ten scientific articles. All articles are qualitative studies, from the year 1995 - 2011, and are from Sweden, Finland, UK, Canada and the USA. Qualitative analysis was used to group the various themes and subthemes for overview study purpose.

Background: Long-term stress can lead to reduced health among nurses which can result in impaired quality of care. Stress in nurses' work needs to be studied in order to prevent stress and impaired quality of care. Aim: The aim of this study was to describe nurses' experience of occupational stress and factors that contribute to occupational stress. Method: The method used was a literature review. Results: The analysis resulted in five themes which describe nurses' experiences of occupational stress and factors that contribute to occupational stress.

Background: Patients with leg ulcer suffers often of woundpain. Healthcare professionals will strive after having knowledge and understanding for how woundpain influences the patient's quality of life. Aim: The aim is to elucidate the patient's experiences of pain at venous leg ulcer and the effects on their daily life. Method: The procedure has been a systematic literature overview with a systematic search in different databases. The search resulted in nine scientific articles.
DYnamisk Motorisk TAlbedömning (DYMTA) ? en referensstudie : Åldersgrupperna 4:0?4:11 år och 7:0?8:11 år
Dynamisk motorisk talbedömning (DYMTA) är ett nyutvecklat test för diagnosticering av verbal dyspraxi. Verbal dyspraxi är termen för barn som har en nedsättning i förmågan att viljemässigt programmera motoriken vid talproduktion. Den här studien syftar till att stärka den kliniska användningen av DYMTA genom att bidra till insamlingen av referensdata från typiskt utvecklade barn. Studien tillhör ett större doktorandprojekt där sammanlagt tre magisteruppsatser kommer att bidra till insamlingen av referensdata av barn med typisk tal- och språkutveckling. I föreliggande studie undersöktes 16 barn i åldern 4:0?4:11 och 17 barn i åldern 7:0?8:11 med DYMTA och ett omfattande testbatteri.

The health care system in most western countries is undergoing rapid changes with an increasing amount of people living with chronic cancer. These people have to deal with their disease in every day life together with working and family life. The relationship between health services and every day life has changed and raises new requirements.
Earlier research has shown that maintaining every day life is important for cancer patients and their families. This study comprised patients with lymphoma receiving their diagnosis during 2003 ? 2005.
Patienters upplevelser av patientdagbok från intensivvårdsavdelning
Aims: The aim of this study was to describe how patients that received a patient diary after their stay at an intensive care unit (ICU) had used the diary and if they found it useful for dealing with their stay in the ICU. The study also aimed to investigate if the patients felt a need for discussing their stay in the ICU and the diary with a registered nurse.Method: The study was performed as an interview study with explorative design. Six informants participated in the study. Recorded personal interviews were held with the informants. The recorded material was transcribed and analysed using qualitative content analysis on a manifest level.Results: This study shows that informants have used their diaries to establish a conception of what they have experienced during their stay in the ICU.
HIV/AIDS-patienters upplevelser av diskriminering i vården.
Bakgrund: HIV/AIDS är en allvarlig, smittsam och kronisk immunbristsjukdom. Idag förekommer sjukdomen överallt i samhället, men en stereotyp bild av sjukdomen lever fortfarande kvar. HIV/AIDS är en stigmatiserande sjukdom och leder till diskriminering vilket förekommer i vården. Detta är ett problem eftersom att målet med hälso- och sjukvård är en god vård på lika villkor.Syfte: Att beskriva HIV/AIDS-positiva patienters upplevelser av diskriminering i vården.Metod: Litteraturstudie med kvalitativ ansats baserad på tio vetenskapliga originalartiklar. Kvalitativ innehållsanalys genomfördes i enlighet med Graneheim och Lundman (2004).Resultat: Två övergripande kategorier framkom; Diskriminerande handlingar med underrubrikerna felaktiga hygienrutiner, brytande av sekretess, nekad vård och kroppsspråk och Verbal diskriminering med underrubrikerna icke relevanta frågor och opassande språk och hårda ord.Slutsats: Patienter med HIV/AIDS blir utsatta för diskriminerande handlingar och verbal diskriminering i vården, vilket orsakar patienten vårdlidande.

This goal can be obtained by increasing our knowledge of the body, under both normal and sickly conditions. That is, by sharing knowledge of the various medical service units within Stockholm?s county council and thus elaborates diagnostics.
Patienters upplevelser av livsstilsförändringar vid diabetes typ 2 : en systematisk litteraturstudie
Diabetes type 2 is a fast growing illness and a global health problem, often a result from less appropriate standard of living. Lifestyle changes related to diet and physical activity are important lifestyle changes regarding to get control of the self-management and to avoid vascular complications.AimThe aim of this study was to describe patient's experiences of lifestyle changes in diabetes type 2.MethodA literature study was carried through based on 12 qualitative scientific articles.ResultsThe analysis result into two main themes and eight subthemes. Main themes where barriers and motivators for lifestyle changes and the subthemes where struggle, denial, lack of knowledge, alienation, support, motivation, acceptance and knowledge.ConclusionThis study shows that lifestyle changes are experienced different by patient with diabetes and nurses should therefore be aware of the unique and specific demands these patients require. This is important for providing a good diabetic healthcare and to help patients with their self-management.

central del i den psykiatriska omvårdnaden och kännetecknas av professionellt
engagemang från sjuksköterskan. I vården av en psykotisk patient var det
viktigt att vårdrelationen var kontinuerlig och väletablerad. Syfte: Syftet med
studien var att uppnå en fördjupad förståelse för sjuksköterskor upplevelser av
vårdrelationen med patienter med psykos. Metod: En litteraturstudie med
innehållsanalys av sju vetenskapliga artiklar genomfördes. Artiklarna
granskades med kvalitativ ansats och manifest utgångspunkt för att uppnå en
helhetsförståelse.

The person's behavior is affected when mental functions such as memory, attention, concentration and language are affected and the dementia patient can have difficulties to interpret sensory input. Communication is based a lot on body language. It is therefore important for the caregiver to seek eye contact with the patient in order to simplify communication and it can be of great help to show with the whole body what they mean and be able to point out things.

Sjuksköterskans upplevelse av transkulturell omvårdnad : -en systematisk litteraturstudie
Bakgrund: År 2013 var det 1,5 miljoner av den svenska befolkningen som hade invandrarbakgrund. Vårdkontexten blir allt mer mångkulturell och sjuksköterskan är skyldig att möta patientens kulturella och andliga behov. Syfte: Syftet med den systematiska litteraturstudien var att belysa sjuksköterskans upplevelse av att vårda patienter med en annan kulturell bakgrund. Metod: En systematisk litteraturstudie som utgjordes av åtta empiriska orginalartiklar. Ett induktivt förhållningssätt tillämpades vid analysprocessen.
