To this date, mostly B2C companies have been successful in their social media strategies. This qualitative thesis aims to investigate how B2B companies can benefit from using social media as a means to communicate and build relations with their customers. The medtech industry has been chosen as the object of study.Through depth interviews with people in the medtech industry and social media experts, data has been collected in order to answer the questions of (1) how ready customers in the medtech industry are to receive information through social media and (2) how companies can build the best possible social media strategy.

Syfte: Att undersöka intensivvårdssjuksköterskors upplevelser av att smärtlindra respiratorvårdade patienter där både verbal och icke verbal kommunikation är en utmaning.Bakgrund: Intensivvårdssjuksköterskor möter dagligen respiratorbehandlade patienter som vårdas på grund av svåra sjukdomstillstånd. Denna patientgrupp upplever måttlig till svår smärta och intensivvårdssjuksköterskan ställs inför utmaningen att ge en adekvat smärtlindring. När dessa patienter inte kan kommunicera verbalt måste bedömningen av patientens behov ske utifrån tolkningar av kroppsspråk, ansiktsuttryck och fysiologiska reaktioner.Design: En kvalitativ intervjustudie med induktiv ansats.Metod: Sex intensivvårdssjuksköterskor från två intensivvårdsavdelningar vid samma sjukhus i norra Sverige intervjuades hösten 2014 med stöd av en semistrukturerad intervjuguide. Intervjuerna analyserades med kvalitativ innehållsanalys där tre kategorier och elva subkategorier framkom.Resultat: Analysen resulterade i tre kategorier: att hitta en hållbar medicinsk och omvårdnadsmässig smärtbehandling, att skapa en ömsesidig kommunikation är en utmaning, samarbete och utbildning skapar förutsättningar för en patientsäker vård.Konklusion: För att optimera smärtlindring till respiratorvårdade patienter krävs både omvårdnadsåtgärder samt farmakologisk behandling. Det finns en rädsla att underbehandla smärta vilket kan skapa känslor av otillräcklighet och frustration.

In an effort to strengthen democracy in the union, the EU in 2005 took a new approach to communications policy to reach out to the citizens. The strategic document "Plan D for Democracy, Dialogue and Debate" was accompanied by two other documents, and the three of them were the core of this policy. Both democracy and communications work means at EU level a higher complexity than in the nation-state arena. Objective of this study is to examine how the implementation of Plan D has turned out in a democracy renewal perspective. To achieve that answers are sought to questions concerning the goals of Plan D, how they are still present today, what happened in practice regarding the efforts that are highlighted, and how the substance of the activities can be judged from a democratic theory perspective.
