På Ovako i Hofors, framställs stål via götgjutning. Göten har ett kvadratiskt tvärsnitt som varierar mellan 300 och 700 mm. Dessa transporteras från stålverket, till valsverket för uppvärmning. Varpå de varmvalsas till färdiga ämnen. Under tiden i ugnen när göten värms upp, oxiderar järn och andra legeringar och bildar glödskal.

The construction and real estate industry represents a significant part of Sweden's total impact on the environment and mainly affects the following national environmental objectives: reduced climate impact, a good built environment and a non-toxic environment. By establishing internal rules, companies within the industry can reduce their environmental impact. SMT (AB Sandvik Materials Technology), a part of the industrial group Sandvik AB, has set a target that during 2014 develop a guiding document with special consider to the environmental impact during construction of office buildings, that they establish at the Swedish regional capital Sandviken, for both internal and external tenants. This study therefore aims to clarify which environmental aspects that the construction and real estate sector mainly are responsible for, and therefore should be part of a guiding document for a company for establishing office buildings, and to present arguments regarding the use of such a document. The study is based on literature studies and personal contact with other companies, in the form of e-mail conversations and a telephone interview.

AbstractFalu Copper Mine and Sustainable DevelopmentKarl-Markus AnsnaesFalu copper mine was Sweden?s oldest mine industry which lasted for almost a thousand years. Throughout the history its area has been vastly contaminated by sulfur oxide. The contaminations has created the mining area to an environmental risk zone which has the ability to spread out into the Falu River. The river has its connections to the Dal River which is discharging towards its mouth in the Baltic Sea.

Forskning om människans fysiologi och hur den fungerar uppdateras dagligen. Inom idrottens värld testas nya som gamla, naturliga som onaturliga preparat och träningsmetoder kontinuerligt, allt för att optimera en idrottares prestation. Ett ämne som det forskas mycket om idag är kvävemonoxid och dess påverkan i kroppen. Från att ha tolkats som ett skadligt ämne i kroppen har det gått till att möjligen kunna hjälpa hjärtsjuka patienter och även optimera idrottsutövande. Kvävemonoxid bildas i kroppen naturligt med hjälp av syre, men det kan även bildas utan syre genom intag av nitrat som hittas i många grönsaker.

It is important that the current urine separating systems are evaluated to allow improvements to be made and consequently increase their future propagation. In order to increase the knowledge about urine separating systems this study was made. It included, among other things, measurements of amounts of urine as well as of the composition of urine collected at Nytorgsgatan 4 in the city of Hallsberg. The study was increased after an inquiry that also included the district of Understenshöjden in the city of Stockholm. In the inquiry, the users were asked questions about odour, cleaning of toilets and occurrence of blockages in the urine water locks etc.
