Aim: The aim of this study was to describe how immigrants have experienced nurse's attitude and how they would like nurse´s to care for them in the Swedish health care. Method: The authors have conducted an interview study with qualitative approach. The sampling method used was a convenience sample. The informants were recruited at a school after the authors received the principal's approval. Eight semi-structured interviews were performed with an interview guide for support.

Anorexia nervosa is a severe and multifaceted eating disorder generally found in the female population. Throughout anorectic starvation relationship related conflicts revolving round power and autonomy are bound to happen. For that reason the most crucial part of treatment should be to build a trusting relationship.The aim of this study was to describe relationship promoting strategies a nurse can use during care of anorexia nervosa patients. This literature study derives from a qualitative analysis of scientific articles. The findings indicate on five different strategies a nurse can use during care of anorexia nervosa patients.

Bakgrund: Liverpool Care Pathway (LCP) är en vägledning för att vårda patienter i livets slutskede. Den är framtagen i syfte att överföra den palliativa modellen av vård till annan vårdkontext. LCP ger vägledning i kommunikation inom det multiprofessionella teamet, med anhöriga och med patienten som är döende. LCP utgör en guide för läkare om att förskriva läkemedel mot de vanligaste symtomen som kan uppträda i livets slut, för att förbättra symtomhanteringen.  LCP används idag i Sverige på flera håll inom olika ramar av vårdinrättningar. Syfte: Syftet var med denna litteraturöversikt att ur ett sjuksköterskeperspektiv beskriva vård i livets slutskede med tillämpning av Liverpool Care Pathway på akutvårdsavdelningar.

Vården som utförs på intensivvårdsavdelningar präglas av övervakningsutrustning vilket kan medföra svårigheter för de närstående att komma nära den som vårdas. De gånger när livsuppehållande behandling inte räcker till tar vården en annan riktning och övergår till palliativ vård på IVA. Som omvårdnadsansvarig för patienten befinner sig intensivvårdsjuksköterskan ofta nära de närstående. För att kunna främja mötet med närstående behövs en förmåga att kunna sätta sig in i de närståendes livsvärld. Studiens syfte var att belysa intensivvårdssjuksköterskans upplevelse av att möta närstående till patienter där livsuppehållande behandling avvecklats och övergår till palliativ vård på IVA.
