Det mest omskrivna verksamhetsområdet både i tidningarnaoch i pressmeddelandena är djur och natur..

Tidigare forskning (t.ex. Miller & Lynam, 2001) har påvisat att intagna i fängelse harlägre nivåer i personlighetsegenskapen samvetsgrannhet än ostraffade individer. Enstudie i Sverige (Eriksson, 2010) har funnit motsatsen. Det råder viss oenighet inomvetenskapen om sambanden mellan samvetsgrannhet och psykopati hos kriminella. Syftetmed föreliggande studie var att undersöka skillnaderna mellan straffade och ostraffadeindivider samt utreda motstridigheterna i litteraturen.

The object with this bachelor thesis is to illustrate if equality is present during the interaction between female and male players in the World of Warcraft with focus on the female players conception. The main question is: How does gender matter in the interaction between female and male players in WoW? This question is particularly interesting because WoW is in its own construction neutral in regards to gender in the aspect that gender does not hinder or benefit your avatar when it comes to the avatars development or possibilities. This bachelor thesis describes the views three of female WoW players and how they perceive the interaction with male players with focus on equality. The informants? personal thoughts and experiences are described.

Of all observable societal trends, the proliferation of standardizing processes is striking. Auditing standards are an illustrative example of this. Not only privately owned companies must today make available numbers and key figures to satisfy needs of information and knowledge. Government agencies are increasingly conforming to this trend, adopting standards for quality assurance and monitoring, producing numbers and annual reports ? despite their somewhat ambiguous task and role.

Profit in first commercial thinnings of today is hard to achieve. This is because of prevailing pulpwood prices and because of high costs of logging and transport. To reduce these costs higher productivity is advocated. One way to increase the productivity is the use of multi-tree handling harvester heads. The aim of this study was to calculate logging and transport costs in first thinnings, where multi-tree handling has been used.

Denna studie behandlar webbaserade läromedel och läroböcker. Läromedel är verktyg som används i undervisningen. En pedagogisk text är inte neutral eller objektiv. Den övergripande problemformuleringen var hur dessa läromedel behandlar Kubakrisen, vad som privilegieras och vad för konsekvenser detta får. För att besvara detta ställdes två frågor: Vilka länder fokuserar läromedlen på? Vilka händelser tas upp och hur behandlas de? Frågorna besvarades i sin tur med en kvantitativ och en kvalitativ textanalys.

SyfteSyftet med uppsatsen är att med utgångspunk i Hofstedes studier om påverkan av kultur i organisationer undersöka hur nationell kultur påverkar personers handlande inom organisationer och om kulturella skillnader kan utgöra ett hinder för samarbete. FrågeställningVad är sambandet mellan nationell- och organisationskultur? Hur viktigt är det att ta hänsyn till den nationella kulturen när företag etablerar sig utomlands? Vad kan skillnaderna i kultur ha för effekter vid ett internationellt samarbete?MetodUppsatsen bygger på en kvalitativ studie. Jag har med hjälp av relevanta böcker och tidigare forskning undersökt IKEA:s etablering i Ryssland.SlutsatserDet är omöjligt för en organisation att förbli helt neutral vid en etablering utomlands då den är beroende av samarbetet och kommunikationen med omgivningen.Studien bevisar att Hofstedes teori stämmer delvis då IKEA påverkats av både den ryska marknaden och nationella kulturen.Fastän nationell kultur har en stor påverkan på företag som etablerar sig utomlands, så är den inte ensam om att influera organisationen. IKEA:s etablering i Ryssland påverkades inte lika mycket av den nationella kulturen som det påverkades av det politiska systemet och korruption.Kulturella skillnader kan vara en orsak till misslyckade samarbeten, men jag anser att med rätt ledarskap och en tydlig organisationskultur så skulle ett företag kunna etablera sig var som helst. .

An unpredictable global environment has resulted in high unemployment in Sweden in 2025. To ensure continued positive development of the country's GDP, it is therefore important to promote organizational diversity, as this can in turn contribute to increased innovation. However, unconscious bias among managers and recruiters can lead to distorted recruitment decisions that risk undermining diversity efforts. This study aims to increase understanding of how managers and recruiters handle unconscious bias during recruitment, as well as to identify specific methods organizations can use to improve their diversity. The study includes twelve qualitative interviews with respondents in formal managerial or recruitment roles from eight different organizations, analyzed through theories and previous research.

This study aims to investigate, describe and discuss the views of a group of adolescents on their identity and the process of second language acquisition. They all came to Sweden and started studying in Swedish schools in the last three years without any knowledge of the Swedish language.The study has been conducted with respect to the adolescents own perspectives and what they consider important.The methods used are group discussions/ interviews, observations in class and informal discussions with teachers and adolescents.Their voices are described and discussed in this paper. One must take into consideration that there is no objective of being neutral or to generalize the results to any other group or category. On the contrary the study has involved critical self- scrutiny and active reflexivity according to ethnographic tradition.Symbolic interaction has provided a theoretical framework for the study. Looking into how social identities may be constructed or communicated from the adolescents voices and looking in to their use of language the study reveals that several expectations and situations need? to be met by different identities.

The trend towards increasingly large farming units raises questions regarding how to better monitor production. Larger units make the impact from possible errors more severe, which increases the pressure on management supervision. To cope with management issues, prevent errors and handle increased demands on traceability and documentation, the Real Time Location Systems (RTLS) concept is making its way into various parts of agriculture. In sectors outside agriculture, RTLS are already being used successfully to track and locate items through nodes at different levels of accuracy, such as room level or the relative or absolute position. Empirical data can be received in real time from the nodes.

Unga vuxna tenderar att spendera mer tid på sociala medier än på någon annan daglig aktivitet, där det populäraste sättet att kommunicera är genom att dela bilder. Samtidigt har intresset för hälsa och fitness hos allmänheten ökat de senaste åren. Tidigare studier påvisar att ett ständigt fokus på hälsa och fitness kan leda till låg självkänsla och missnöje över sin kropp. Majotiteten av de tidigare studierna har fokuserat på de negativa hälsoutfallen med sociala medier och påverkan på människors hälsa. Syftet med studien var att ur en neutral synvinkel, beskriva unga kvinnors upplevelser samt påverkan av sociala mediers exponering av kost och träning.

Glycerol is essential for the lipid metabolism of both plants and animals. Glycerol is formed in the rumen by hydrolysis of lipids from the feed. Glycerol is also a by-product from the production of biodiesel from rapeseed oil and other fat sources. Glycerol might be used as a dietary glucose precursor for dairy cows in similar ways as propylene glycol. Due to increased production of biodiesel more glycerol has been available to a lower price.

This report is the result of a thesis carried out at the Department of Innovation, Design and Technology (IDT), at Mälardalen University on behalf of ABB AB Machines.The year was 1988 when ASEA and Brown Boveri formed a joint venture under the name ABB (Asea Brown Boveri).We perform our thesis at the division Discrete Automation and Motion where they primarily develops, manufactures and sells synchronous and asynchronous AC motors and generators.The main purpose of this thesis was initially to write a general packaging instruction, but the priority changed to develop more specific packaging instructions for Rotors, Stator gables, Bearing support and Outer Cover (plates) instead.The work started off to deal with a problem about that the staff had to start its work to grind away rust on the stator gables due to those stored outdoors. The result was mainly an investment in a new gable rack so that the material can be stored inside, as well as a packing instruction as it was originally intended.The problem on the bearing supports were that the staff thought it was demanding and difficult to clean them from the rustproofing they were greased in. If it is not possible to remove all rust protection it can cause the paint to not attach properly. After having compared with similar articles a test were done to order a pair of bearing supports without corrosion inhibitor, which gave good results. This initiative also set in motion a process to do the same for more different items.For special pallet, a survey were made of the process with two different VSM and a calculation of how much ABB would earn at ordering more special pallets than getting the material delivered on the A-pallets.

The aim of this essay is to examine how people living in the Swedish countryside looked upon changes in the interiors through modernization in 1850-90. For the first time, there was an abundance of objects available in stores in the countryside that the majority of the population had money buy. Many novelties were introduced in the interior decoration of ordinary peoples´ homes. This study focuses on the introduction and use of wallpaper and is based on a questionnaire about wallpaper sent from the Nordiska museet, National museum of Culture history in Sweden, to people all over Sweden in 1948. 148 people responded to the questions about use and attitudes toward wallpaper during the second half of the 19th century.My theoretical perspective is cultural diffusion, the spread of cultural items, more specific the diffusion of innovations from larger to smaller places, often influenced by social elites, hierarchical diffusion, and between individuals, contagious diffusion.The analytical perspective used for the analysis is based on the concepts of basic and variable modernity, initiated by the historian Sven-Eric Liedman.
